Me and my wife have just spent 2 wonderful weeks at this site and we could not find anything wrong at all, all we can think is that if anybody moans about this site and the owners Mel and Sue, they are moaning just for the sake of moaning about something, this site is the most friendliest and loveliest site that we have ever visited, and we cannot wait to return next year.
It is 100% spotless, the toilet and shower block are open 24hrs no queues, fresh bread baked in the morning if you order it the night before, newspapers at the normal newspaper cost, and the greeting is next to none, we were told we could set out caravan up where we wanted, and we saw Mel on his bike every day saying hello to the campers
There are two beautiful lakes for the fishermen/women, beautiful woodland walks, wonderful wildlife, and total tranquillity. And NO KIDS on site.
WOOOONNDEEERFULLLL ! and you are within travel distance of some of Dorsets finest sites and attractions.
Can't praise this site high enough. If you would like any more details please mail me, only too glad to help. Mr & Mrs J Sessions. York.

We stayed here the last bank Hol in May . Booked for 7 nights stayed for 8. We didn't want to go home lol.
Fantastic site and no children lol. Perfect
Easy and friendly book in ( thankyou Mel) we were told that we could pitch anywhere in the Warren.
We have a very big tent (Outwell Wolf Lake 7) we had loads of space and privacy the best pitch we have had for years our own Fortress.
Never had to wait for showers even over the bank Holiday weekend . Showers were free and powerful Bliss after a long day walking in the forest.
Very secure site as said before you have a barrier pass.
Verwood 10 mins on the A31 we parked for free and just walked the forest. Ringwood about 15 mins by car.
Sainsbury supermarket 10 mins on the A31
Bourmouth/poole/Christchurh very easy commute.
We walked from christchurch to Hengistbury head and had a fab time on the beach with our two dogs.
Never tried any pubs for evening meals we were very lucky with the weather and had a barbie
Agree with nearly all of the previous posts.
Except
Road noise. Never bothered us for the whole of the 8 nights.
The dog walk on site is amazing.
This was one of the reasons we booked this site as we have 2 very energetic 3 year old springer spaniels. Our girls enjoyed this so much , chasing rabbits (no rabbits were harmed lol rabbits were far to fast for our two lol)
Brill for them early morning and last thing at night they came back from their walk panting ,happy and tired .
For one day out of the 8 days it rained all day and we stayed on site the girls had 2 hours running on the DOG WALK brill. The best dog walk on any campsite we have been to.
Ok they can't go into the lake area but why should they be allowed there it is a gorg place beautiful lilies and wildlife and a dog swimming would ruin it.
OH loved his early morning paper and for me the shop on site was adequate if you had forgot to buy something at the very near sainsburys.
Great site, Great Holiday would we go back .
Oh yes we will be back same time next year for 2 weeks this time.

Just got back from a brilliant week at back of beyond. The site is on a site of special scientific interest [sssi] and the wildlife is pretty amazing, deer giving birth , green woodpecker feeding chicks, rabbits and squirrels all over the place. All this I saw while sat outside my tent.
The facilities are very good and always clean. There is a Sainsburys quite close and previous reviews concerning the road being full of potholes I think are being a little unfair.
The site is great as a base for touring from it's quite central for the new forest or the coast. The only negative point I can think of is as the sun goes down the midges come out but you cant have everything but autan and fly spray on my hat seemed to keep them off a bit.
I definitely will return to this site if I holiday down here again.

We booked this site because it is adult only and the fact that there were lakes on site. The owners Mel & Sue were welcoming and pleasant and said we could pitch where we liked in the 'Warren' which has a slight slope and in the evening is visited by the local rabbit community which our dog loved.
The toilets were clean and I didn't have to wait for a shower all week. The security on the site is excellent as they have a barrier with a card entry system and the owner cycles around the site seemingly all day long keeping an eye on things. The so-called on site shop has very little to offer and daily papers, bread, croissants can be ordered.
We walked to the nearest pub for an evening meal one day - we were told this to be a 10 minute walk but in fact it was more like 20. The food, service and cleanliness of the place was awful and would avoid this one at all costs. For an excellent meal go to the St Leonards Hotel - not within walking distance.
We went during the bank holiday weekend and it was fairly busy but as most of the caravans are seasonal by Tuesday the site was very quiet and on the whole we had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. My only gripe would be that dogs are not allowed down to the area where the lakes are and the 'dog walk' is not really adequate for our bouncing labrador.
I would highly recommend this site to anyone who is looking for lots of peace and quite and is happy to drive everywhere as there is no shops etc within walking distance - unfortunately this does mean battling the very busy A31.

This site has a fabulous location - close to various resorts and The New Forest which makes it ideal for daily excursions and it's so green and peaceful that you can spend a day on site without getting bored. There is a good dog walk which includes a woodland setting and there is a fishing lake and more besides. There are many seasonal pitches which made it look busy but few were being used so it was actually very quiet until the weekend. Those people with seasonal vans were very friendly and helpful and this made our trip really memorable. We were less impressed with the very bumpy lane to the site, the lack of information available about the site layout and it's surroundings and the slipperiness of the showers. The pitch and putt would have been difficult to enjoy due to the cut grass left in drifts on the course and the fact that the flags had been left in when the grass was cut but the setting was lovely and this may have been due to lack of time. We would return to this site although we felt that £18 per night was quite expensive for the general quality of the facilities and the time of year.

A lovely adults only campsite divided into 2 sections, the 2nd being more spacious. It was quiet and not near a busy road. With it being adults only it meant no noise from excited children. The owners were friendly and very helpful and helped us pitch. Toilets were plentiful, modern and very clean. The whole site was well managed and looked after. A shop was on site selling basic provisions. I wouldn’t hesitate in coming here again when in the area.

We stayed at this wonderful site through the August bank holiday for nine days, it was sheer bliss.
The owners are very friendly and helpful, and there's a small shop in the reception area. You get a map on arrival of the campsite which is very useful.
The tent pitches are very flat, plenty of space between tents. We stayed in the area called the warren.Yes lots of nice bunnies around to look at. There are more rural and private areas in the trees if you want to be away on your own completely but that area is no hook ups.
We choose this site for peace and quiet and that's exactly what we got. You can occasionally hear a bit of noise from the busy road at rush hour, but we didn't find it bothered us and the road is some way from the campsite anyway. The toilet blocks are immaculate, plenty of showers and loos. There are supermarkets a short drive away, lots of little villages and shops, again a short drive away, and it's well worth driving around some of the back roads just to see the stunning thatched roof houses.
There's a pub at the bottom of the road, but we didn't try this out, instead we went into Ferndown a short drive away to Wetherspoons and often had lunch there.
The coast is about an hour's drive depending on what part you drive to and is well worth a visit.
Back to the campsite though. The best part is the fishing ponds on site, they are incredibly pretty and enchanting with dragonflies swooping past, bees buzzing around, butterflies, even if you don't fish, just to sit there and stare out at the water, the wildlife and very pretty waterlillies is utterly relaxing and very good for the soul; it's a little peace of heaven. My husband and his brother caught many fish whilst we were there and enjoyed the fishing a great deal; the ponds are well stocked with various fish, including goldfish and some big breeds.
You'd have to be a right moaner to find anything wrong with this site, all facilities are there, electric hook up's for tents, water close by, it's just lovely and there's not a thing to complain about, perhaps the only thing I'd say to make one small improvement (it's not a criticism) would be a bit of path lighting. Maybe some solar lights hear and there as making your way to the toilets as it's incredibly dark. So take a torch, but otherwise, it's a wonderful campsite we'll definitely be going back to and we would highly recommend.
Oh and by the way, we didn't have a problem with the road up to the campsite, it's fine, just an odd pot hole. Finding the campsite is difficult, see other people's instructions about this.

Absolutely the best camp site I have ever been to! The owners were very polite and helpful, we felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The site is so peaceful that at night you can hear the local wildlife. Everyone was considerate of each other and friendly. Our pitch was not too close to other campers and we felt we had a lot of privacy whilst still being able to have a friendly chat with other campers. Ringwood is close by - a really nice little town were you can buy anything that you have forgotten!

The site was in a very nice setting with acres of heathered woodland (which included a very good/large pitch & putt course)etc; where the wife had lots of fun walking our new puppy, and two very pretty and fishable small lakes where I spent a lot of the time. The pitches are of a generous size and are interspersed with a lot of seasonal units mostly unoccupied during our stay. The site is very clean; very secure; the grass regularly cut everywhere, and very quiet.
A little bit 'landlocked' by the dual carriageway and roundabouts, but easy access to outside entities nevertheless.
A tip for the 'satnavers': After some experimentation I found if you set it to 'Eastmoors Lane'; it will get you there right first time. As the site is at the end of an unamed road/track, it has no 'satnav' designation as such. The address: 234 Ringwood Road actually showed on my satnav as the Sainsbury's, a couple of miles further on.
Had a very nice long weekend nonetheless.

Came here for my first camping holiday and imagine I have probably been spoilt. I have no other sites to compare it with, but this place was great.
We were able to choose our own pitch and had more space than we needed. The toilet and shower facilities were clean with hot water and plenty of places to do washing up.
The staff were friendly and the shop was really useful.
Being close to the A31 makes it ideal for getting around the local area, but the site is at the end of a lane far enough away from the main road that you barely notice any traffic noise.
The only word of warning I would give is to write down the directions to the site as given on their website. Sat Nav takes you to the wrong place and it is nearly impossible to find without their directions!
A wonderful first camping holiday experience, already making plans to return.
