Just stayed here for May BH weekend for 3 nights. What a great site! Could not fault anything and in such a lovely location.
We have large tunnel tent so booked extra large pitch, which was big enough for tent, car and motorbike, still with room to spare.
Showerblock facilities very clean and tidy-never queued for showers or toilets.
Shop was very well stocked with everything you may need and was open until 9pm everyday! The staff at the pub very friendly and the pub was welcome refuge from the wind! Used WI-FI access whilst there. Did not try restaurant or cafe but both seemed very popular.
Location was great - statics hidden in amongst trees so not obtrusive, and although campsite full we did not feel crammed in at all. Excellent layout of the all the pitches. Kids loved the adventure play area and spent ages playing there when they had chance.
We walked to Sheringham then returned via the steam railway to Weybourne station. Would recommend walk from Cley-next-sea to Blakeney. Kids enjoyed the crabbing in Blakeney and we enjoyed the pub!

We were recommended to this site, by some friends of ours, who have been there quite a few times. I can now fully understand why, what a fabulous site. We had our two children with us, aged 7 & 5. They loved the open field with play equipment in, and my son loved kicking a football around in there.
The showers were fine, I'm not overly tall, but seemed to spend considerable time arching to get under the water. They were very clean though, which was no easy task as we had had a lot of rain prior to our weekend.
The club house in the evening was fantastic. On the Saturday night we went for the children's disco. The DJ was brilliant and gave out loads of prizes to the children, our daughter was thrilled with the Zac Efron album!.
The area itself is lovely, you can hear the steam train go past, and have a platform to take pictures from. There's lots to do in the locality, we did the seal trip from Blakeney.
All in all, had a fabulous time and would definitely go there again, well well worth it.

Had a great time here with 3 touring caravans units. We went for the Halloween weekend where the kids and us oldens could get dressed up and had a fab time. The disco was great for everyone to let off steam. We stayed on red squirrel area at the bottom near the blue field as our friends had a dog. We had no problems with dogs and this area was full compared to the other areas. Only moan would be that they had closed the toilet block and you had to use the blue butterfly block which was a fair walk for one of our friends who is disabled. We were not told that it was closed when we turned up and think we should have been as we had paid for this facility. Overall we had a great time and would recommend it, and will go next year

This is our second visit this year. We stayed in the Red Squirral area as we have 2 dogs. This is a huge area with one end having very mature trees giving you more privacy. The other end of this area is being updated to 'Super Pitches' and although no work was being done during our weeks stay, young trees have been planted and new electrics our in. We were slightly upset that this area was very busy, yet the toilets were closed for the season and you had to use the toilets on the yellow or blue area. This information was not provided prior to booking.
As always plenty to do, from moth identification, batty talks and pumpkin carving (which was free and great fun). The walks and cycle rides are great. You can go for miles and hours. As the outdoor pool is closed you had to pay for use of the indoor pool, this is expensive.
Entertainment was on in the evenings for both children and adults. The staff in reception are very helpful and the security guards are polite and friendly. The shop is very well stocked (as my husband forgot his swimming trunks and I bought him some from there!). Worth a visit.

Just returned from a 10 day break at the caravan park. A very clean, well run and friendly site. Plenty of things to do both on and off site. Well stocked shop, with competetive prices. Good security and helpful staff. Perhaps some of the fields were limited for privacy, but no problems with noise. Far more tents than caravans, but overall a good mix. Very clean facilities. Adequate amount of showers but can get busy in peak times.
Had a wonderful time. Did think the indoor pool was very expensive but the more you used the better the price. Band system for outside pool, and perhaps a little too strict with family members!
Definitely will return. Norfolk is beautiful!

We have just returned from our first camping trip and were recommended this site by some friends and were not disappointed.
Pitches sizes were good and not crammed in! We were in blue butterfly, which was at the bottom corner of the site. The large toilet block was excellent, no cold showers and cleaned daily, we never had to wait for a shower. Each of the 3 touring sections has its own shower block.
Playground area was large for the children and they could cycle around the site and felt safe.
The shop was very well stocked from your pint of milk, to DVD hire and even camping equipment.
The cycle hire was reasonable at £8 for 1 day, which helped tour the site! Very helpful staff here repaired my daughters punctured tyre! Thank you!
Agree with previous comments with regards to the indoor pool and gym facilities, its expensive, but the outside pool is free of charge.
Food on site was good. We had 2 x 12' pizzas & garlic bread for £16.95 one night and 2 adults and 2 children's meals for £28 in the Forge restaurant.
Would def recommend.

Just returned from a great three-night stay at Kelling Heath, pitched in the red squirrel area (far end) which we found to be handy for the toilet block and also seemed to be less cramped than other areas. Had plenty of space and although we don't have a dog, would choose to stay in this area again. The site is vast and am sure we only saw a fraction of it during our stay. Loads of great places to visit within easy driving distance, great fun crabbing off Cromer pier and fantastic fish & chips in Sheringham. Only criticism of the campsite would be the scalding hot showers at all times of day which were unpleasant for me and almost unbearable for my daughter. If the idea is to prevent campers from lingering then they have succeeded. But all in all a great holiday and we will definitely go back.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Kelling Heath with our two boys.
Wow.What an amazing site. It was full, when we booked we got the last pitch, 392 in the red squirrel area. I was slightly dubious as it was the area for dogs, however, we didn't see any dog mess and were certainly not disturbed by any late night barking - which we have had before.
Red squirrel is a large field split by some natural hedging, the pitches are large, flat and grass is kept short. We have a large 10 man tent 7x8 and had plenty of space for our tent and car and our little outside setup. They do charge for a gazebo but we didn't take ours.
There are toilet blocks which service each field, my only criticism would be they could do with one more at least at peak season especially. There were often queues for the showers and washing up facilities, but not for very long and everyone was in good spirits. We would make sure we were a little nearer should we book again.
The campsite itself is set in an area of outstanding beauty. We went on a batwalk with a local conservationist, all included as part of the camping fee. It was fantastic! My two boys 9 & 10 loved it. Gerry (our leader) told us all about the local bats, gave us detectors to use and walked us around the woodland showing us the bat activity.Simply fascinating and we are considering putting up bat boxes at home now! Especially as we learnt they eat up to 3000 insects per day! handy if you get bitten alive in the Summer!
The campsite is covered in hundreds of static caravans/lodges, but you just don't see them! They are all hidden in the woods, beautifully done. We went on a 5 mile bike ride around the site, following the numbered posts - up to 45 posts. My boys loved racing around to find the next number. It was fairly flat and mainly on gravel so suitable for all and a great way of exploring the site's 240 acres!
There are lots of facilities on site, a great shop with some local produce, and not overpriced.
There is an outdoor pool all included in your pitch price, however you pay for the indoor pool which we didn't need to do as we had pretty good weather. It looked lovely though, despite being pricey £75 for 4 for a week I think.
Evening entertainment seemed acceptable, we didn't really sit and watch it, but it looked ok. Lots of people did make an evening of it and seemed to be enjoying themselves. The kids can play boules, table tennis, mini arcade (hidden inside) and there are a couple of restaurants, one with kids entertainment which looked great for younger ones!
We didn't eat there, but the food looked ok. The pizzeria was popular but when I asked another family how it was they said they wished they had gone out for fish and chips. So we did!
Holt, the nearest village, simply stunning, has two fish and chip shops. We tried out both, we preferred Alberts, but both were fresh and tasty.
We went for lunch in a local gem called 'cookies' on coast road A149 near cley, you have to book to get a table. It specialises in local crab and seafood and does a lovely salad for around £7/8.
The campsite is 5 mins from the sea, and is surrounded by beautiful villages. This area has far more than its fair share of beautiful stone cottages. Having explored the South West on numerous occasions we will certainly be returning here instead! Ice creams, food and drink prices have not been over-inflated like Devon/Cornwall and the locals are enjoying a boom!
We went on a seal watching trip £6 pp in Blakeney, around 15 mins from Kelling. Well worth the trip, we all enjoyed the hour spent watching the seals in their local habitat. We booked with Beans boats. Superb little trip!
We visited Wells beach, Sherringham, Holkham, Cromer, and all the little villages in between. All worth a look.
The North Norfolk steam train stops on the campsite itself and is worth a look, we didn't travel on it as we felt £25 for our family was quite a lot but it looked fab and was a real reminder of times gone by!
We are regular campers and have visited many campsites all over the UK, we didn't want to leave! Despite being full, we never felt overcrowded and it seemed quiet. The noise rule of 11pm was adhered to! It was silent at 11pm.This is unheard of in our experience!
A truly unspoilt area, a beautiful campsite and we cannot wait to return!

Our Second visit to Kelling Heath we went 3 yrs ago.We booked 3 weeks before we went so ended up in the red feild, the dog field. A bit disappointed at first because we are not real dog lovers but we only heard a dog bark once and only seen 1 dog off its lead on 1 occasion. This is a good field to stay in, as mentioned before, it's close to everything. My mum has walking difficulties and although last time we were closer to the toilets she couldn't manage the walk to the bar.
Don't forget your torch its pitch black at night a bucket or porter potty is essential if you have kids using the loo at night.
Nice to see the improvement in the system to using the outdoor pool. Last time our children didn't get a chance to use the pool, as people would sit ther all day,now they have a band system which is better but you still can have a long wait.
The food in the bar was lovely this time too, prices not too bad either. The campsite is lovely lots for the kids to do, 2 adventure playgrounds, a trim trail, cycle paths, ping pong tables, bouls, tennis, fishing, and archery and a small games room in the bar .There are also planned craft activities on offer but as we have 2 boys they were not interested in these. They could do better with planning things boys would do. Lots of freedom to roam and make friends.
The entertainment in the bar and outside in the central area was ok too. Well stocked shop where you can also buy camping equipment if needed.
The reception has also improved with a member off staff to assist you in finding out whats on offer and what local attractions are close by. All staff were polite and happy to help. We will be visiting again.

Just spent 9 days (5 of which were on my own with the children and no car)at kelling heath and overall had a great time.We pitched in the red area as we have two dogs. The pitches were a good size and the walks / cycle trails just brilliant with fantastic views. My only concern with the pitches was that fellow campers pitched how they liked and not how they were asked in reception. Although this gave them the perfect set up it meant that caravans / tents on some pitches were very close together and seemed crowded. The main toilet block has two sets of toilets / showers, so as one was being cleaned the other was open, why cant all sites do that!
I booked this site knowing I was going to be on my own and the site didn't let me down, with pond dipping, moth trapping, story telling in the woods, poppy steam train platform on site, shop, bars and out side pool and much much more.
A warm indoor pool with all the trimmings is available but at a price!
We cycled around the park every day following well laid out trails and still didn't see all the park.
Well worth a visit and my family and I are going back again in the Autumn.
