Very friendly camp site, good for the children with a play area on site. Owners great with the kids letting them hitch rides in their land rovers around the site. Pool table in the barn with a punch bag as well. Farm animals all around the site, which the owners let you roam to see the farm animals.
3 pubs within 10 mins drive, had a meal at the miners arms which was very nice, a curry and a pint. Drove to the market in mold on wednesday which was good. Good shops also around.
Camp site seems to be back to front though with the biggest of the toilet blocks by the caravan section and not the tents. Also no shops near for goods. Price wise £20 per night with electric but slighty higher on bank holidays. We had 3 adults and 2 children aged 13 and 11 staying. They owners let us borrow their electric hook up cable as ours was not long enough which was good of them and most of the site is flat to camp on.

Great site, loads of room between pitches, adequate/clean facilities, cannot comment on showers did not use but they were electric so don't see how you could run out of hot water as previous comment.
Would return but would use the back entrance as seemed to be better access. Sat nav took us the wrong way turned round used main road does say on web page not to use sat nav.
Owner could not have been more helpful
Kids play area great, did not have to walk far for water (right behind us)
Mold close by market saturday/wednesday, aldi and tesco in town.

A large, quiet, friendly campsite, that has good facilities and lots of room for good pitches. Just make sure you use the outside unit showers in the afternoon as there won't be any hot water left in the tank for the shower in the toilet!
The Miners Arms pub nearby offers very good value food and drink.

This was our first time at this campsite, and we loved it, muddy field as well. The owners were fantastic and they involve all the children that visit in all that they do at the farm, they give kids rides on the quad bike when they are around the camp, and they also had a long mat attached to a huge tractor and pulled all the kids around the camp. Not a lot of shower facilities for the size of the site, fab playing area for kids, and huge logs for kids to scramble all over. But looking forward to going back for another long weekend soon. Hopefully when the weather is better, my washing machine has never done so much in a day when we returned.

Stayed at this site for two nights walked to pub first night and it was across a field through the woods need good walking boots on. The site is back to front as far as I can see as the caravans are near the best toilets and the only washing facilites and showers and the tents are in the next field .

Glad to return to Fron Farm, we stayed half a dozen times last year and enjoyed it so much that we have booked a seasonal pitch.
Everything is as we remember, clean ammenities and site, play area as popular as ever, very reasonably priced, fantastic.
Dylan and Ceri are always helpful ( including pulling caravans out of the mud (wet and very windy bank holiday weekend).
We visisted the market (Sat and Wed's)in Mold 5mins away in the car, great bargins to be had also major supermarkets there.
Great walks around (loggerheads is a good walk for beginners and nearby). Antelope hotel based on the main road below the farm was nice. The Druids Inn(Llanferres) really worth a visit, the food is out of this world, meal around £8-£15 but worth every penny.
Recommend any one to stay at Fron Farm, you will not be disappointed.

Visited at Easter 2008, due to the bad weather (high winds!) we nearly came home on the first night! so glad we decided to stay!
The site is in a lovely rural setting, set within a working farm. The farmer and his family are very welcoming and friendly, we were shown to our pitch and Dylan (the farmer) checked everything was ok before leaving us to set up. The site is quite flat, with more than adequate space around each pitch, the toilets and showers were kept warm, clean and tidy. There is a good play area which we had trouble keeping our kids away from! it is a very family friendly site.
We were allowed to explore the whole farm, the kids enjoyed feeding the baby calfs and the horses are so friendly! On Sunday Dylan came around with his land rover with a long rubber mat attached to the back, all the kids on the site had a great time being pulled behind him. The views from the caravan are amazing. The town of Mold is 10 min away, we visited the market which is held there every Saturday. All in all we would highly recommend this site, we can't wait to go back again.

We had the pleasure of staying on this farm for a weekend, it is very reasonably priced. There were three groups of us all with family tents each had electric hook up. The farmer and his wife were so accommodating making sure we got pitches together. The pitches were very spacious with fantastic views over the hills and country side. On site there were toilet blocks with separate showers and a utility room to do your dishes. There were only two separate showers and sometimes there was a queue but it didn't cause too much problem. The play area is the centre of all and is very safe and friendly. The whole site had a nice friendly atmosphere which is probably due to the owners who are very welcoming and as its a working farm you could get a little insight to the every day workings of a farm. Everyone who worked there were friendly and didn't mind you seeing the cows in the barn or the horses by the family home you were welcome anywhere on the farm.
The farmer would take time out of his busy schedule to visit you everyday to make sure everything was ok. One of the things my children enjoyed the most was the farmer giving them a ride on his quad bike which he frequently used to check on his live stock in ajacent fields. The weekend we went they had a charity night in the barn what a night and were do I start. Fantastic is the word, for a laugh we all dressed up my husband and I and my two sons who are 7yrs and 3yrs. The theme was country and western and the party was in the barn, it was set up brilliant with bales of hay to sit on or have straw fights with, which did happen at the end of the night. They provided all the food which was fantastic and only cost £4 per adult and £2 per child and you took your own drinks. They had a Dj for music which lasted until midnight, it was a great night and will definitely go next year if they do it. This site is great for everyone young or old I highly recomend it .

Our fourth visit over the last 12 months proved to be the best yet. If you are looking for friendliness and chilling ( bit loud some nights - especially if we are there as a group )this is a must. Adequate toilet and shower facilities, the kids love the animals in pens and NO they don't make much noise at all, good play area and lovely views. Just a short drive to Mold ( great shopping area and lovely Wetherspoons pub) and well placed for visiting North Wales. It was a cowboy themed Sat night and was GREAT, organised by the fantastic Ceri and Dylan, We had BBQ, Disco, Raffle etc. Watch out for Dylan's tractor pulling the kids love it. Will definitely be visiting soon as long as the weather doesn't get much worse.

Well what can I say about this fantastic site. I have been coming onto this site for over a year now with my family. And in Aug, we was delighted to see a calf being born. The farmer and his wife And family are very welcoming and friendly. The site is just great and is peaceful with outstanding scenery. It has showers, toilets which are very clean the whole site is kept well maintained and you can see the cows, sheep while you are there. And seeing a calf being born was great. Love to see that again, we come about 6 times from April to Sept.
This site deserves more than 2 stars more like 4 or 5 its so lovely here and theres no over crowding. The shops are not far, they are about 10 mins away and there are pubs about 5 mins away. This site has no traffic noise and is peaceful even when kids are playing, theres a park for them to play in. I would like to thank the farmer and his family for a fantastic break away for over a year now and we will be coming every year to Fron Farm Fantastic xx
