We have stayed at this site before and not a lot has changed in 3 years. The reviews on the toilets are spot on a little small for this big site and yes the showers are only any good if you get up early (after 8 they were just about luke warm). The problem I found this time was if you go none electric you are on the back field which is a lovely flat field, only problem is the houses being built behind. Through the hedge you have a great view of a building site that gets to life at 7. 45 every morning! I don't know how this will effect the site as I don't want to be camping right next to someone's back garden. Yes this has location on its side and is a great base just feel sorry for the owners on how the building side will affect the site.

Site is well kept and ideally located - just a 10 mins walk into Filey town centre. Plenty of space to pitch. We were on a hardstanding, but there are other fields, one right next to a nice looking children's play area. My only gripe would be about the toilet / shower facilities. They feel a bit small for a site of this size and tended to get a bit unkempt in the evening. However, that being said, we will most likely return and use it as a base for the East Coast.

Stayed here for 2 nights. We arrived Saturday and enjoyed the site as we were pitched by the family area right next to the park, where our 3 year old enjoyed playing every day and night.
On site the facilities were adequate. Showers cost 50p. Washing up facilities were good and the tourist information in the laundry room had leaflets (even takeaway menus). There was a freezer for food and your freezer blocks.
On site they had a lovely cafe in a pretty well maintained fairy garden. Reasonably priced cuppa and breakfast baps. Prices can be obtained in the washing up area.
Lovely base for touring east coast

Lovely site pitches well spaced and the site is very well kept. We were on hard standing but there is also a field for tents. Lovely play area with swings, slide, roundabout and climbing frame, you can also play ball games etc. The site managers were very helpful nothing was too much trouble for them. The Fairy Garden outside cafe is also a great idea selling lovely cakes and breakfast rolls as well as ice cream and hot and cold drinks. The site is ideal located for walking into Filey (approx 10 mins), the beach (approx 5 mins) and also the boating park (approx 5 mins). There are only two showers in both the men's and ladies that are 50p each which was enough time to shower and wash hair of both myself and my daughter although the shower is not very powerful and more like a trickle. I feel that more showers are needed for the size of the site and also more plus sockets to be able to plug hair dryer's in. There are only two plugs and these are situated near a sink that has a curtain across for people to get washed in private. I spent more time waiting for a plug to dry my hair than I did waiting for the showers. Electric hook up is available but even though I booked early there none available. Overall a brilliant site and I will be booking a return trip for next year.

Just back from our 2nd visit to this site. What a great long weekend, weather was ace. The site is located on the edge of Filey, 10 min walk into the town, 5 min walk onto the beach, (Clarkson) the dog loves this place. The site is very well kept, clean & tidy. Pitches well spaced. Owners are very pleasant and the new Fairy Garden Cafe is a must, all home made cakes and a great breakfast bap in the morning.
One of our favourite seaside sites.

Lovely well kept site.
Had 3 great nights in our touring caravan.
Touring spots are well spaced out have nice well kept areas of grass in between them. The shower/toilet block is small with
With a couple of showers in Men's and Women's and would benefit from modernisation, but they are very clean.
Their is a small food van which sells great quality hot and cold food, at very reasonable prices. The site is very quiet and ideal for couples.
Nothing bad to say about this site.

Two adults and a Border Terrier called Harry have just enjoyed five lovely days (Easter) at this great site. It has to be one of our favourites. Still the same high standards, clean facilities, lovely wardens, rule abiding neighbours, nice weather, what more could you want? A new addition is the Fairy Tea Garden which was a pleasure to sit in; treat ourselves to a gorgeous cream scone with hot chocolate to follow. Delicious. We shall return.

Just returned from our holiday here with our 2 grandsons and we all really enjoyed it.
Toilets and showers were spotless and the play area was loved by the boys. Plenty of space for out tourer and awning.
Dog walk was spot on although some people didn't pick up after there dogs.
Short walk onto beach and into town. Would recommend to anyone.

What a lovely gem of a site been several times before, always clean lovely showers and toilets. But unfortunately this time wasn't very good we had people in next tent who decided to have drinking games, and make a lot of noise didn't obey to the keep quiet after 11 rule.

This is a lovely, friendly, quiet site in a really good location. There seemed to be two tent fields and a touring caravan area, pitches were fairly flat, and the spacing was good.
The site is an easy walk in to Filey centre, which has plenty of shops including an excellent deli on Belle Vue Street which has some of the nicest pork pies and sausage rolls I've had and a fab selection of breads and sandwiches for beach picnics) and the walk to the beach or Glen Valley Gardens took around 10 minutes - we didn't need to use our car all week.
The site has a small shop (we bought milk and eggs there and the prices weren't too badly marked up - 6 Tesco eggs and a pint of milk came to £1. 60, I think). The children's play area was adequate to keep our 5 year old entertained - swings, slide, climbing frame. There's also a van selling bacon/sausage butties in the morning and pizzas etc in the evening - we didn't try it but it definitely smelt good!
The only thing that I felt spoiled this site is the fact that the toilet and shower facilities were only cleaned once a day at lunchtime. We were lucky with the weather the week we were there, so there wasn't too much mud carried in, but the toilets had regularly run out of paper by evening, and certainly they no longer felt particularly clean by morning.
The owners really could do better on this - it feels as though they are taking their clientèle for granted. There are only two showers in the ladies, I assume two in the gents - really not enough when the site is full. In the ladies, the left hand shower runs tepid, the right hand shower was hot enough to make my daughter cry - there's no way to turn the temperature down. You need 50p to make them work - plenty of time to shower 1 person, not enough if you have a child and toddler with you.
Would we go back? Yes, for the location and the feel of the site and because we have a caravan so are less dependent on the site facilities. I do feel peeved that the owners simply can't be bothered to clean the toilets/showers more often though :-(
