This is a very friendly and well run site. The toilets and shower block are always clean. There is a shop on site which has most essentials. I have visted many camp sites in the UK and Europe and this is a firm favourite. There is a good pub The Coledale Inn which is in the good beer guide and serves good wholesome food within a few minutes walk.

A very pleasant site to begin our camping adventures with. Will definately visit again but possibly won't pitch so close to the stream and so far away from the facilities!

Toilet/shower block was basic but functional and always clean.

Heartily recommend the Mexican in Keswick but if your not up for the walk, there's a pub no more than a couple of minutes walk away that serves decent grub.

Nice clean, flat site but very busy at weekend. Plenty of hot water for washing up - but stand well back and the pressure is a bit high! Some campers totally disregarding the "No music or noise after 10.30p.m.". If you want an early night - don't go on an August weekend!

Lovely level site. Toilets and shower block nice and clean. Shop very well stocked and not expensive. The cafe which also does takeaway is nice and not expensive. Some lovely walks direct from the site. Recommend this site very relaxing holiday.

Stopped one night, lots of flat clean tent and caravan pitches with two lots of shower and toilet blocks each for ladies and gents. Good for walking in area especially Grisdale Pike with excellent views from top, would stop there again later in year. Walk to Keswick 2miles, or phone for taxi, approx a fiver.

Great site.Very handy for Keswick & North Lakes.Excellent cafe on site which serves breakfasts from 8AM.2 mins walk to pub The Royal Oak.Flat pitches.Only problem is that it gets very busy at weekends in Summer.

Very pleaseant site, quite quiet in March. The shop was well stocked. Breakfast was good value, but there was no food served on site in the evening (too early in the season). There are however two excellent local pubs for food.
At this time in the season there was only two (male) showers available, which meant quite a wait if you're not an early bird, the showers were however very clean.
All in all a good site that I can recommend & will return to.
