A lovely clean site, friendly owners, pitches a good size and well spaced out. The owners where in the middle of making gravel pitches, the site does seem to flood very quickly but that could be down to the heavy rain throughout August. A very small shop on site I didn't use it but my daughter did and she reported that there was very few supplies available, the cheeky minx walked to the next campsite and used the one there.A basic play ground which needs a little updating
It takes only about 10-15 minutes to walk along the path into Filey or the beach and it's a very pleasant walk, could do with some signs though on the path as there are a few campsites very close to each other.
A pity there's not a pub close by but a good selection in the town centre the Three Tons pub has arcade games and is about the best one if you have children.
The toilet block was clean and tidy, didn't like the hanging cloth towel though, a paper towel dispenser would be better.
My one gripe though was the showers in the ladies, there's only two and they are pretty much useless, the temperature changes constantly from boiling hot to cold and the water pressure is a joke, to charge 50p is a disgrace, my family of two adults and two children spent over £15 in a week on these showers.
Although a very pleasant holiday it's doubtful I would return to this site unless major upgrades are made to the showers or they stop charging for them.

Stayed here for 3 nights, 4 adults & dog. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The site is lovely, clean and well maintained. The people were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. What made it more enjoyable for us, was the closeness of the site to Filey itself. The car was parked up and never moved until it was time to go home. We shall return to this site as it is now on my favourites list.

This is our second visit to this site but the first this year.
We camped in the back paddock which I requested due to it being all grassed with no gravel.
We really like this site and saw improvements this year to last. Development of the plots was evident as well as it feeling more spacious.
The best thing is it's proximity to Filey and the beach. You can walk to the beach in 10 minutes and since the flooding you no longer have to walk down steps to the beach due to the new small access road which is a real bonus. Scarborough, whitby and Bridlington all in close proxmity to so plenty to see and do during the stay.
The site has all the facilities you require it is fairly basic but they have extra's like free ice pack freezing. The dog walk is fine and the site child and animal friendly.
My only gripe is the showers they cost 50p and it felt like showering and dressing in a coffin. I also found them incredibly hot (you could not adjust the temperature), so much so that on several occassions I couldn't bear it and had to get out. There is no way I would have been able to shower a child during out stay the water was just to dangerously hot!

We stayed for four nights here on a gravel pitch - we were initially dubious but found it better than the usual grass! The site was very busy and the state of the toilets at times reflected this. On more than one occasion there was no toilet paper, toilets were blocked and the floor was filthy. The shower cost 50p for around ten minutes which was plenty of time, however, there was no temperature control and the water became unbearably hot - be warned!
The park on site is great for kids, as is the recreation field for ball games (a rule which not everyone observed). There is a small shop in reception which is not too over priced. The walk down to Filey is pleasant.
The owners were friendly and helpful and despite the problems with the facilities, we would return.

It's a medium sized site divided into two distinct halves, the first field being for caravans and the second for tents. Around the periphery of the camping field the tents had hard standing, some with electric hook up, and the centre of the field also occupied by tents. The field was level and appeared to drain well.
The owners had obviously made some effort to provide good facilities, and the spacing of the pitches was reasonable - a minimum of around 8 - 10 feet between tents, sometimes more. There was a great play area for the children. The site was reasonably quiet - at least, no particularly rowdy types when we stayed, and the 'no noise' after 11 rule was followed.
The toilet / shower block was pretty good, but unfortunately was only cleaned once per day, which in our opinion was not sufficient. It went from excellent following cleaning at 2 pm to absolutely dreadful by 10am the following day - unfortunately the floor was muddy, and the toilets smelt a lot. There were a lot of signs urging us to clean up but the only implement provided was a filthy bucket of muddy water, hardly likely to do the job in a satisfactory manner. The showers ran hot and cold, with no means to regulate or change the temperature - so it was difficult to shower the children without risk of burning them. The shower heads were fixed, so hair, sand and other dirt could not be easily rinsed from the walls of the showers. It's a real shame because if they were cleaned twice a day during busy periods it'd make all the difference.
It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach, and around 15 minutes into the middle of Filey itself.
All in all, a good site spoilt by the state of the toilets.

A really nice little site. Toilet/shower block very clean - looks new. Pitches are a good size and clearly marked out. Friendly owners. We will definitely go back this summer. Not far from Filey town and a short walk to beach.

A lovely picturesque site. Plenty of room for pitches. The toilets and shower block could do with an update though (quite smelly when I visited them later on in the day). Very limited space in the showers, and also the temperature could fluctuate between very hot and luke warm. Not a good combination with children. I feel that those 2 problems should be addressed and fairly quickly before it becomes a matter for health and safety officials to intervene.

We visited the site over the spring bank holiday staying in our 8 berth Outwell Norfolk Lake tent. We pitched on one of the electric hardstanding pitches which we found to be more than adequate for our tent and car. The site is wonderful, peaceful and safe for the kids (who enjoyed playing football in the play area). The site facilities are fantastic and very clean. Site is so close to filey great for days out without the car. All in all a superb site A+!

Just returned from a really lovely 2 night stay at this site - despite the heavy rain most of the weekend. It is a quaint and pretty little site and great for the kids as it was so safe.
The shower block was very clean and good supply of hot water (costs 50p). Best of all was the 10 minute walk to the beach and filey. Had it been a good weekend we would not have had to use the car at all. However there is plenty to do within a short distance if the weather is bad.
None of the pitches appeared to get flooded whereas at The Blue Dolphin site nearby there were large pools of water in and around the camping areas as the rain was so heavy.
The play area is a bit old but the kids didnt mind and they could also safely ride their bikes around. Most of the pitches were huge but ours was smaller for some reason but it was a hard standing pitch with electric and we could have parked the car elsewhere if we hadnt had enough space.
The site is also good value (£15.50 per night for 2 adults/3 children with electric). We were well impressed and will be returning asap.

My husband and children have just come back from this site after spending the weekend there. They keep going on about how great a site it was, and making me very jealous, (some of us have to work you know!).Lovely spacious pitches, clean toilet and shower facilities, (plenty of hot water). Lovely play area for kids to enjoy themselves, and only short walk to beach.Im hoping they will take me with them next time!
