Great site. Will surely visit again. There is some room for improvement but overall it, s good.
Set in some beautiful environments. Enough space and conveniently located. Satisfactory toilet and shower facilities. Impressed by the friendliness.
A lot less busier than their sister concern. Tranquil surroundings. Good value and stay for a few days. The area itself and surroundings offer good views therefore will revisit.

This site is very popular but not without good reason. Well-situated, close to Keswick and right at the foot of Coledale fells.
Prices are towards the top of the scale (£20 per night for two people in a campervan) but the facilities make it good value.
The field is level, relatively dry and always well-mown. Theres a well stocked shop and probably the best toilet block and showers you are likely to find on a campsite, though the pot wash facilities fail to reach the same standard with a feeble flow of warm water at all the sinks.
The site and facilities are always clean, always well-tended and there is always a warm welcome.
Recommended, though perhaps not at peak holiday times due to it's popularity.

This site is brilliant. We stayed here for one night, midweek. It was very quite so we had plenty of choice for where we pitched our tents. The ground is flat all over the site. The toilet block is immaculate and wouldn't look out of place in a 4 star hotel. There is an on site shop but we only bought newspapers there. The staff in reception seemed really nice. There is a lovely pub next to the site which serves food. There are plenty of bin areas and water points around the site so there are no long walks. It cost us £41. 50 for 4 people with one car for one night so a little on the top side when it comes to price but you get what you pay for. Easy walking distance from Keswick which has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
I would certainly recommend this site and will be visiting again.

Stayed two nights here either side of the Anniversary Waltz Fell Race. We chose this because it was a quiet site, and because of other reviewers' ratings. We couldn't fault it.
Very happy with our pitch on stone. Electric hook-up was included, so we used that to increase our comfort when otherwise we wouldn't have bothered.
The crowning glory though is the toilet and shower block - kept scrupulously clean and with heated floors, we looked forward to every visit.
The shower cubicles were the most generous in size we've encountered and thanks to the heated floors were generally dry on entry.
Pleasant short walk into Braithwaite for good pub food. Keswick is in easy walking distance. Other campers were friendly.

Absolutely first class site. We genuinely could not fault it. We were at the upper end of the site and didn't hear any traffic noise as others have commented.
The fully serviced pitches are brilliant. Fantastic not having to walk down a hill to collect or empty water.
At £21 a night for us 2 adults and 2 dogs it is fantastic value for money.
The toilet & shower block is out of this world and immaculately clean. They are also heated which is a godsend given the temperatures so far this year.
On site shop was well stocked and competitively priced too.
Staff on the site were very pleasant & helpful but totally unobtrusive.
Keswick itself we found to be a lovely little town. Just about every shop in the town was dog friendly and most had water bowls at their doors.
I genuinely find it difficult to think of anything bad about this site. The only very minor thing we noticed was that some of the static caravans on the site could of done with a power wash to remove the moss. Again something or nothing really.
Will certainly be returning.

On arrival the staff and owners were polite and friendly.
We were taken to our pitch staff were really helpful.
Toilets are great really warm and clean the showers are big.
There is a shop on site they have most things in paper mags. Never tried the food.
The location is good for most of the walks in the area, it was very quiet.
Keswick is not far we walked there.
We had a great time would return anytime.

We have stayed on this site 3 times since September and have been really impressed with the facilities and staff. The toilet/shower block is spotlessly clean, the grounds are well maintained and the site shop well stocked. The site is now offering free Wi-Fi access, unfortunately I was unable to connect either with a lap top or mobile phone from our pitch. The site is within walking distance of Keswick and offers easy access to numerous walks in the area. There are 2 pubs in the village offering cask ales as well as draught beers, meals are served through out the day and are reasonably priced for the area.

This is a great site for visiting the Lakes, it was quite quiet when we visited as there were only a few tents on the grassed area. The facilities were excellent, very clean showers and plenty of room for changing and getting dry. I do however think the introduction of floor squeegees would help to keep the floor areas drier. The showers were nice and warm and well received after a day on the fells.
We had plenty of room on our pitch which was very handily placed next to the shower/toilet block. The shop was very useful and the staff helpful and pleasant. We visited the Royal Oak pub which sold good beer and decent food with generous portions and is only a few minutes walk away. The road noise as mentioned previously is intrusive if you are a light sleeper as I am, but my husband was not bothered by it at all.

Stayed here on our way to Scotland and on the way back - what a fabulous site - superbly situated in a setting that is hard to match, the scenery is superb.
The facilities are first class great showers with really warm blocks in very cold weather. The area is great for walking and cycling and within walking distance to Keswick which has an array of great pubs and outdoor shops, but there is a great pub in Braithwaite as well.
The pitches are very generous and set out well and ours was a full service pitch which was great. The shop and cafe were closed but we didn't find this a problem after all it is winter.
Love this site and will return.

Returned to this site as a base for some winter walking. As stated in previous reviews, the site facilities are spotless with modern, heated facility blocks. Pitches are very big and those closest to the office and road are fully serviced with water and waste points.
Locally, there are two good pubs and a well stocked shop. As far as I could tell the site shop and cafe were closed for the winter. The walking from the site is excellent with some superb mountain scenery on the doorstep.
A great place - can't wait to return.
