Just got back from 4 great days here. This was our first time out with the caravan as it was a recent purchase. Didn't know much about this site but choose it because of it's location 10 minute walk down to the front it was lovely but steep steps or 15 minute walk across the playing fields to the top end of town centre. The site was so peaceful and tranquil and everyone is so friendly. The toilet block is located centrally and is kept clean and tidy. There are 4 toilets in the ladies and 2 showers which can get busy around 9:30 am but that's to be expected at this time of year. My daughter used the showers a couple of times and I used them once set to a lovely temperature. The grounds are very well kept and is very pleasant. The pitches which you are allocated are fab plenty of space even with a big awning so it feels private. Would definitely recommend this site and we will be going back again. Thanks for making our first outing such a pleasure.

Site is located perfectly for Filey and a trip to Scarborough. Nice walk to beach which is 15 minutes. Fairy Garden tea room was very good and cheap. The shower block was poor and a bit smelly probably because it is old. They are cleaned daily but not thoroughly. There is 2 showers that you have to pay 50p for about 5-6 minutes. This would usually be o. K but they have no pressure and it takes all your time to rinse the shampoo. The site was quite and didn't ever have to wait for a shower or toilet. I wouldn't like to go when it gets busier. The pitches are spacious and well maintained. Most get the sun but choose carefully for the evening sun as some are shaded by trees from late afternoon. Currently there is a housing estate been built/finished at the rear of the site where the tents are located which can be noisy from about 8am weekdays. We were far enough away for it no to bother us. There are hand made DO NOT signs everywhere which I personally got tired of looking at. Would have preferred a choice of a grass electric pitch as the gravel underfoot isn't pleasant and is messy. You get what you pay for but I expected the facilities to be better.

Me and my wife stayed at Centenary way for a long weekend in may,
All the facilities were kept clean and tidy, (toilets, washing up area, showers and laundrette.
The showers are only 50p for 6 minutes, which we both thought was ample time.
We will definitely return in the future.
The pitches were ample size for caravans and tents, The only negative thing we can say is the hard standing pitches for tents with electric hook up are not very comfortable and not good for the tent footprint.
We hope the speak to the owners and ask if there is a problem with putting the tent on the grass and the car on the hard standing.

What a great site, spacious pitches, immaculate grass, excellent toilet facilities and a fantastic miniature woodland style walk for the dogs. Filey has great beaches and if you explore it has lots more to offer, but its best if you find the hidden gems yourself. One excellent pub I will mention is The Cobble Bar overlooking the sea on Filey sea front. It has been re furbished and offers cheap drinks and outstanding food at very good prices. We are planning our next visit and hopefully many more.

We stayed on this site over a bank holiday weekend. The site seemed to be at capacity and was very busy. The pitches are very close together and as such we felt very close to our neighbours.
We paid just shy of £20 a night for a non electric pitch. The showers are priced at 50p for 6 minutes.
There is a reasonable laundry area which we did not use.
There is a playground that is looking a little tired.
There only seemed to be one fresh water tap which of course was very busy.
This is a site for those who like rules in their life with some of the more amusing ones being.
'our water is paid for by meter, so don't wash your bikes or dogs with the water provided at this tap' or words to that effect.
'don't use the hand dryers between llpm and 7am' I think this was to cut down on the noise
'don't touch the heater; it's hot'
But my favourite was
'at peak times take your own toilet roll'
The site is well kept and clean and tidy.
The lady that served us on arrival was nice and polite and explained where everything was. I guess the price reflects the facilities offered but for me it was too over crowded to be enjoyable. Perhaps one to stay at when less busy.
Oh and the fairy garden - I have not clue but it made us smile. Worth a visit and again really nice staff.

We have just returned from a weeks break on this campsite. Pitch we had was very spacious and the site quite peaceful yet benefiting from being close to the beach and Filey town. Plenty of areas close by to walk your dog was also a bonus.
Only downside to the campsite was the toilet block. Only 4 toilets and two showers on site which was inadequate especially when the campsite was busy. We had to queue for a shower every morning and 50p for 5-6 minutes was a bit steep especially considering that the showers weren't very powerful and the water trickled out (not very good for getting the shampoo out of your hair). Also it would have been good if the owners had checked and cleaned the toilet block a bit more often especially during busy times.
Generally OK site but wouldn't like to have stayed any longer than a week.

Went to centenary way for Easter for a week. Had a lovely break and the weather was kind. The owners were really helpful and as the ground was quite soft following a rainy spell offered to help us site with the grass cutter which we declined as we had motor movers fitted.
The pitch had hard standing for the awning which was good as we didn't walk grass and mud into the van.
The site is well situated for walking to the beach or driving to various resorts nearby.
The toilet block was clean and the facilities adequate. Didn't have to queue at all although it was quite busy being a bank holiday.

Just returned from another great easter weekend at this lovely site. This is our second visit and will certainly not be our last. It is well maintained and kept very clean. It is in a great position, very quiet and only a ten minute walk into town. There is very little noise on site even though there was children and groups of happy campers.

Martin and Louise give a warm welcome, we have been visiting there site for many years, the site is very well kept, the pitches are spacious hard standing which makes it a lot cleaner especially when we have a lot of wet weather, the grass is always kept short and tiday and flat no gouges, so makes it safer, the site is dog friendly the only thing I would have anything negative to say would be the toilets and showers they arn't enough especiaaly at busy times bank holiday's and school holiday's, I would recommend a visit to this site

The Douglas family (Centenary Way proprietors) would like to thank everybody for their kind reviews and feedback on UK Campsites.
We would like to take this opportunity to respond to one or two concerns which have been recently raised.
The site is inspected annually by the AA and the toilet facilities are deemed adequate for the number of pitches on site, although obviously there is a higher throughput at certain times of year i. E spring bank and the summer holidays. The toilet block is cleaned thoroughly everyday between 1pm and 2pm, however at peak times we also clean them at 7:30 in the morning and Martin can often be found cleaning them at 11:30 at night. A cloth is provided to clean the water around the sinks, a mop and bucket is provided for mopping the floor after showering and toilet rolls are replenished daily. Admittedly the showers are not power showers unlike an electric shower at home and the temperature is set to 38 degrees which is the recommended setting for centrally controlled public showers.
The play area is in a separate area to the main camping field and there is a sign saying that all children should be supervised by an adult at all times whilst using the equipment. The tractors and grass cutters are parked on a car park which is fenced off from the play area and should pose no threat to well behaved children or children who are supervised.
The Fairy Garden Cafe is open daily throughout the summer holidays from 9am - 4pm, weather permitting but closes on Mondays other than peak times.
We all work extremely hard to provide you with a well maintained and clean place to stay. If you do have any queries or complaints whilst staying on the site we are more than happy for you to come and discuss your concerns with us whilst you are here.
We look forward to welcoming old and new customers to Centenary Way in the future.
Thank You
