This is a lovely site with nice size tent pitches. We had a pitch right at the back of the site on the grass which we liked very much as it seemed more private than the large main area.

The showers were clean most of the time. We found that the best time to go for a shower was early afternoon when they had been cleaned and also most people don't want a shower at that time. At peak times there is a small queue for the loos and showers. You must take your own toilet paper as it does run out. If you are showering with children be prepared to be squashed in the cubicle as there is really only enough room for yourself ( I had 2 children with me). The pressure was not terrific but the temperature was ok if you have kids with you as it was warm and never hot. You do have to pay 50p into a meter every time you want a shower and the three of us did have enough time.

There is a park here which is good with swings, slide, roundabout and climbing frame which kept my little ones amused. There is also a very small shop which hardly sells anything. I think it maybe sells bread, milk and sweets. I went in for sausages but they did not have them. This site as an icepack facility. Just put your icepack into a shared freezer with your name on and you can go backwards and forwards as much as you want.

There is a large pot washing facility which is good.

The walk to the beach is about 10 minutes down quite a few steps so you have to be quite fit.

The site was never loud so is a good site for families with small children.

A lovely campsite. Plenty of hard standing pitches but grassed areas were also available. Shower/toilet block was well maintained. The only drawback was that we were kept awake the first couple of nights as there was a restless dog in the next tent barking through the night. Just a short pleasant walk to the beach which was lovely. This was our fist camping trip as a family and we weren't disappointed. My kids absolutely loved it. We had forgotten a few things and the very helpful Filey people helped us out in finding replacements. Some very good 'bargain' shops in Filey also very nice fish and chips. Would definitely recommend this site for experienced or first time campers.

Attended for seven nights following Aug Bank Hol with two adults and three boys (4, 7 and 9). Very low cost site when we are used to being charged per person on other sites making camping not a cheap option for our large family.

Filey is a wonderful town for those looking for a seaside holiday without all the tacky tourist trappings. It has clean sandy and pebbly beaches with separate bits where dogs are not permitted, a paddling pool, amazing giant fish and chips (Inghams Chippy) and a new addition of a Tesco for all your supplies.

The sea is freezing and very choppy but did not stop my boys with their body boards! This site too complemented the quiet family holiday in it's clean, tidy simplicity.

The beach is in walking distance from the site (but is uphill on the way back!), down a footpath that runs between other sites and past the golf course, bringing you out by the park, boating lake and minigolf.

The site itself is very friendly. The hardstanding - just small gravel ontop of soil so very easy to stick pegs in - for our tent was excellent for keeping things clean and, although we did use a footprint, it was not ripped or torn after seven days.

There is a park with swings, slide, climbing frame and roundabout, as well as grass area for ball games but is really only suitable for school age children.

There is a washing machine and dryer on site that was very cheap (operated by 4 x 50ps) but were small and we had to use Filey's laundrette to wash clothing and bedding and did a huge wash for £4 there.

There is a little freezer for ice packs only in laundrette. The washing up sinks were undercover to side of showerblock but a little to spidery for my kids to stick around! The bathrooms themselves were virtually spider free and lots of toilets, sinks and one privacy sink with a plug socket.

The downside for us was the fact that there are only two showers at a cost of 50p and they are sadly lacking in power or heat meaning that you had a sharp wake up in the morning. That said though, I hardly ever had to queue and it would not put me off going back. I don't mind paying for a shower when I get a decent one but these really were rubbish.

The other big difficulty for us, and it affected most pitches we spoke to, was the wasp factor. There were a significant amount of wasps on the site which prevented us from eating outside. We once came back to find fourteen in our fruit bowl in the porch! We invested in wasp traps but can't use spray in the tent on the lining, but the shriek from kids (and a few adults) on the site could always be heard from early morning.

This site is my absolute favourite site I've stayed on in my absolute favourite town. Am reluctant to rave too much about it in case it gets booked up too quickly. What I would say is if you are looking for a clean, family friendly site with laundrette and park for the kids - this is it.

There is no swimming pool or club but no noise at night time or raucous neighbours either. The site had a real atmosphere of family as the kids all made friends and we spent evenings sitting out chatting with like-minded people.

Will definitely be returning every year from now on.

Very clean campsite. In a fantastic spot with everything close by, short walk to the beach and into Filey. My children and grandchildren loved it.

Toilet and shower block were clean, sadly only one shower was working, the shower head would not stay up, other than that it lasted long enough and was warm enough, for 50p not bad.

The only thing that let it down was the number of dogs on the site. They seemed to out number any children that were there. Whilst putting up our awning the camper van on the next pitch had a dog and it constantly yapped. As did some of the other dogs on the site,

If you are a dog lover this site is ideal, if yapping and barking dogs annoy you, don't go.

Outstanding facilities and play area suitable for all ages including fields and toilets that are available all day apart from when being cleaned but really that not of a big problem.

We were there about ten days and it was of exceptionally good value.

It is all dog and child friendly with a path straight down to the beach. Showers are 50p and are warm. My children made some great friends during this family break. The camp owners seem very professional and friendly

Great little shop on site.

Yes I would Definitely stay here again.

A lovely site that is ideal for kids, when you don't want to stay at the all singing all dancing entertainment sites. Admittedly this site is in my home town, but having agreed to take 9 year old and her mate camping, thought I would keep it close by and this didn't disappoint. As stated with the exception of a small tent field to the rear of the site, the majority of pitches (tent and caravan) are hardstanding. If this leaves you uncertain, please be reassured, although I would recommend a footprint to protect your tent. However this would be ideal for beginning/end of season as there is even a hardstanding path to your pitch, so no muddy feet to worry about and the grass to each side of the pitch is perfect.

The kids loved the play area and were rarely seen except at meal times, the reception hut sells a few essentials and sweets. The undercover washup area and the toilet/showers are fine, paying 50p for a shower with plenty of time to shower.

Centenary way is to the south of Filey and a short walk brings you to Glen Gardens(with play area, cafe, boating lake, trampolines, crazy golf)if you carry on through the Crescent gardens, these will bring you to the town. By walking down the ravine(at the side of Glen Gardens)you reach the beach with snack bar, beach shop and cafe, walking the length of the beach/promeade brings you to the north end, with small amusements, cafes, ice cream and fish stalls. Despite being able to nip home, it felt a world away and thoroughly enjoyed being a holiday maker in my home town!

I have just returned from almost two weeks and wanted to pass on my positive recommendations. This is effectively the first campsite I have visited as I only bought the tourer at the end of last year. We previously had a static caravan and many years ago I went camping (tent)

The site is immaculately presented with excellent spacing between 'pitches'. It is a credit to the owners, who are very helpful and friendly.

A popular site (not surprisingly!) but very quiet and peaceful.

The toilet block, whilst a little dated, is very clean and well kept and is more than adequate.

Also good 'washing up' facilities and laundry.

There is a children's play area which my Grandson really enjoyed on his visit.

A short walk into Filey centre and also the beach, and very good (dog!) walks along the cliff tops, in both directions

I will look forward to returning later in the year.

Recommended site! - we will definitely be back.

The site: The owners are pleasant but unobtrusive. Good value - we paid £26 for 2 nights in motorhome inc EHU in May. The gravel pitches are spacious and well set out.

Toilet block is kept extremely clean - background music is a nice touch. The waste facilities (when we found them! - no signs) could be improved - no recycling on site. No club house but great location - close to amenities)

The area: Its only a 15min walk to Filey centre with pubs, bank and shops (this is down an uneven cycle/mud track. So on the night girlies wear flat shoes and take your heels in your bag!

Also a torch is essential because there are very irresponsible dog owners around here! The local pubs are great - really friendly staff and locals in all. The walk to the beach is also down the same track and takes about 15mins through a local park.

Lovely site. The site is very well laid out and neat. This is one of the few sites I have stayed on where having electric hookup didn't mean having to compromise on the quality of the pitch. We stopped on one of the gravel pitches, which are well spaced out. Toilets clean and tidy (and warm, even overnight), never used the showers so can't comment. Pleasant walk into Filey from the site. Would recommend and would definitely use again.

We stayed here in April for 5 nights in our tourer. We broke down on the way and car had to go for repairs owners on the site where very helpful and even let us leave caravan on there car park as it took over a week to repair the car

As for the site itself we could not fault anything very well kept and toilets and showers clean. Other regular caravanners on the site very friendly.

A lovely walk to filey both town and beach. Play area was great and other field for ball games. Dog walking area, small shop on site, but tesco's just down the road you really do not need a car bus stop at end of lane.

Very peaceful and quiet after 11pm which we like pitches have plenty of room We will be back and only a hour for us for a long weekend
