What an absolutely fantastic site, we were there for 4 nights, enjoyed every minute.
There was plenty for the grandchildren to do with feeding the animals, tractor sleigh rides
The park, and all the other children to play with.
The night was for the adults, after 10pm it was brilliant, we enjoyed sitting around the barbecue having a drink in the peace and quiet.
Although the camp was very busy, there were hardly any queues for the showers which were kept clean, and the toilets always had toilet paper.
Well worth the site fees.
We will definitely be going back to this site
As we found everything we wanted, and the owners
Were so friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble

Just arrived back from a fabulous few days at Fron Farm, with our 8yr, 4yr and 6month old ! They loved the animals, the park, the tractor ride, the horse riding for £2 !
Lots of space for them to play, lots of space between tents. Lower toilet block was just ok, new toilet block in next field was much better and cleaner.
This campsite is ideal if you want to get away from it all, spend some quality time playing with the kids, we also went for a lovely walk given to us by reception. £16 for 5 of us bargain. Little shop on site bit pricey as you expect but had most things you might want including gas bottles. Tesco and others about 10 minute drive away. I believe there is a market on a Saturday and carboot on a Sunday in Mold but we didn't go to any of these. We just stayed on site for the whole stay, would highly recommend this place and will definitely return as its only 50 mins away from us.

Spent the weekend at Fron Farm (our first camping trip). Really lovely site and staff. Paid £28 for 2 adults, 2 nights with electric. Only 10 minute drive into Mold town centre, with plenty of shops and 3 supermarkets.
Only gripe was that the toilet and shower block was only cleaned on the Friday night and not cleaned at all Saturday and left without toilet roll. Apart from that we had a good time and will probably return in the future.

Excellent site, visited 3 times now, have enjoyed it each time, and can't wait to return. Plenty for the children to do. Ceri, Dylan, and all the staff are very friendly and helpful -nothing is too much trouble! They never stop, if they are not organising activities for the children they are cleaning or working on the site.
The shop is up and running now and very handy. Toilet blocks are tried to keep clean but unfortunately some campers do not help by not cleaning up after themselves
The only things that I think the site lacks is somewhere undercover for the children to play if the weather is bad and laundry facilities could do with a couple washing machines and dryers. Would definitely recommend this site.

Just got back from five fabulous nights.
We were close to the playarea so it was noisy - but having two children this didn't bother us.
The noise was that of happy kids having a great time. Due to the glorious weather there were several waterfights with most of the kids on site joining in. The place was buzzing at 10-o-clock, but come 10.30, when the no noise policy kicked in, the site went quiet, and everyone seemed to respect this.
We used the smaller toilet/shower block which was always lovely and clean.
The children loved the lamb feeding, and the way you could stroke the baby animals. They also went on one of the pony rides - and received a little rosette. They really go out of the way to entertain the children, adn make their stay special.
As for the tractor ride - what can I say, but it is a must.
There is a small shop on site selling a few bits.
Was able to bring home half a dozen eggs for my brother, laid that morning - straight from under the hen, and still warm.
We are definitely looking forward to a return visit.

Just returned after spending a week at Fron Farm. On arrival we were shown to our pitch by Dylan on his quad bike and he even reversed our caravan in for us. We were situated near the bull pen which the kids enjoyed.
The site is superb for children and we were given a sheet that told us what activities were on and on which days. There was lots for kids to do. There is lamb feeding and they can have a cuddle with the bunny rabbits and there is a park on site. Our children also did the pony riding which was fun and they even got a little rosette at the end of it.
The tractor pull is a must. The money collected is given to charity too. Its so much fun ( I think I enjoyed it more than the kids)
The facilities were good. The showers and toilets were clean most of the time. The site was fully booked so there was a lot of people there so they are bound to get dirty. We did have a day and night of rain so there was grass all over the floor but again, its to be expected. I do think that more showers are needed though for the amount of people there. There are only 3 showers and there was often a queue. My husband even had to queue at around 10pm one night.
The owners were very friendly and we had great weather for most days which was great. We will definitely we using this site again. Brilliant for families!

Have just spent 5 nights over the Whit weekend. We arrived on the Friday evening and were taken to one of the many camping fields by the owner allowed to choose our own pitches as we were expecting friends the following day, while we were being shown to the pitch the owner Dylan stopped to check on the welfare of a child who had fallen over and took him back to the childs family.
The site itself is very spacious and allows plenty of space around each unit without feeling too cramped. Our unit was pitched right next to the sheep paddock which gave the children a great thrill.
The shop on the site sells the essentials and appears to be open all hours. There is a also a burger van on site over the weekends and an icecream van called every night we were there (it's good to see local businesses co-operating).
The activities laid on for the children were second to none consisting of lamb feeding, bunny cuddling, sheep shearing, tractor rides and horse riding, there was also a woodland walk organised but we couldn't make that so can't speak about them.
All the staff were very friendly and happy to help, they also had a lot of time for the children.
The toilet blocks were kept spotless which was no mean feat considering that it poured down for two nights and days and the site was full.
Mold is about 2 miles away and has a market on Saturday and Wednesday along with a good selection of shops and stores for the nomal shopping needs.
The only downside is the steep and narrow approach to the site but if taken at a sensible speed with plenty of forward observation should give no problems
All in all a very nice site very well situated for the Clwdian Hills and Offas Dyke path.

Loads for the kids to do, tractor rides which they do to raise money or alder hay hospital, lamb feeding and pony rides plus park on site.
The weather wasn't brilliant but it didn't make a difference, very family orientated with a noise curfew of 10.30, which was respected by everyone.
The new shower block and toilets was always kept clean.
The owners were very friendly and can't wait to go back.

Very busy but didn't feel too crowded! Very relaxed atmosphere and the kids absolutely loved it. From the lamb feeding to the tractor pull and horse riding!
The play area appeared very well maintained and very central so the kids could go off on there own. If I hadn't set time boundaries I doubt I'd have seen them much at all!
All the staff extremely friendly and helpful and The Miners Arms was a gem of a pub. My kids were completely gobsmacked at how the sheep just wandered the streets!
We will definitely be returning!

Visited the secnd May BH and can only agree with all the fabulous comments. This is an excellent, well run site with plenty for kids to do, with the farm animals, pony rides, tractor rides etc. The owners are very helpful and although it is a big site, it does not have a commercial feel to it. We were pitched right by the kid's playground, which was perfect for our two kids.
The only downsides to this site is that when at full capacity, as it was when we were there, the site is very noisy and the toilets / showers were dirty and messy most of the time. They just needed cleaning far more often. Also, there were constantly queues for the showers and dishwashing.
There were many campers across the site who ignored the 10.30 noise cut off, however, there were no wild parties as such and it does go very quiet later on.
I think we would definitely go back, but not at bank holidays as the site clearly struggles when full.
