This was our first time camping as a family. The campsite is small and family orientated. The toilet block is very clean, although the showers are a bit temperamental as far as the temperature is concerned. There is a laundry room with a washing machine, dryer and freezer for ice packs. The pitches are a great size. There is a small park and an area where you can play ball games. We never saw our six year old boy - he was away playing with his new friends! The campsite is ideally situated just a short walk from the beach and the town centre. We had a lovely time. We'll certainly be back!

We have just stayed at this site over the May Day weekend which was booked based on the reviews from this website and am glad to say we were not disappointed! A lovely clean little site only 10 mins walk from Filey. We were pleased to see that pitches were marked out as we had booked from the Sat-Mon. There is a separate field for ball games with a small children's playground at the top. The playground is a little past its best but everything still works and our children spent a lot of time there. There is a footpath into Filey (just turn left out of the gate) but watch out for dog mess along this path. The toilets were kept very clean and there is an electric socket in the ladies which would have been useful had I taken a hairdryer! (previous sites we have visited never had one!) Showers are 50p but ran hot for at least 10 mins although they do have a fixed head. NB if using sat nav be careful as ours took us to an adjoining site so make sure you take directions also. We will definitely return to this site as it is one of the best we have visited on this coast.

Just visited this site for the first time and it was a pleasure to stay here. The toilets where very clean and tidy and hand soap dispensers. The owners were very pleasent and helpful.Even the soggy ground and bad weather did not stop it been an enjoyable stay. Will definetley visit again.Could do with better sign post to site though as I went in to the wrong site and had to go back to the roundabout to start again. Just a shame there is not a public house close by.

This was our second outing of the year with the new caravan. We dicided to try this site because we have a small dog and its difficult to find a campsite with somewhere nearby to let the dog run free. The site is a ten minute walk from the beach and Filey between the caravan parks and passed the golf club. The site is well laid out with well looked after grassed areas with hardstandings. A nice clean well kept toilet block with showers that lasted forever for 50p and even piped music. A good information board with everything you needed to know which even included all the local takeaways that delivered to the site. The only down side to staying at this site is there isnt a good pub within walking distance but thats nothing against a great site with good facilities and hard working owners. We will definitely be coming back and for £13.50 a night its brilliant value for money.

First time here at this campsite and agree with all the previous complimentary reviews. The toilets / showers are of a high standard, as is the campsite and now have soap dispensers as well as piped music. Filey and beach both within easy walking distance by turning left at the campsite entrance and following the footpath, although at the time the footpath was closed due to errosion but by walking through the caravan park, over the level crossing the town can still be reached in 20 mins. I walked to Filey Brigg daily to do a spot of bird watching from the cliff and in the country park(about 40 mins.). I was charged £5/night which I considered good value for a high standard campsite like this. The only complaint (not the campsite) being a bit of a walker that likes to leave the car behind was the lack of pubs / eating places nearby, however I did find a good beer guide listed pub annexed to one of the large hotels on the campsite part of the town called Bonhommes bar, serving some good real ales but no evening meals although there were plenty of fish and chip shops in town.

Excellent site, only bad point was the walk to Filey. Yes it's only about 15 minutes, but no mention of the steps, (about 80), down to Filey, and of course back up again. I wasn't right for a couple of days aterwards, then again I didn't know I had a heart complaint !, but will visit again.

We stayed at the end of August beginning of September , we had originally booked for 5 days but enjoyed ourselves so much we extended our holiday two more days, Martin helpfuly moved the bookings around a bit to accomodate us. There was plenty to do and see in the area , and youre just a brief walk from filey , 6 miles from Scarborough, 10 from Bridlington and wWitby is in easy reach too!. A nicely set out site, very clean and picturesque , Martin and his wife were very helpful and pleasant. (busy though!) when the washer broke down he helpfuly finished our wash so we could go out! top feller! Only minor criticism is the lack of a soap dispenser in the toilet! All in all a nice site ran by nice people!

This is a well-run and welcoming site. We camped with our 3 kids and one dog for 4 nights and would go back again. It achieves that rare balance of freedom while encouraging respect for other campers. So, it's quiet at night after 11pm but the kids can run out and enjoy themselves too. It's safe, sheltered and really handy for Filey and the beach - a short walk. The pitches are fine and quite well spaced. The toilets are fine as are the showers and the 50p lasts about 10 minutes! By many sites' standards that's almost leisurely. The "Rec" field is good for the kids and the "Dog walk" is short but handy and is a welcome addition for those with hounds. Filey itself is a fine little town and great for young kids - super beaches and low key sea front entertainments. Ours really enjoyed the boating lake. It's handy too for Bempton Cliffs - excellent walking and birding to be had. All of this made for a really enjoyable and relaxing few days. If you like it clean, simple and low key then this is for you.

Stayed for 4 nights in june , the site is well maintained , grass well cut ,and pitches large. The owner was always at hand if any problems did arise. The site has recycling bins ,so campers are asked to seperate bottle and tins ect. The toilets were always clean and we never had to wait for a shower. This site is a credit to the owners . I would reccomend this site without hesitation, we intend to go back to this lovely area soon. The other campers respected the no noise after 11pm rule until our final day. Three teenage lads arrived , pitched then started started on the beer. By nightfall they were well gone.

We stayed at this site last year and had a very pleasant stay, the toilet blocks were always clean and tidy and the tent pitch was spacious. My two daughters liked the site and were able use the play area,it is also a short walk to the beach and not too far to go to The Muston Scarecrow Festival, We enjoyed it so much We are coming back this year in August.
