Stayed for 2 nights in late June with a friend in a festival tent. Had the small field to ourselves and it was great! It was quiet, toilets were clean. My friend used the chest freezer to refreeze icepacks, along with the pot wash and drinking water facilities. It was miserable weather of rain and cold, but for our first time in a tent with our medium sized dog we enjoyed ourselves. I use a wheelchair and have an adapted Motability van with tail lift. As I had a female carer/friend we used the female toilets by parking my small manual wheelchair at the outside door under the small shelter, opened the door, with support I walked a couple of yards to the cubicle and then back to my wheelchair. The larger cubical I used was around a metre or 3 foot wide and around 2 metre long, with a single horizontally mounted small bar on the inside of the door about a metre from the floor. The toilet was a bit low but I managed. The threshold was level and the doorway around 2 foot wide of a standard door width. We ate in Filey at the Three Tuns pub where we walked to, including finding good public accessible toilets.

We used a single gas stove for simple warm food. I left my motability scooter and manual wheelchair in the van. Even though it was miserable weather, we were warm in the tent and the grassy field was not muddy or waterlogged. The staff were helpful and we were charged low price for non electric pitch of our festival tent.

In my opinion this site doesn't look much but it's cheap, can be cheerful, has perhaps more than basic facilities and is close to various lovely areas such as Scarborough and Filey.

If there is any opportunity to spend money on developments in the future, I would suggest a small room for combined baby change/family use/accessible toilet and shower. This may well be popular so two such rooms may be useful. This is not a criticism, just a suggestion.

Thanks to the staff on the reception and phone line for being part of our enjoyable camping experience!

Just returned from 3 nights at this lovely site. Great location 15 minute walk to Filey and 10 minutes to the beach. Site is lovely and quiet. There was 5 adults and 3 children in our party. Pitches where a good size and plenty of space between them. Fairy garden tea room was lovely. We went to Eden camp, which is well worth a visit.

Nice site. Loved the hard standing for tents but make sure you bring a footprint and driver pegs. Well kept sure. Quiet and a nice 10 min walk to filey and beach. Only complaints and they are really minor was the showers, quite cramped and could be improved 100% by adding some raised bamboo grids at the end of the shower so that you can get dry and dressed without standing on a wet floor and the playground needs a bit of attention

We really loved this site for its location, a country mile to Filey seafront, with all the usual seaside activities, an easily accessible beach, fish & chips, tearooms, amusements, golf a real family resort.

The site is well kept and grass kept immaculately. The pitches themselves were well spaced side to side but some of them are very close ( only 3-4 feet ) back to back, which can mean with differing units pitched back to back they are very close. Some of the pitches are difficult to manoeuvre on and off without spoiling the immaculate grass.

The shower block is small and with no seat in the shower changing area can only be used by those who can undress/dress whilst constantly standing.

This is a quiet well managed site.

This site was exactly what we wanted, good walks and being near to the beach too. A good base for touring the area. The site was clean at all times and very quiet.

One thing that let it down were the showers that were 50p for 6 minuets, but there is not enough pressure so hard to get our hair rinsed.

We will be returning here next year despite this.

Arrived 7:45pm on the Friday, site well sign posted. We were given our pitch number and drove round to find that all the pitches were gravel,

-this made it extremely hard to hammer pegs in, actually took us twice as long as normal to set up.

- very uncomfortable under foot even with a foot print and carpet down. If we hadn't have had a footprint I am certain we would have had a hole in the bottom of the tent.

- Shower block ok but does cost 50p for a shower, this site is cheap at £19 per night for 2 people with electric. But why not just up the price to cover the cost of a couple of showers a day per person.

- Unfortunately the fairy garden cafe was closed for the winter, shame really.

It was dark before we finished and the site lighting wasn't the best.

- lovely walk into Filey which is also the dog walking path so beware!

Sorry to say we won't be returning to this site.

Visited for 9 nights over the bank holiday weekend.

The entrance road is single track but with plenty of passing places should you meet something coming the other way.

The first thing you notice is how well kept the site is, the grass is constantly being cut and the edges are well trimmed. There is a lovely little fairy garden cafe on site with outdoor (and some covered) seating. It sells hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and cakes (closed from start of September until next season).

Touring caravans, all hard standing, are separated from the main tent area, again hard standing. There are smaller grassed areas at the rear of the site.

There is a dog walk and a small play park.

The facilities are okay, cleaned once a day which could do with being increased in bad weather. There are 2 showers in each, working off a 50p coin. The water is hot enough but it is quite cramped and not large enough to have a seat inside to help when getting changed.

The walk to the beach took us about 10 minutes. The beach area in front of Filey is not hound friendly from May to September, either side of it is however. The southern stretch is beautiful, passing Primrose Valley, The Bay, Hunmanby Gap and Reighton. We walked this every single day. The northern stretch, beyond the cobble landing is also hound friendly.

Filey, a 20 minute walk to the centre from the site, is a classic small seaside town with everything you would need. As well as the beach, there are pubs, restaurants, fish & chip shops, ice cream parlours, cafes, tat shops, all of the usual town shops plus a decent size Tesco.

The Cobblers Arms deserves a special mention. The smallest pub in Filey, it has a dozen real ales and real ciders. The owner and staff were really friendly. We wobbled out of here most nights.

Places to visit south include Bridlington, Flamborough, Hornsea and Withernsea. If you are happy to go a little further, Spurn Point is worth a visit (not hound friend as it's a nature reserve). North you have Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, the beautiful Runswick Bay and Staithes. A little further are the North York Moors are well worth a visit.

We enjoyed our stay here, the site is great, the facilities are a little disappointing, however the Cobblers Arms in Filey more than makes up for this. We decided during the trip home to return for another 9 nights at the end of September.

Stayed here for 2 nights camping at end of August. We were on a grass pitch. The site was nice and quiet and really relaxing.

Went to Fairy Garden on the last day and enjoyed a bacon butty and a hot chocolate. Nice touch to the camping experience.

The park was really nice for our daughter to play in.

We would come again for a short stay as it was cheap and cheerful. 2 nights for 2 adults n 1 child was £35.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Centenary Way. Lovely site with a nice family friendly feel. Quiet on a night (except for the neighbouring donkeys but I can live with that). The pitches are large and we were on hardstanding which was very hard to get pegs into. Managed to get most of our awning onto the grass though.

We didn't have any issues with the toilets or showers, we have stayed at sites with far worse facilities. They could do with cleaning more than once a day when the site is full but the shower temperature was fine and there was plenty of room to get dried and dressed. Dont let this stop you using the site.

Oh and we paid for the on site wi-fi which was useless in all 4 of our mobile devices, my advice would be to not bother.

Finally the main reason for visiting is the fabulous location close to Filey, with its lovely gardens and clean beach. Filey has not suffered the same fate as many seaside resorts and is an attractive, well kept town with plenty to do for families. In fact if you get good weather there is no reason to use the car while you are there.

Well done to the owners, its a great site and we will definitely be back.

Stayed here for 2 nights over a weekend. Although we arrived at 1930 there was someone waiting for us in the office. He was very friendly and well organised, checking in took only a few minutes and we were giving useful information on where to go and how to get to the beach and Filey, both of which are accessed via a path running from the site which keeps you off the roads, its well used by campers and a nice little walk taking about 15 minutes at toddler pace!

The site has mostly hard standings with EHU but there are some grass pitches which you can use but I'd advise you request them when you book (As we did). The hard standings look to use a fairly fine gravel so should be ok for a tent. The grass pitches are located at the far end of the site in 2 separate fields, we were in the larger field which is split into a play area with small playground and goal posts set out for ball games. Kids play here just about all day long but we never found any of the noise intrusive, we have a 4 year old who liked to play there so she was happy.

The pitches are a really good size, all look to be flat and are well spaced and clearly marked out with posts set against the hedge running round the outside edge of the field. I'd say the site mostly seems well kept, all very neat and there is a cafe on site which does nice toasties, bacon sandwiches and lovely cakes, is been thoughtfully set out and is themed with fairy's. They have small stools for toddlers to sit in and a box of good fairy books for the little ones. Quiet time is from 11pm, it would be nice if it was 10pm for those of us with younger children.

I'd come back to this site for a short stay but we were not at all happy with the toilet facilities, they get very dirty. They are only cleaned once a day which on a busy weekend is not enough, I find more sites nowadays taking more care of facilities doing a full clean once a day plus a quick clean early and late. Here they only seem to clean them at 1pm and after that the get more stinky and muddy as the day/evening goes on. On 3 occasions my wife found no tissue in the cubical! We both found the showers ran way to hot and our 4 year old daughter really didn't like that hot water. You need 50p for the shower and that runs for about 6 minutes just a shame there is no temperature control. The wash basins have push button taps but the water only runs whilst you push the button making washing your hands rather tiresome. I ended up putting the plug in every time and filling the sink first.

To sum up a lovely site, good pitches, good play area, really good cafe, nice and close to Filey and the beach. Poor toilet facilities which need more cleaning, temp. Control on the showers and push button taps which run for longer. I would rate this site higher but the toilet facilities let it down.
