This site ticked all the boxes and beyond, lovely friendly welcome, shown the plot, we explained we were new to travelling by motorhome and were told any help needed let them know.
The bar is an excellent idea and a good chance to meet other like minded people, the visiting food wagons is another great incentive. ( it rained whilst at the bar and complimentary brollies were given out. )
The dog walking facilities were excellent, the toilet and showers were first class, extremely clean without the push button water release. Adults only and nice and quiet, just what we needed away from work
I have already recommended this site as an ideal base for the surrounding countryside and coast
I have found no fault.

Well, we've been here 3 times in the last two months so I believe that should give some indication of the way we feel about this site.
I've said it all in previous reviews however we did hear of some of their plans for the colder months and they appear even more attractive.
The focus seems to be on heating the bar area and the visiting food facilities.
Can I leave my apologies if our friends and us two were making a bit of noise last Sunday evening. (I never knew domino's could be so exciting) Completely out of character and not in keeping with the usual peaceful atmosphere.

We were only there a few weeks ago and nothings changed, still in our top 3 sites.
They planned live music for the night we were due to leave which was unfortunate.
We would have liked to see how good it was.
We'll be back.

The site was lovely and quiet with good sized pitches. Staff were smart and very helpful and professional. Shop was well stocked with quality products including champagne…. If you are celebrating ! And doggy ice cream.
We have an old dog and the walks very close by were good as well as near by rivers and lakes that you could get to by a short drive.
There is a ‘Bar area” which is very tastefully set out, nice chairs and tables, some undercover, stocking beverages for everyone. It closes around 8pm but it gave us a great opportunity to meet other guests and have a thoroughly. Enjoyable time.
There are food vans that change every night, supplying reasonable and good quality food should you not want to bother cooking.
Other facilities include laundry area, very clean and well designed shower/toilet areas and also a large freezer to store your freezer blocks or ice.
Cannot rate this site highly enough.

High quality site, with friendly staff and close to Poole for days out.
Facilities are top notch and Monty’s bar and food vans really help to generate a good atmosphere within the site.
Will defo return in the near future.

Second visit, last time 2019, pre covid. As I said then, this is how a caravan site should be run; and I see no reason to change that opinion.
Even better, outside bar and a visiting food van just about every night.
Unfortunately I came home with a dose of covid, still, it only lasted a week and I could have caught it anywhere.
Hope to visit again soon.

We had a warm welcome on arrival and were directed to our hardstanding pitch. This was of very good size, with adequate space on the hardstanding for our motorhome and awning plus a grass area which had a picnic table.
The 10A electricity supply was adequate for our needs. The water pressure at the on-pitch tap was good. We used the shower and toilet rooms near reception and these were always clean and tidy, as was everything on the site.
The shop was well-stocked with everyday needs and fresh baked goods could be ordered in the late afternoon for breakfast the next day. The outside bar area was mainly undercover, well furnished with chairs and tables and was spotless. Food vans visited several evenings.
Our dog really enjoyed the dog-walk in the woods. The fencing was good enough to keep him in but there were some gaps which a smaller dog would be able to fit through. There is a ditch running round part of the perimeter and ours found it, coming back rather smelly!
A few points to note: the area we were in was quite open, with hardly any visual barriers between pitches. Our hardstanding was definitely hard - at various points our steel rock pegs for the awning either bent or failed to go in at all.
We live in an extremely quiet area, only occasionally disturbed by birdsong or foxes. For us the audible proximity of St Leonards Hospital and the A31 roundabout was a disappointment as we were awoken by ambulance sirens and bikers accelerating away from the roundabout.

Very friendly and informative staff, on arrival to site we rang reception bell and a very nice lady came out and explained where all amenities were and then lead us to our fully serviced pitch,
The shower /toilet block was very clean, could not fault it,
The wood land to the rear of camp was fantastic for dog walking,
A torch is must at night, the stars were something else,
Would highly recommend, and will be returning next year,
The only down side was that the bar shut at 20:00 I would had liked this maybe to remain open untill 22:00,
Apart from that had a great time
THANK YOU ALL

Despite COVID-19 restrictions we were able to make a small group booking, for our motorhome, two tents and a trailer tent.
The lane to the site is narrow with not much parking near the entrance gate. Could be an issue when busy, specially for anyone towing?
The location appears to be handy for the castleman Trailway, but unfortunately access requires a walk/cycle along the very busy main road and through a housing estate. (In fairness, the campsite said they are trying to arrange for more direct access).
The on site catering was good - excellent fish & chips when we were there.
Only criticism was our perimeter pitch was adjacent to a ditch, home to thousands of midges that appeared at dusk to nibble on fresh campers!

Lovely campsite. Very peaceful. Facilities very clean.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Visiting food vans were great.
Only small issue, gravel has been put down on pitches/roads since we last visited which is hard to walk on.
Also the river/stream running around the site smells strongly of sewage which was not nice.
