Was completely unimpressed with this site, a lot of money for not a lot of thought or service! The water taps were few & far between. The pitches were very small & we felt extremely hemmed in with hardly enough room to open the caravan window before it was touching our next door neighbours car! The pitches were lined up in an awful uniformed way. I agree with many of the other comments about the type of people visiting; very loud lager swilling louts having parties til late was our experience! I also agree with others re. The outdoor pool was a joke, we were there for a week & the kids didn't get to go in once, due to the stupid one in one out rule! Everything came with a price; fishing, tennis etc & was expensive to say how much you pay per night. The toilets & showers were OK & clean, but the whole place seemed to lack personality. In summary, wouldn't rush back & has confirmed my thoughts about the huge holiday park type complex & mentality.

Just back from our 1st visit to Kelling Heath. Overall impressed with the site. We had nice size pitches in blue butterfly field which was not too long a walk to the centre of the site. Right next to the toilets / showers, which we were not sure about at first, but they were not a problem - clean and well looked after and hot water too. However only 3 / 4 showers to whole field bit of a wait some mornings. If you got there around 8am they were empty. Kids loved it riding around on their bikes there is a nice play area closes to blue butterfly field. Kids also enjoyed ping pong (take your own bats) and boules. There is also a very good assault course enjoyed by kids and adults. Fishing too for a £1 in the small pond. Bikes for hire think they were around £10 it rained the day we were going to hire adult bikes. Did not go on the train thought it was expensive. Now what too moan about! The washing up area, well 4 sinks ,what ever time you got there they were full. Not enough in my opinion, who likes washing up at the best of times, me actually but hated it at Kelling Heath. The next moan, the food in the bar it got sent back my pasta must have been cooking for 3 days, I was told when I ordered it it was the last one (should have realised then) it tasted like nothing on earth, my partner had cold chips too. Well the steak and kidney pudding it was replaced with wasn't much better, hard as rock, the Sister in Law couldn't eat her gammon special either it was too salty and fatty, cooked in a microwave too. May have been a bad night but think its more likely that the meals are prepared and just heated up ,as they were served far too quick. Pop into sherringham pubs tucked away and small cafe etc. don't go too late though or you will be struggling for somewhere to eat. We ended up in Croma in the Something?? Gardens , lovely place, food nice bit more expensive but worth it. All in all would visit Kelling Heath again just have BBQS and eat out and visit the beaches. Oh forgot about the pool one of the reasons we picked the site ,very disappointed never got to go in partly because of weather but when it did get better there were massive ques 1 in 1 out system just doesn't work.Complained about it ,just told to fill in comments on leaving. They should do am /pm sessions. People just sit it there all day its a joke, kids well disappointed

Although I tend to agree with most reviews here regarding facilities, staff friendliness etc., I think that maybe I am in the minority (like one other reviewer) in pointing out the downsides at this site. For some reason, you tend to get a bit of a 'beer-it-up-and-talk-in-loud-voices-till-very-late' crowd who have no concept of consideration for other people. If you like noise till 1 am, fine, if not stay well away from the touring pitches next to the heathland. Bike shop staff extremely helpful and biking round the woods and heath has got to be the best value at £13 for 2 adults and 1 child for half a day! Showers and toilets good and cleaned regularly and location stunning. You could always try the farm next door for a quiet pitch :o)

We stayed here for 3 days / 2 nights. It's not the type of site I would normally go for as I like quite basic sites, however we thought this would make a nice change for the kids and we could have a lazy weekend. However we didn't get a chance to have a lazy weekend at all. There is plenty to do here. Our Saturday consisted of the kids going on the adventure playground before breakfast. We then did a walk around the forest. After lunch, the kids went swimming and then enjoyed spending some time watching the tadpoles in the pond and then played on the assault course. After that it was time for some tea so that we could go on the bat walk later in the evening. The staff are all nice. The facilities are amazing. There are toilet/shower blocks dotted all around the campsite and they were kept clean. There are plenty of showers and toilets. There are sinks for washing up dishes inside and outside. The only downside I found was that the pitches are quite expensive, however the pitches are a pretty good size and there are plenty of facilities on the site.

Stayed at Kelling for a week over the spring bank holidays. Beautiful site, nice sized pitch and quiet in the area we stopped. The site was very busy and I didn't think the shower blocks would cope, but we didn't have any problems and the water was always hot. The weather was terrible for most of the week mainly from a very cold wind coming off the north sea, but the site is set in alot of trees and this helps protect the tents from the wind. But when the sun did come out so did the greenfly which is probably due to the time of year.
Some nice walks around the park, I'd suggest the path going west from the blue field to the train crossing then go north adjacent to the track to the viewing spot.
Facilities are very good, nice playground and field next to the touring area, good assault course just above the swimming pool. The village square is entertaining, acts playing when the weather is nice, the shop is a good size and the Terrace Bar a nice place to relax in the evening with a games room for the kids, entertainment in the evening and a big screen TV, although a bit expensive. You can also get a nice meal to takeaway from the Pizza place. We will definitely be going back, just a bit later in the year next time.

Visited this site over the Easter Weekend and, although a little put off initially by the proximity of everyone vehicles, it turned out to be absolutely fine with little disturbance from the many children who were enjoying the facilities. Plenty to do here for families and couples and all facilities were spotless. No queues for showers, which had plentiful hot water. Take a torch as it can be difficult to find your way to the toilet block at night. Enjoyed the walk alongside the North Norfolk Railway which stops to pick up passengers just outside the site. Would definitely visit again.

Spent 2 nights here and have booked a week in August. Very nice - no complaints. Great Site. Found the pitches to be of a nice size and didn't feel at all cramped. Staff are amazingly friendly and shop is well stocked and reasonably priced. It's in a lovely area and my two girls felt safe going off by themselves and have a great time on the 'bat walk'.

Went here to try out the caravan (just new to it) and get used to towing and find out what else we would need to buy! The site was quiet and great for the kids (5 and 7) plenty of space to roam, two playgrounds with us still being able to keep an eye on them. Plenty to do in the area and on the rainy days we took advantage of the on site indoor pool and facilities (steam room sauna etc.). Showers and toilets clean and the water hot once you had pressed the button a few times. Showers clean and hot (see button pressing). Shop was well stocked prices seemed ok. Really enjoyed it and would go again.

Very nice site, pretty and clean with plenty of facilities to keep everyone happy. I would recommend it to people with kids as lots of exploring and big pitches. There are two great wooden climbing frames for kids to clamber on and the steam railway next to site. The shop is well stocked and reasonably priced. It was quiet on site this weekend but the whole site did have to endure rave music from 11 til 4.30 in morning from nearby( the base is still pounding in my head!). Noone could find where it was coming from! though the site manager tried his best. That said I would return, hopefully in nice weather to make use of free outdoor pool which is great.

I'm in a minority here but I didn't like it at all. There were 15 tourers/tents max when we stayed and a huge touring field but they jammed us all in together.
Pitch was like a mudbath. Very noisy site - children running round screaming at 7.30 in the morning and adults doing similar until 1 in the morning. Overall atmosphere not very nice.
General surroundings are stunning - great walking but the rest of it let it down.
