August 2004 Agree with other reviews that it's a small site in a good location with a lovely walk to the beach but couldn't disagree more about friendly, clean and quiet. A smile from Martin seemed too much to ask, maybe because he was always on the go? The toilet/shower block was smelly with a musty, damp towel to dry hands on and had only 2 temperamental showers and a rowdy crowd of campers kept us awake until way past midnight although the rules state no noise after 11.

July 2004 Found this site on the net, read the reviews and guess what? It was exactly as it said - clean, quiet, friendly and with Izal toilet paper!!!! The owners were very helpful and even provided an old car wheel on which to put our disposable bbq! We'll definately be going again - hopefully this year.

October 2003 Good location - five minutes to the beach along the cliffs - but the facilities could be better- loos and showers clean, but a bit dated, and chilly in October! Shop not selling a great amount of stuff, but handy for the basics. The location is what makes this site special, and is what will make us go back again.

June 2003 This place is really great and no doubt going again! It is quiet and peaceful, and spacious. Your able to take dogs, and you can either camp in a tent or caravan. It has a shower, however, 8 minutes is the limit for the shower. There are toilets and sinks and a washing up part. It has some great walks and isn't very far away from the town. It also has a park. Great place.

April 2004 Went to this site encouraged by previous reviews and found it just as stated. Small, quiet site with friendly, local owner/managers Martin & Louise. Many thanks to previous reviewers for encouragement.
Martin & Louise want everyone to know that they used to supply soft loo roll until the "usage" began to go through the roof -- basically the stuff was being nicked! So they were forced to move to the shiny stuff (a) because it's cheaper and (b) because people don't nick it.

Easter 2004 Just spent another fantastic week at this super site. Martin and Louise cannot do enough to make you welcome. With all the rain we have had these past couple of months, the grass was soft and so to avoid spoiling it, Martin was siteing all the vans over boards, a bit laborious but it will keep the site nice for the rest of the time. I mentioned the comments about the Izal, and was told that when they had soft toilet rolls, 28 went in one day. The funny thing was that none of the inner cardboard tubes were left. So they started on the Izal, funny thing is that no one pinches them. Good food can be found at INGHAMS in Filey, fantastic fish and chip restaurant, and the NORTH STAR at Flamborough, but be sure to book.

August 2003 Nice quiet and friendly campsite. Very short walk to Filey with fab beach and interesting town. Good pubs, takeaways & restaurants within walking distance (and the local Chinese will deliver to the campsite). Check out the old (haunted) museum. Nice long walks along and around Filey Brigg. Scarborough about 1/2 an hour drive away if you are into slot machines and neon lights. Whitby and Bridlington also close by. Have been many times from April to October. Always pleanty to do and very relaxing.

may 2003 We found this site by chance on the net and we were a little aprehensive, so before our holiday we went to have a look at the site and to our suprise we found that it was a pleasant site. Anyway we arrived for our holiday and got our frame tent set up, then as we sat and enjoyed our first beer of the holiday we noticed a couple having a little difficulty with their tent so we went to assist them. Job done we returned for our second beer, the site was filling up quickly and the atmosphere was great, the children found new friends and so did my wife and I. The site is small but very nice, cleanliness is second to none and the owners were very friendly and helpful and never seem to stop all day. They show you to your plot and then leave you to it. The only down side to the site is of course the izal toilet paper, so do not forget to take your own. my family and i will definately be returning as soon as we have a chance.

April 2003 Found this site by accident, which was lucky for us. The site is clean and well maintained, with friendly and helpful staff. The shop has the basics, if your wanting to stock up on groceries you are only a 15 minute walk away from town.
Our visit was part of a fishing trip, Filey Brigg is only an half hour walk along one of our best beaches.
I was especially pleased with the site because of its welcoming of our group, 4 blokes out to do some fishing! We have been turned away from so many sites just because of the group. Here we were treated with respect and the respect was duly returned.
Great site, can't wait to go back!
