We have just spent an enjoyable 9 days on this level and well-kept site. There are 2 good toilet and shower blocks which are kept spotless by the friendly staff.
There is an information room with leaflets about the area as well as a book swap shelf. Plenty of good walking and cycling nearby plus the excellent beaches.
The nearby golf club at Embleton is really handy if you are on the beach and fancy some refreshments. We also recommend the Jolly Fisherman in Craster and the Fishing Boat Inn at Boulmer.

Fantastic location and easy to find, upon arrival the hosts greated us, advised us on procedures and personally took us to pitch.
Plenty of room and very pleasant stay. Don’t miss visit to Crastor which is two miles away !
Walk to beach was highlight !
I would highly recommend this site

Excellent Site, very environmentally friendly. Has two electric car charge points.
We stayed on an all services pitch - large enough also to take an awning, although we did not use on this occasion. As a motor home the all services pitch was not really required as the park also has an excellent Motorhome service point which was easier to use to empty waste water, toilet and refill.
Excellent dog and games play field with swings etc. Also attached is a well gravelled path through extensive woodland / nature reserve for taking dog for a good walk.
Showers and Toilet block excellent
Certainly one of the best sites I have been on in the UK.

Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, nicest we met on our whole holiday.
We'd booked a grass pitch with no electric, as that was all that was available on line, but they immediately asked us if we wanted a hardstanding with hook up - which we did - and took us there instead for no additional charge.
Facilities very clean and well looked after. Location itself nothing special but quiet and close to Dunstanburgh castle and other attractions.
Not sure what it is about this site that has caused at least two reviewers to leave reviews for entirely different places.

A friendly little campsite with decent facilities and good pitches.
It's located next to a good pub and within walking distance of a nice reservoir when you can fish, cycle and play.
It's on the A68, which means that there's a little traffic noise but access is good.

Great site. Very clean and tidy. Managed the whole Covid situation well with the cleaning of washrooms etc. Good spacing for the units and all well managed in arrival
Great location for walks - down to Dunstanborough castle, great beach there, round to Craster in the coast one way and to low Newton the other way.
One pub / restaurant at Craster (Jolly Fisherman) and one pub at Low Newton (Ship inn)
Little shop at Embleton a short walk away
Would go again!

This is a very clean site with 5* toilet/ shower block that was great as it has a separate family room which meant my husband could take our 5 year old girl and 9 year old boy at the same time to get washed/showered etc. There was also 2 baths with showers in in the ladies shower room which meant we could wash all the sand off the children easily from our coastal visits.
There was lots of nice touches at this site - like dog water and a hook to attach dog lead to at the toilet block, washing up liquid and drying rack at the pots washing area. There was also lots of nice animals on site - but due to covid there wasn't the normal feeding and also it had a play area which was closed. There was also a well stocked shop. A big disappointment was there wasn't really a big flat field area where the boys could play football which usually they do lots of on campsites.
Near to the site we had great wood fired pizza at the Twice Brewed Inn, lovely food at the Black Bull.
It was fairly quiet in the morning apart from one morning which meant we could stay in bed till 7. 30/8am which is a must for me - although the donkey does eeyore at around 7. 30-8am!
For us - even though facilities were great - it was just too far from all the things we wanted to see in northumberland (apart from Hadrien's wall!). Also Haltwhistle seems to have its own weird microclimate which had a dark cloud over a lot of the time - as soon as we travelled away in the car each day the blue sky would come out! If we could move the site - we would definitely go again!

A familiar site, one we've used frequently, but under very unfamiliar conditions. This was our first experience of a Site operating under Covid 19 conditions.
From arrival to leaving, we felt confident that staff had everything under control. Check in is simple and well managed, capacity is reduced and facilities cut back in line with occupancy.
Toilets and showers were clean and had plenty of signage.
The Staff were as ever with the Coub, the best feature, approachable and helpful.
It was good to see the human touch had been retained- the swallows nest in the dishwashing area was good to see.
