This is a nice, tidy campsite with a good mix of tents, caravans and motorhomes. At just 10 mins walk from the beach and Filey town centre, it is perfectly located for a beach camping holiday. The site's pitches are well maintained and spaced out, the hardstanding looks to have been recently laid, and the grass throughout is immaculate.
The toilet / shower block is clean however I fail to see now why sites still have coin-operated showers - please just include it within the price! - as it was for us, no change + no means of getting any at the time = van showers all round. Not that that was a problem, it just seems a pretty antiquated practice these days. Also as others have noted, the soap wasn't always full in the loos, one loo had run out of paper (unacceptable and clearly down to lack of attention to detail), and finally there's no electric hand dryers or paper towels, simply just a pretty awful looking towel on a loop. Not impressive.
All that said, though, this is a nice site and there's a good, well spaced out kids playground and games field, and a dog walk area. The welcome onto the site wasn't up there with the best we've ever had, but all-in we had a great visit and would recommend the site.

A very nice site and one we will consider as a quick-get-away to meet family/friends for the weekend. Toilets were immaculately clean with music, showers 50p a go, didn't notice playground, pitches and grounds maintained to high standard and all numbered. This was weekend prior to Easter and so was quiet.
At sites entrance you can walk down to Filey Beach and in to Filey. Really nice beach and of course the Filey Brigg.
Reception was small and didn't take much notice of the provisions. Service was friendly & pleasant, but no intro to location of bins, water, waste, toilets or shown to pitch, pretty much money taken, number given and off you go.

We have been here before and enjoyed ourselves. This time was no exception.
They have changed the pitches to hardstandings with gravel which drained the rain away lovely. The pitch sizes are just as big as they were last time and there is plenty of room between you and your neighbour.
The toilets are clean, and weren't too muddy considering it rained nearly all weekend.
The toilets had been freshly painted and the showers had been retiled since last time we went. It would have been nice to have some soap in the soap dispenser but not a major thing. Didnt use the showers as we weren't there long but again, they were clean.
There is plenty of hot water with bowls and drainers to wash up in and its undercover so you don't get wet when it rains.
We love this site, its clean, peaceful, well kept, the owners are friendly and we can't wait to go back later in the year. Our daughter would rather go here than to a site with loads to do on it.

Excellent site, clean, quiet, well spaced out with plenty of room. Ideal for a weekend break, have used it a few times. Filey is an ideal holiday destination. Not too commercialised with a lovely beach, crazy golf and the wonderful Brigg [a long rocky outcrop into the sea, be careful to watch the high tide times!] Back to the site, lovely clean toilets, friendly owners and only 10minutes into Filey. Looking forward to our first weekend there this year.

We didn't personally choose to stay here as we were joining friends who had already booked, so we took a chance. And we're so very glad we did -what a lovely site! Very well laid out, with decent-sized pitches, and divided into smaller areas by 'islands' of shrubs and small trees.
Most of the pitches are gravel hardstanding with electric, and at the bottom end of the site is the non-electric camping area, sheltered by trees and looking out over the open fields.
The toilet and amenities block is in the centre of the site so wherever you pitch you don't have too far to walk. The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean, with a nice additional touch of piped music and a plant on the shelf above the wash basins. The covered washing up area has five sinks, all with washing up bowls and dish drainers - this is the first site we have been to where these are provided!
The children's play area is separated from the main body of the site by the dog walk. The play equipment consists of swings, a slide, roundabout and climbing frame, which are all a bit 'dated' and which would benefit from a good coat of paint, but there's enough there to keep the kids happy for a while. At the end of the play area, and adjacent to the camping area, is a large recreation field with plenty of room for ball games. The dog walk, sheltered by trees and hedges, isn't very long but there are three different paths and it's quite a pleasant area. There is also a dog poo bin provided near the entrance.
Just by the entrance to the site is a path which takes you down past the golf club in the direction of the beach and the town. It takes between 10 and 15 minutes to walk to the beach, and a few minutes more to the town centre. The beach is lovely, and along the promenade there's several cafes and ice cream kiosks, gift shops, a paddling pool and crazy golf.
On the far side of the bay is a country park, where you can walk along the top of the headland right to the end. This area is very popular with dog walkers and bird watchers, and the cliffs down below are popular with sea anglers. You do have to be careful if you go down there though as there is no proper path and no really safe way down. And if you do reach the rocks at the bottom you have to watch the tide. Just near the entrance to the country park is a cafe which does light meals and snacks, and serves the nicest milky coffee I've had in a long while!
This was our first visit to the Filey area and Centenary Way, but we liked it so much it won't be our last. There's just one thing which I would like to see on the site though, and that's the provision of some form of lighting at various points. Once the night falls it's really dark, and you definitely need a torch for those night time trips to the toilet block. Apart from that it's a lovely site, and one we hope to return to in the not too distant future.

This is a small family run campsite in a great location. The beach is only 10 minutes walk from the campsite, which the 4 year old could walk, (with the occasional piggyback). This means you can park up your car when you arrive and not use it again till you go home, as the beach and town centre are so close. However the campsite has a very rural feel.
The facilities were kept very clean but the showers were not great and you have to pay 50p. During our stay the showers kept breaking because the coins were getting stuck, this was not ideal. The showers were also small with shower curtains, not great with toddlers. On a hygiene note there was no soap in the showers.
Overall this is a good campsite, with large pitches. The facilities are not the best but they are clean and the location is great. We will be returning next year.

Stayed here for 7 nights at end of August. Weather had been awful for a few weeks before and owners were doing everything they could to enable you to camp (rather than sink!). Our first camping trip as a family (children aged 3 & 6yrs) and we were happy with the site and would return again (the addition of mud to some areas of the playground I'm sure added to the appeal for my children!). Loved the fact that we could walk easily into Filey and did so a number of times including Bank Holiday Monday and so missed out on any traffic problems! Walk is along a bridle path until you reach the Golf Club, then turn left down the road until you reach the slope down to the beach. Was a very muddy walk at the start of our stay (as I said weather had been really poor) but as the week went on it dried up well and I'm sure in good weather it would be a suitable walk with a pushchair. Toilet block nice and clean. There is a 50p charge for the showers and you are asked to mop up any extra water afterwards - I think this is a perfectly reasonable request and helps keep the showers clean, although some other users ignored this request. There is a washing machine and dryer in the laundry area which are £2/£1.50 again they take 50p coins, used both during our stay washer fine but could have done with two goes in the dryer (but ran out of 50ps). There are also a couple of clothes airers by the washing up sinks so remember some pegs! As I said we liked this site and would go back again.

Stayed on this site in June 2008. Excellent site! Toilet block small but always clean with washing up facilities and wherever you are on the camping field you are never more than a few mins walk to toilet block. There are hedges around the outside of the camping field making it quite sheltered. Very quiet site with good field for ball games. There is a path behind the site which leads straight to the large public car park near the golf course in Filey, the beach then being only a short walk through the park opposite. This site is a definite favourite of ours - we look forward to returning next year.

First experience in a touring caravan on this site, LOVED IT!
This site is excellently manicured to a very high standard by a man and his wife who never seemed to stop beavering away.
Always polite and knowledgeable so any queries we had were always answered leaving us thinking 'what nice people'.
We arrived at the start of a very wet two weeks, which made it very difficult to entertain children by way of getting out much but despite this we found a few very good local shops and amenities, the beach is just five minutes walk away and is clean and long.
The facilities, toilet block on this site are always clean secure and have an ever ready supply of hot water for that well needed shower at the end of a wet, miserable muddy day.
I dare say if we can enjoy a holiday for two weeks in the rain, with two young children, who are rather difficult to please, this site must be a 'cut above the rest' when the weather is nice.Just like the owners.

This is a fantastic site, very well kept, toilets spotless and well maintained. Large well marked out pitches and even though it had rained heavily the day before the ground was well drained. The toilet block was in the centre of the site so everyone had easy access no matter where they were pitched. There is a large grassed area for the kids to play on and our kids got a footy match going with some of the others on the site. Very friendly people and the 11pm noise curfew was adhered to by everyone making it ideal for families with small children. Will definitely be going back there for more weekends.
