We decided to make the most of the weather and made this our last trip of the season.
It was beautiful. The kids loved the playground, the animals and the big field. We found everything to be clean and more than adequate - I've been to more expensive campsites with better ratings that were far worse in terms of cleanliness and facilities. The extra touches like the freezer and draining racks really make a difference. The staff were friendly and helpful and the Fron Farm lamb burgers bought at the farm house were delicious! We'll definitely go back again.

This site is set in a beautiful location, the views are breathtaking especially watching the sun setting. When we were driving up it was really hilly and I was panicking as we had a long tunnel tent but got on the site and it is quite level and not a problem at all.
There is water taps around them camping field and also fire extinguishers plenty of them. The pitches are really spacious.
There are animals in little enclosures around and the kids loved giving them grass to eat.
The owner is very nice and helpful.
The toilets are a portacabin and are basic as is the show block but the showers were free and really powerful and warm

We stayed at this sight for the second time this year and absolutely loved it!
The sight is based in a beautiful location and there was nothing nicer than being surrounded by Calfs, bulls, horses and a beautiful skyline!
The children on this sight seem to love it and it is very reasonably priced. We paid £24 for 2 nights in a tent with electric hook up, 2 adults and 1 car. We are going back next year!
The only downside I would say is the showers and toilets are not the most immaculate of facilities but this would not prevent me from visiting again in future!

We arrived at this site a little worried as we had spent the previous evening spending hours looking for somewhere to camp and the weather forecast was not to good so picked this one as it was not to far from home and we were not disappointed! In fact one of the best sites we have stayed on, had there been a pub on site it would have filled all the boxes and been number one!
We didn't have to pre-book and when we arrived rang the owner who was there in half a minute and was then shown to the site and told to pitch where we wanted, as most of the pitches were level and not muddy we were spoilt for choice!
The toilets and showers were a little dated but clean and tidy with lots of hot water, the wash up area is small but adequate and has the added bonus of a freezer to put your ice packs.
Outside the shower block there is a notice board that advertises a bus service from and to a pub in Hendra (not that we used it) and a great little farm shop outside Mold that does fantastic fresh meat for barbecues.
There is a large play area for kids that was constantly busy and a enclosed pen that housed some sheep etc which the little ones enjoyed, also a separate loo block further into the tent Field that was handy
In all a great site and much recommended! Will definitely be back!

We spent 2 nights here over the August bank holiday and had a fab time. Owners friendly, views fantastic, overall a really great site. The pitch was flat and there was enough room (not too close to our neighbours). There was a BBQ on the Saturday night which was good fun, the children (boys aged 11 and 4 ) really enjoyed it. The boys spent most of their time in the playground making new friends. The showers and toilets are adequate and are cleaned regularly. Only 1 sink for potwash but no one seemed to mind waiting. We will be returning next year

Only stayed here the one night on our way from from camping elsewhere but we are definitely planning on going back.
The location and the view from our tent was breathtaking. The site was easy to get to and well equipped although it could benefit from a few more sinks/showers.
The farmer was excellent, I thought towing the kids (and adults) round the field was above and beyond the normal remit for a farm owner. We loved it !

We have just spent 12 nights at Fron Farm and would recommend it, the pitches are large and not overcrowded with plenty of electric hook-up.
The Toilet blocks are basic but clean with plenty of paper and hand towels. Showers are clean and free with plenty of hot water.
There is a large play area for younger children and loads of room for ball games.
On the Saturday night they had a charity BBQ and disco in the barn which was great fun, plenty to eat and take your own drinks so no standing at the bar all night.
The owners are very friendly and came round daily to check that everything was okay.
Lots of animals for the younger children to see.
It was a shame that the weather could not have been better.
Mold has a great market on a Saturday with stalls in the street.
Tesco and Aldi are close by for food shopping.
We found several small pubs with home cooking and two of the local pubs would pick you up at the site and drop you off later for a small donation so you don't have to worry about driving back.

Just returned from 3 nights at Fron Farm and had an excellent time, we will definitely be returning.
The owners are really helpful and friendly and lent me their own tent pegs because I had forgotten mine. They told us to pitch where we wanted so we chose a pitch in front of the Highland cows. There was 17 of us and we all pitched together with plenty of room around the tents for cars etc.
The toilets were kept as clean as poss and we made sure we showered first thing as they did get muddy BUT it was chucking it down all week so only to be expected. The 6amp hook up was ample for us, tripped once but flicked the switch and came straight back on.
Overall a fantastic site, friendly, fantastic scenery. Lots of space. A good park for the kids and lots of different animals to look at.
The rates are really reasonable and the sledge ride was free! It hurts your bum but the kids didn't seem to notice.
Cant wait to go back

Hi everyone, We have just spent Monday to Friday at this site and myself, husband and 4year old had a great time. True to the other reviews it is a very friendly, family orientated and quiet site. The tractor rides from Dylan the farmer definitely lived up to my sons expectations! As did the hour or so off feeding the cattle and sheep. The site is just far enough away from the farm so as not to be a concern about little ones wandering down to that area. There were two sets of toilets, the first being portacabin style and the second in the main toilet and shower block.(1 shower in each of male/female toilets and 2 unisex separately outside) Both were adequate for our needs.(always hot water) Everything was in good working order, but they did not get mopped out as regularly as some sites we have previously visited, but also not as bad as some. Play area excellent, plenty of fields to walk around and the farmer and his family allow you to feed some of the horses, sheep, cattle and goats that they have on the farm, as long as its only carrots and apples! Antelope pub just up road served tasty food at a decent price, we didnt use the minibus pickup but it was parked up ready and waiting should you need it. We will definitely be returning to this site.

Just got back from spending 3 nights at this site and wouldn't hesitate to go back again. There is a great play park for the children and a pool table and punch bag in the barn, lots of different animals for them to see including goats and some beautiful highland cows with their calves. The pitches were a good size, we were with a family group and the owner managed to get us all on adjacent pitches with lovely views. The owner is very friendly and even came around every day on his tractor and towed all the children (and some adults)around the site sitting on a long rubber strip behind him just like a farm banana boat. Toilet facilities were a bit basic but kept clean and stocked with paper and the showers were free. All in all we had a great time despite the wind and rain.
