My girlfriend & I have been to this site numerous times since we met last March. We keep going back - because we enjoy it so much. We have been to lots of sites with our Tent and Caravan and honestly this is the best ones by miles! We wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending it.
There's plenty of space for each tent/tourer - they give you plenty of room. It's exceptionally clean & the showers/toilets are always clean too, My girlfriend can confirm as she is fussy about this sort of thing (I'm not bothered!) It's child friendly and feels save for Children to play! Martin & Loiuse (the owners) are always helpful and polite. They do a great job.
The site is close to a great town of Filey which has a clean beach and is quiet but not too quiet. There's plenty to do without being too commericial. The site has hook-ups and hardstanding(gravel pitches) It's great and we can't wait to go again next year! Keep up the good work!

We visited and it was fairly quiet, plenty of room for our big tent, clean surroundings and toilet/shower facilities. Laundry with wash and dry facilites (1.50 charge)and a freezer for your blocks.A small park for the children and play field for football etc. Dogs were no problem, several there, had their own dog walk. (a small fenced wooded area)Great walk to the coast, could have done with a better shop for those forgotten bits and pieces. Owners really polite, only saw them when we paid in.!
What else can I say, Clean, plenty of room and cheap (2 adults 2 kids 1 dog large tent with hookup about 11.00 quid) a night

We found this lovely campsite from this website and will most definitely be returning next year, its such a lovely peaceful, tranquil site that you almost forget where you are. For us with 2 young children and a dog the exciting walk down the path to the beach / filey town is great, saves driving round looking for car parking spaces. It was August Bank Holiday week when we arrived so the site was full it was still very quiet though. Basic shop on site which sells any essentials you may have forgotten. Toilets/showers clean and colourful with radio background music playing which made showering/washing quite pleasant. There was a dishwashing area and a laundry room.
The site is level and private and the tourers were separate from the tents, which had a big level field, grass was cut daily and the whole site kept extremely tidy, all sites were hardstanding which is so much easier, we werent expecting this as you normally pay top prices for such a thing. Owners very helpful and polite. Nice dog walking section and big playing field with park for the kids. Overall great value for money and good location not too far away from the town centre but quite a rural feel to it.

Just spent 3 days at this site after the bank holiday thinking it would be fairly quiet. WRONG. Still very busy a lot of tents of all sizes. There appears to be a couple of small fields for tents etc and the road leading through the site has the tourers. Good facilities although only a couple of showeres for each sex so have to plan your time but nothing detramental to the site. Showers cost 50p and they also have coin operated waher and drier. Battery charging available as is freezer block. Good cost for the facilities with £10 high, £8.50 for low and £6 per night plus 4 persons in October. Will use again next season.

A good well kept site in a good position the very good facilities and the toilets are clean but if you shower at night then the lighting is very poor in the showers. Walking to the beach and town is easy and the site is quiet at night. For us one drawback was that the playground is seperated from the tent field by the dog walking area which consists of high trees this stops you from watching the kids from your tent.

I don't really agree with some of the reviews of this site. Overall, it's not bad. The site itself is in a good, flat location and there is good spacing between pitches. However, the toilet/washing facilities need re-furbishing which obviously makes them difficult to keep clean. The showers need 50p pieces to run and seem tempremental, so not great if you are trying to wash a 2 year old! Also, I can see no excuse to supplying crispy (spreads more than it wipes) toilet paper! I understand that there have been problems with campers stealing proper paper, but other sites seem to manage this ok. I suspect it's become an excuse for cost-cutting.

This site is great for anyone who wants a relaxed and peaceful place to camp, away from the brasher side of seaside sites. The camping fields are flat and spacious with fair sized pitches and are surrounded by trees and bushes which play host to many wild birds. The site is on the edge of Filey but is very rural in feel, with views out over the hills of North Yorkshire.
The town and the beach are ten to fifteen minutes pleasant walk away, along a quiet country path. Filey itself has an enormous beach with clean sand and safe bathing and has the restrained atmosphere of an Edwardian resort.
I would gladly recommend this resort and site to anyone loking for all the fun of a British seaside holiday without any of the often concommitent tat and tack.

July 2005 Just as the previous reviews, lovely, clean & pretty site with bizarre toilet paper (reminds me of school). Nice and easy walk into Filey, take lights for walking home in the dark!!. Staff helpful & polite, showed us to our pitch by bicycle power!! Only thing doggies beach the opposite end of Filey but a nice 20 mins walk down & back just made it better. Toilets & showers clean & colourful. Quiet site will definitely go back.

May 2005 This family friendly site is a must. Its well organised to give everyone a little bit of privacy, and theres plenty of room for the kids to run round, as well as a small playground. Toilets and showers are neat and tidy, but we do recommend you take your own toilet paper!! Good facilities for a reasonable price. Ideally situated just a short walk to beach and the centre of Filey. Dogs welcome too. Will definately be returning.

July 2004 My husband and I visited this site to have a peaceful weekend away from the kids to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We got out our 2 man tent and set off. We were the really poor relations, it's a while since we went camping and everyone else had big luxury tents! It rained for the whole weekend but this didn't put us or the other campers off. The site was a bit waterlogged but that was to be expected with the amount of rain we had this summer. It is a really nice camp site, there was plenty of room between numbered pitches and the toilets and showers were kept clean. It is a nice walk into filey, which was a lovely quiet town with a great beach which our children would love. I would have no hesitation in returning again, with a bigger tent and the children in tow.
