The campsite is very well run and maintained, the staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the 10. 30 noise curfew is very well respected and the pitch size was good, although we thought £10 and night for an gazebo is a little greedy and also having previously camped at Ashurst where the kids can just go into the forest and play they got a bit bored here,
The pub at the front of the camp Redshoots is ok, the food is hit and miss, we went for an evening meal and the service was poor ie mucking up orders food coming out at different times, we went back on Sunday and it was lovely so you pay your money take your chance!
Over all it was a nice site and we will return!

This was our second visit here this year. Well laid out site, clean facilities with no sign of queues on both visits. There is a small on-site shop with essentials and food supplies. Redshoots Inn is a major plus point, adjacent to the site and dog and child friendly. Walking is great directly from the site with, of course, the pub to return to. There is another pub just a walk away and we enjoy the walk over to the Royal Oak at Fritham. All you need for a great outdoors experience. We cant wait for Redshoots to open for the 2012 season.

Spent 2 nights at Red Shoot with my wife who had never camped before in her life. We thoroughly loved it.
The staff were friendly in particular Nick and Jordan who help us lots.
The showers/toilets were clean and warm, must be the underfloor heating and the washing facilities were good. The pub was great has the owners brew there own beer and the food mmmmm yummy.
I will certainly visit again as there is so much to do around the area. Loved the new forest ponies wandering around not to mention the pigs .
I would recommend this site to everyone it's location, facilities, staff and not to mention the pub.

First time camping ever and we chose Red Shoot - could we have booked better - never in a million years.
Camp excellent. Staff a joy. And for a man who has never been outside a 4 star hotel before, I even enjoyed the showers and facilities. I thought camping was roughing it - not at red shoot it isn't.
Had our two kids 4 and 8 who we never let out of our sight at home and we never saw them. Camping is clearly something we should have done years ago. The loved it more than we did.
And the pub - one of the finest pubs in England. Great beer. Great food. Kids really welcome not just tolerated. Staff possibly the best in a pub I have been in. I think people in the new Forrest live in a perfect bubble and it shows in red shoot. I'd go again just for the pub alone.
We are booking for our second ever camping trip in march in red shoot and can't wait - just a fantastic place.

The fact this was our second stay this summer really says it all !
We returned to the Red Shoot Campsite and stayed for 3 nights on the first weekend in September and were lucky with the weather. We had a superb pitch,
The facilities were again clean and excellent,
the staff very helpful, the site was very children friendly and the owners were very flexible with departure time, due to heavy rain overnight allowing our tent to dry out before leaving.
We will be back again in 2012 and would recommend this site to anybody.

Super campsite - clean toilet block with washing up sinks and a basic shop. The highlight was the pub adjoining the campsite where we had lovely food every night, and they even have their own microbrewery beers.
It was easy to walk or cycle out from the campsite without needing to take a car. There are plenty of pubs, a nature reserve and Ringwood town all in cycling range.
You might need a long hook up cable. The pitches are marked but not very clearly - it was a little tricky to work out where to pitch.

Just back from a few days at Red Shoot. Great location for walking and cycling and a very dog friendly pub next door. It is also in walking distance of two other pubs which we walked to on separate days for lunch.
There is a small shop on site and the facilities are clean and plenty with underfloor heating which was welcome in the cooler mornings and evenings. Mid week was very relaxed and quiet. The weekend obviously attracts more campers and the facilities did not seem to be stretched in September but I dare say the summer months are very busy and the majority of pitches are tents.
The pitches are all grass and some of them were very wet and the grass churned up following heavy rain.
I guess the downside is that the EHU pitches are limited and so are very close together and I also thought it was quite expensive.
Overall though, the location is lovely and it is quite a nice site.

We enjoyed 4 nights at Redshoot and I honestly could not fault the campsite. We were shown to our pitch on arrival which save the normal problem of driving around to find our allocated pitch. Staff also advised on the best way to position our tent.
Childrens play area is clean and close to the toilets! Nice sized site so not a long trek to the facilities. Facilities were spotless and we missed the underfloor heating when we returned home!
Pitches are well looked after and drain very well after a downpour.
The Redshoot Pub serves amazing food and all the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.

What a lovely welcome we had on our arrival, the staff could not have been more helpful,
The toilet block was lovely and clean and showers were free, although on one visit a cubical was a mess, but this is down to campers and not the owners,
The only criticism I have is the disposal point for the grey waste, it needs to be a bit lower.
The location is just perfect, with the pub next door serving lovely local food and their own ales.
Our two Yorkie's, Dave & Trigger loved the walks into the forest.
I only noticed a play area's for children, near the shop and away from the tents and caravans, which is why we chose this site.
My family all live in the Bournemouth & Ringwood area so was just perfect for a get together one evening.
This site is not a cheap place to stay but we felt it was worth the extra costs and will definitely return,
I just wish it was open all year round.

We had a great week here despite the changeable weather.
We camped with three small children, the campsite were friendly and helpful.
The showers and toilet blocks were clean and hot, there is a nice play area for the children and it is also safe for them to cycle / scoot around the campsite.
Although it was very busy it did not feel crowded.
There is a nice pub next door, which was very child friendly and served good, reasonably priced food.
It is an ideal location within the New Forest, the children loved walking out of the campsite and exploring the woods and pony / donkey spotting.
Its also nicely placed for visiting the beaches at Bournemouth.
