Very quiet when we got there, but soon filled up for the Easter break. Fabulous walk to the fab beach. New wardens and couldn't have been more helpful. Beware the shop in Embleton looks like it came out of the dark ages, and don't be fooled by the grids on the windows it really is open.

July 2005 A very pleasant site with excellent staff. Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the site and its surroundings as we only stayed 2 nights and the site was full. Only gripe would be that they need more toilets and showers as its the first time we have ever had to queue for these. Recommended

July 2005 Really lovely site, it restored my husbands love of camping! Even though it was fully booked there was still lots of space between the tents and caravans - which aren't segregated like at another Clubs sites. No youths playing loud music well into the night, most folk in bed by 11,(even the folk up after 11 with the BBQs keeping their parties going were nice and quiet) really friendly helpful staff and free clean showers n loos. We loved it so much we are thinking of going back for more weekends away and even for our main holidays next year!

May 2004 The site offers what you would expect from a C&CC site, facilities second to none. The dog walk is one of the nicest we have been on and from there its only a short walk to a sandy beach. The site is on the national cycle route and between villages that boast pubs with good beer and food as well as good local shops. The local area would suit both young families or wrinklies like myself as there is plenty to do for all age groups.

August 2004 Excellent site with plenty of hardstandings and electric hookups available, clean toilet blocks and an excellent motorhome service bay for draining water / emptying loo etc
Beach about 15mins walk but well worth it on a pleasant August evening.
Staff were pleasant and friendly too.

April 04 We use this site a lot as it is only about 1 hour from home.
Usual high standards expected from the Camping and Caravanning Club. Unfortunately this site gets a bit crowded in the summer but is excellently located.
Well worth a visit

April 2004 Very nice site - small and quiet - what you would expect from the Camping and Caravanning Club. Small playpark for kids but they can ride bikes etc round the site as its fairly small. Dog walk and pathway to the beach. The shower blocks (2) are very clean but not heated making them a bit chilly for this time of year! Van comes round every morning around 9.30 selling rolls, papers, milk etc.
Embelton is 3/4 mile down the road with a post office, small shop and 3 pubs. If you take the road down to the Golf course, park up and walk through the dunes (5mins) there is the most lovely bay with views to Dunstanborough Castle
