Site was spotless, very clean and tidy. Only thing to note is that the one end of the park is very close to a train track with trains running all through the night.
Close to nearby attractions so very handy when visiting different areas of the Peak District.

Absolutely wonderful campsite. Check in was easy and friendly.
The campsite itself is clean and tidy and the facilities are modern and in great condition.
Pleasant surroundings, and lots of room on the pitch itself.
Right next to the train station which for me was a bonus as I wanted to get around by train.

We picked this site as it was close to many attractions that we wanted to visit; Derwent Dam, Mam Tor, Eyam (plague) village, Winnats Pass, Blue John Caves and anymore beautiful places in the area. For that purpose, the site is brilliant.
However, it is slap bang between a train track and an A road. The freight trains run from 04. 45am every morning, I know this because they woke me and kept me awake, every morning.
Then it's practically every 15 minutes with the commuter trains, all day. The heavy traffic on the A road also starts really early too. Unfortunately, for that reason alone we would would NOT go back.
The site is scrupulously clean, very well managed, lovely, well tendered gardens and plants, along with a very helpful site owner.
We have a VW camper with an awning and had chosen a hard standing pitch, unaware that Hardstanding meant completely hard standing, (all other sites we have ever been to have gravel Hardstanding with grass to the side) so we were unable to pitch our awnjng as it was paving slabs.
The owner very kindly let us move to a larger, grass pitch within the seasonal pitches. The communal bins were full each day making it difficult to put our rubbish into.
The showers were very hot and you had to keep pressing a button for the water as it shut off after about 10 seconds.
A lovely site, but noisy traffic.

Lovely site exceptionally well managed and friendly team of Pam and Graham.
The only slight issue (and I'm being really picky) is that the showers remain on for only 2 or 3 seconds for each press of the button. Maybe something to look at?
Again a minor issue for a fantastic stay right in the Peak District 🗻

We had a lovely stay. And stayed an extra night in the end. Nice site lovely owners. And very happy to help.
Would go back without a doubt.
The only down side is it very close to train line. It did not bother us. And you do get used to it.
We were over looking the river. So lovely to have your tea looking at the river

Lovely clean and tidy site. Owners very helpful when booking and on arrival. We were given a couple of printouts with all the information we needed for the site and information on the local area, shops, places to eat, bus stops etc.
The only downside was the noise from trains. Didn't affect me as I sleep well but my husband found it difficult to get back to sleep after being woken by trains first thing in morning. We sat outside in the evening and soon got used to trains so it didn't spoil our stay.
Lovely lovely area for walking and some glorious views.

Lovely quiet site with great facilities. Walking and cycling is fantastic out here.
Train station 2 mins away, we went to Meadowhall for food then back as the weather was dreadful.
The pub up the road was doing burger night again for the second night running, food was lovely though.
Definitely go to this site again.

Great Campsite very tidy and well kept, set out lovely so your not over looked and most area's has its own hard standing.
We didn't use the toilet's or showers because of restriction in place at the time but you could tell it was clean and well looked after, Every area had hand sanitizer and cleaner available.
The owner was quick at communication via email and we were given good clear instructions on arrival,
This site is well placed for walking or family time, a few pubs near by and bakery, children park in the village, garage shop very well equipped for everything thing you could want,
Will definitely be staying again met all our wants and needs
