Just got back from a week here. Only 2 showers (no temp control, so sometimes far too hot for children)for which you had to pay 50p. Not long if you have long hair to wash. Busy this week, so toilet paper kept running out long before toilet blocks cleaned (1-2 pm) Told owners, and was told 'The toilets are re-stocked when they are cleaned. If we put paper in every time it was used up we'd have to increase the pitch prices'. When asked what people were supposed to do, was told 'We presume people will provide their own loo paper'. Otherwise not too bad, a good children's play area, and near to Filey and an excellent local park. One of the camping fields is distinctly corrugated, so claims to be a 'level' site are a bit misleading.

Well What can I say! this was our very 1st time camping and me,hubby and the kids loved it. My children made lots of new friends, its a very quiet place nothing for the kids to nag at :)
I give it an all round thumbs up.
Me and kiddies are looking to come back for a week in August providing there not fully booked.
Just one little thing though is the soap in toilets need refilling more often :(.

It's been 6 or 7 years since we last stayed at Centenary Way and were we pleasantly surprised when we pulled up! It was a lovely site back then but now it's even better as all the vans have hard standing pitches which is a Godsend. Everything was neat and tidy and I mean everything. I noticed some people had complained on here that the water in the showers was either too hot or too cold, to be honest my wife and I never had a problem all the time we were there. The people on the site were very friendly and helpful. The site is just a 10 minute walk from Filey town centre which is very handy. The beach in Filey is very nice. A quiet resort, just what we wanted. If you want it busy then go to Blackpool! The camping field looked beautiful, everything well laid out as was the touring field. Nice park for the kiddies but could do with some smaller rides/play apparatus for the really young kiddies. Will definitely be visiting Centenary Way again. And soon!

2nd time here and we've booked for August now too.
Can't get enough of this site as it's perfect for our family -
Beautiful site with thoughtfully laid out, spacious pitches. Check out the site next door to see how bad it could be.
Clean toilets, good showers.
Location perfect for us, 10 mins to walk to beach, great park or Filey town centre, what more could a young family want?
I agree with the comments about the showers, no temp. Control and they go on far too long for a bloke, plus the single towel is a bit poor after everyone has used it for a day. But, these a minor criticisms that are far outweighed by the advantages listed above.
Plus it's reasonably priced. Our favourite site so far.

Just come back from a lovely weekend at this site,
Kids loved the play park, and the short walk to beach and a huge play park near beach.
Very close to filey, we had a lovely walk into filey with kids and dogs.
Dog friendly and lots of places to go walking.
Site is very well looked after, didn't use the showers but I do believe that you haver to pay for them?

This site is lovely, the caravan pitches are a good size set in blocks of 6 or 7, down small roads off a central road. That said, we were at the top end of the one of the little roads, so easy to get onto pitch. If we had been one of the pitches at the bottom of the little roads we would have needed to reverse down the road to pitch as no room to turn round, but it isn't far. It's a shortish walk into Filey over a rough track that is frequented by many dogs. The site is kept very clean and tidy but the toilets / showers were very busy when the site was full. I can also echo previous reviews about lack of toilet paper / hand soap and the grotty hand towel. Despite these reservations we would return as well situated for all the east coast resorts, my 6 year old loved it for bike riding etc and it was very good value.

The location is ideal for a walk into Filey.
Plenty of shops and found a great pub which was CAMRA recommended and great choice of beers.
£16 per night for a caravan then 50p per shower, only 2 showers to serve a lot of people, no toilet paper in the toilets at 0730 in the morning, never any soap in the dispenser.
Told when we arrived that the toilets closed between 1 and 2 for cleaning, went at 12 one day and was told it was closed early that day so couldn't use toilet or shower.

Our first visit to this site, but know the area very well. We were very impressed by the site overall, the pitches were well laid out, and the site tidy. We were pitched on one of the hardstandings, so if you are staying in a tent, take a protective sheet to go under the ground sheet, as the small stones can easily damage/puncture it.
The children's playground was nice, with basic play equipment, and a good size 'ball game' area.
The toilet facilities were generally clean, with 50p coin operated showers, though no way of controlling the temperature, or turning them off when you've finished showering. The piped music was a nice touch. Two criticisms we did have was that the single soap dispenser ran out on Saturday, and wasn't replaced by the time we left on Sunday, and also there wasn't a hand dryer, only a grotty looking towel on a loop.
The facilities are all central on the site, and easily accessible wherever you are pitched.
Overall we were very impressed by the site, and will be making return visits.

The site is well kept and has hard standing pitches. The shower and toilet block is well managed and clean. It is 50p per shower but you get plenty of hot water. There is a laundry and washing up sinks. I would have liked an electric point so I could iron (too many crumpled shirts!) Filey is about 15 minutes walk away and is a nice place to visit. Highly recommend it!

Stayed for 2 nights following the bank holiday weekend - 2 adults and 18 year old son. We camped in a small area specifically for tents (about 9). It was well set out and beautifully kept. As you are allocated a numbered pitch, there is no difficulty arriving and searching for space to camp. In the larger camping area, some tents were on hardstanding areas and I know people (in previous reviews) have said they drained well, but I would not have liked to pitch a tent on small stones, as it can't be good for groundsheets. So when we go again I would request a grass pitch.
The washing up area was clean and covered. The toilets were also very clean with music piped through!
I used the shower once, and didn't mind paying the 50p, but would have liked to be able to control the temperature and to turn the water off when I had finished showering. A lot of water must be wasted if people are quick to shower as the supply is timed.
The site is very convenient for the beach-even popping back midday to make sandwiches was no effort as it was so close.
Our limited contact with staff was all good, friendly and welcoming. We would certainly go back as it is a relaxing, convenient site, which is well cared for and has a friendly, quietish campers!
