The initial booking was a bit of a pain as the site has no credit or debit card facility. We has to send a deposit of £40 by postal order which cost an extra £5.
The site itself is lovely with spacious pitches and good access to Filey on foot with a 10 minute walk across foot paths. Power is only 10 amps so selective use of power hungry appliances is needed.
The toilet block is a little old fashioned with too few showers for the size of site, also they are coin operated at 50p for 6 minutes. There is a note saying that campers may need to bring their own loo roll during busy times. The showers were also quite tepid which was disappointing. Our pitch was in shade in the evening with large trees casting shadows and covering the caravan, awning and car in bird droppings. There is a children's play area which our kids said was boring and only used once. In that time one of our children cut their finger on a rusted bit of paint on the roundabout.
There is a cafe on site serving a good range of snacks at reasonable prices which is handy if thought of cooking a breakfast is unappealing.
Dogs are well catered for with no limit on the number allowed and good dog walks nearby. The main beach has a no dog policy from May to September but certain areas of the beach are dog friendly.
I felt the site was a little over priced for the quality of facilities, however the size of pitch goes some way to compensate for this.
I would use the site again mainly for the location and ease of getting into Filey without having to use the car.

Just had our first visit to Filey. Stayed for 6 nights and will definitely return to this site. The site is very clean and the owners and helpful and friendly. The site has shower block which require 50p per shower. The showers aren't very powerful but are hot and stay on for long enough. There is a washing up area, laundry room with washer and dryer and free freezer for ice packs. There is also an area to hang out washing next to the toilet block / washing up area.
There is a separate playground and field for ball games which our 2 young children loved. When we arrived the site was quiet and even though it got very busy at Easter weekend the quiet down by 11pm rule meant no disturbance for our two young children.
We didn't go to the fairy garden but it looked lovely with reasonable prices for snacks and drinks
The walk to the beach takes about 5-10 minutes where there is also Glen gardens which has park, boating lake, mini golf etc. A further 5 minute walk takes you to the town where you will find shops/pub/places to eat. All in all we have had a fantastic holiday and we can't wait to return later on in the year!

This site is our quick get away site as it's only 50 mins from home. We've stayed about 5 times at various times of year. It's a small quiet site and is excellent for going to the beach, Filey town is about 10mins walk away and the beach is the same. On site is well kept and the pitches are spacious, however you can only pitch on the hard gravel standing which is fine for caravans, TT, FC but as our tent has a SIG I would have preferred to pitch on the grass and put the car on the hard standing. The toilet/shower block is basic and could do with an upgrade but is usually clean and water was always hot. The wash up area is good again hot water and kept clean but even though it's covered it could do with a door on it as it can be a bit of a wind tunnel.
Prices are reasonable and booking is best done in person if poss as they have no card facilities. Overall a good little site with great location and with a little money spent on the shower block could be a fantastic site.

Just returned from 10 days over Easter holidays from centennial caravan park site itself lovely near to Filey within a 15min walk of the town. Quiet site but with tired facilities playground needs attention and toilet facilities very poor showers are 50p not hot and certain coins don't work a pain when you have undressed and have to get dressed again to fetch another coin. Found the owners difficult to get hold of and rather taciturn and although a dog owner myself I was rather annoyed that a fellow camper thought it ok to let their spaniel visit other caravans and awnings to 'say hello' when there are many signs telling you to keep your dog on a lead. TROUBLE with the electrics for two days whilst we were there also. Having a year out from the CC club but now I realise what I have been paying for.

Stayed for 4 nights arriving on the Bank Holiday Monday, in a tent. Site was tidy and well looked after. It is separated into different sections which seemed to cut down on noise- hardstanding for caravans in 2 walled fields offering shelter and privacy, a largish field with numbered tent pitches (these are all weather and really need a thick ground sheet as the stones are pointy) a small and very sheltered tent field and a field which has kids play equipment, ball play area and dog walk as well as room for tents. Lots of children when we were there but hardly any noise and settled down by 9. 30pm. Many well established hedges and trees give shelter.
Toilet block is adequate, showers require 50p and are hot but not really powerful however they are certainly long enough. There is a washing machine, a dryer and a free freezer. There is also a place to hang washing out near the potwash (hot hot water and lots of bowls/ plate racks)
We had great weather but I think the site would withstand rain.
Lovely car free walk down to Filey, past donkeys, over trainline and through a golfcourse! Or back through housing estate and static van site. Filey is a gem! All in all a very pleasant site.

Great, can't praise this place enough. Definitely worth a visit. Staff very helpful, site well run and very clean. Walking distance to Filey clear pathway through neighbouring sites. Definitely in price bracket for all to enjoy. Provided with maps of we're everything is situated. Brilliant play area for children. You name it, it was there or available. And if not, they would do there best find out we're you could get things. May I say it makes a big difference to your holiday when you are happy with the site and how it is run. They also have a sister site Jacobs mount, that is immaculate too.

Lovely campsite, very friendly, helpful, clean, quiet, family friendly, children loved the park. Great walk into Filey. Been here for the past 2 years and am booking for next year, showers ok 50p is great for the amount of time you get, me and my daughter have long hair and we had plenty of time to wash it and for my son to play as we dried off. Although updating in the near future wouldn't go a miss. Can't wait to return. Thank you for another great holiday.

Lovely site I have been coming here for 4 years.
The owners are very helpful and friendly and nothing's too much trouble, how many sites would the owner pitch a newbies caravan for them and lend them a hook up lead !
The site is our home away from home.
My daughter camps here too and also gives it a big thumbs up!
Dog friendly children friendly and peaceful !
Oh nearly forgot the fairy garden yummy home baked cakes and snacks !

We have just returned from this lovely campsite, its a clean, well kept site with friendly owners. We found the site on this web page and read all the reviews before booking and i`m so glad we went. Our pitch was hard standing with electric hook up, the pitches are well spaced and secluded, we were near to the toilet block with adjoining launderette and pot wash. The toilets are cleaned regularly but the floors to get dirty towards the end of the day, one tip though, I would always take a loo roll with you just in case. There are only 2 showers but if you go early enough you don't have to wait long, I was in there at 7. 30 every morning and was in there alone, its not the most powerful shower but its hot and its on for plenty of time for your 50p charge. The fairy cafe is lovely, nice staff and lovely well priced food, including a lovely scone, butter, jam, cream and a cuppa for £2. 50. Its a 10 minute walk to the seafront, along a path and down a lot of steps, then another 15 minutes along the gorgeous seafront to Filey town which is a climb up hill. There are plenty of sign posts showing all the walkways up and down into town and plenty of benches along the way. We took our two dogs and its the perfect walk for them, there and back twice a day. There is a gorgeous chippy in town, just look for the queues with a inside bit next to it. If you want to go to a pub then those in town are the ones you have to go to within walking distance but if someones driving then there are plenty to visit. A really good place to visit is Flamborough Head, stunning views and lovely cafe to have a reasonably priced lunch. Cant wait to return for longer next year xxxx

Firstly the positives:
The location is very very good, it is, as described, a 10/15 minute walk onto a lovely sandy stretch of dog friendly beach or into Filey itself, where there are lots of shops and cafes. There is also a really good Chinese take-away in Filey which will deliver to the camp site.
There is a large free freezer for ice packs only (contrary to an earlier review there was a notice stating that any food would be removed) and ample washing up sinks under cover next to the toilet block
There is a children's playground and an outdoor cafe which is very reasonably priced and has a fairy theme which youngsters will love.
The pitches were level(although the majority were on hard-standing)and the smaller grassed field where we were pitched was well sheltered in the event of high winds.
However, there are negatives:
Tumble Dryer cost 3x50p for 30 minutes, which is fine but when you just have a couple of damp towels to dry off after showering it would be nice if you could have the flexibility to get ten minutes for 50p.
Pricing - The website states that prices start from £12. 50 per pitch per night but give no more details than that. The £20 per pitch per night without electric hook-up seems reasonable if you are a couple with two or three children but if, like us, you are just travelling as a couple then it is expensive. We have stayed on coastal sites this summer (high season) with much larger, cleaner free facilities, including hot water all day and 16 amp electric hook-up and have never paid more than £17 per night for ourselves and the dogs.
I didn't feel that toilet and shower facilities were anywhere near adequate for the number of people on site. There are only two very narrow showers in the ladies (50p charge) with very little room to dry yourself afterwards (I am only a size 12). There was no way to control the temperature of the showers and my first shower was far too hot, the subsequent two were hardly warm! There was a notice in the toilets stating that toilet paper would be replenished during the daily cleaning at 2pm and that in peak periods it may be necessary to bring your own - for £20 per night that is just not acceptable, the camp site was full (70+pitches) the owners were raking it in and should therefore put in the work to maintain the necessary services. The toilet roll often ran out by 10am!
Whilst the small grass camping field was secluded and quiet over the bank holiday weekend of our stay, I doubt that is the case during the working week when the building site is busy. The presence of houses or business units next to this site will, for us, completely ruin the feel of the site and would significantly reduce our rating of 8/10 for location.
My last and perhaps most telling negative was the attitude of the owners, they could barely raise a 'hello' when greeted. Amongst the many notices they posted around the facilities block there was one stuck to the entrances to the toilets regarding the recycling of glass which was frankly offensive, overtly sarcastic, patronising and completely out of order! They seem to have had a bad experience with a few of their customers not recycling and decided to tar the rest of us(responsible and considerate campers) with the same brush.
