Just another one of our very enjoyable trips to Fron Farm, in total about 6 - kids love it for the tractor pull and for feeding the animals, being keen riders the girls love the horse riding. Have always pitched in top field, by the new toilet blocks, never had to queue, always clean and tidy.
Cant comment on the showers, as only there for 2 nights can rough it without the need for showering.
There is a no noise policy for 10.30pm, but as we were pitched near some static touring caravans, the residents in there were on the loud side, don't know if this rule applies to them, or just campers - it goes quiet eventually, but its nothing too annoying.
Went the last weekend in April and had fab weather, if not a little breezy - just sitting whiling the hours away, people watching is just fine by me. Kids are gone from the minute they get up till bed time, have been that often we are now classed as regulars by Ceri and Dylan, which is always nice. The girls help out with the horses at the end of the riding sessions, which is always welcome by Ceri, and other members of staff.
They have chickens walking about the place, and goats and lambs in a small paddock in the top field. The horses are always thankful for the apples, and carrots, which of course the kids love feeding.
Have booked again for the 1st may bank holiday - cost for the weekend just gone was £43, 2 adults, 3 kids, 1 large tent, 1 car and EHU - cant beat it.

Just back from our first trip to Fron Farm. We chose it because we had read the reviews and it sounded like an excellent site to take children. We were not disappointed.
We arrived Friday evening in torrential rain which miraculously stopped just as we began to pitch! We had glorious weather (sat in t-shirts on Saturday morning) except from the torrential downpour on Saturday night (started at 20.45). We were very impressed with how well the tent field drained, though.
Kids loved feeding the lambs and calves, the tractor-sledging (twice), the pony rides and the play area. Lovely friendly site, although there are a lot of pitches and it got very busy over the bank holiday.
On the downside, there are not enough washing facilities (both for dishwashing and showers) for the number of pitches so they get very busy and there are queues unless you get up very early!
Mold is less than 10 minutes away with all the shops you need - Tesco, Aldi, B&M, etc.
Will definitely be returning to this site.

First time visit to Fron Farm
We were lucky and had amazing weather and are even a tad red with the sun.
Paid £60 for 2 nights with EHU, 4 adults, 2 kids, one 2 year old and 2 cars and one trailer
Great value for money, pitched right by a sheep enclosure which was lovely, and near to the new toilet blocks.
We were shown to our pitch by a lady on a quad bike, although it wasn't very busy she told us we could pitch where we liked so we chose a pitch in a quiet location.
The pitches are large approx 10m x 10m which fitted our very large tent and car, EHU is 6 amp, not sure if it is any higher ampage anywhere else, but had no problem running a heater etc
The new toilet block has ladies, (although I didn't go in there believe they were good), gents with 4 sinks, mirrors, soap, hand dryer, shaving points, and 3 showers which are free and plenty of hot water, around the back there are 4 sinks with hot water and a place you can empty your toilet waste. Cleaned on a regular basis
The kids play area was clean and tidy, with swings, a slide etc for the kids to play on
There were a few things to do, horse riding for the kids which cost £2 and a tractor pull which is free but donations taken for charity. I believe this can be seen by putting 'fron farm tractor' in youtube, also an ice cream van visits the site too.
Mold is 10 minutes down the road, which has a farmfoods, tesco, homebase, a market on a saturday and a car boot sale on a sunday.
You are allowed to stay until 2pm on departure day, don't know if this is always the case or just because it is a bit quiet.
Very friendly staff and have already booked a return visit.

This is our second visit to Fron Farm.
Owners, Ceri and Dylan were again always on hand and very helpful and friendly, even gave us phone numbers for a take away.
We arrived Good Friday and weather wasn't the best (raining hard).
Dylan and another man immediately helped us put caravan onto the pitch as our people carrier kept slipping in the mud. ***Thank you Dylan and helpful man***
Kids jumped out and ran to play on park - came back 30 minutes later covered from head to toe in mud - well it was raining!
There were activities all weekend.
*Woodland walk including pub stop (very good)
*Easter egg hunt - fantastic, we even found some eggs.
*Horse rides - £2
*Tractor sledge rides - (MY FAVOURITE) Free but they collect for local charities - so give generously.
*Lamb feeding
***I can only describe this place as good family fun****
Its has basic facilities but once again toilet roll were always available and considering the amount of rain that fell the facilities were quite clean.
Showers were hot - so my husband told me. (I opted for our own shower in caravan this time)
All pitches are grass. So can get muddy if it rains but drain well and quickly after rainfall stops.
No shop on site, but one currently under construction.
Mold, nearest town about 10 minutes away in car. Has Lidl, Tesco etc and a very good market.
Value for money, we paid under £70 for a family of 4 over the Easter bank Holiday weekend (Fri-Mon inclusive)
I would return again and not hesitate to recommend other families to go to this site.

We arrived here for the easter holiday, it was muddy in parts especially around the tents but that's to be expected in April and the field we were on drained well. The owners were very friendly and we were shown to our pitch without problems we didn't ask to move as we liked our pitch but we saw others asked and were accomodated without any issues.
There are 2 toilet/shower blocks both kept relatively clean despite the weather but we didn't go at peak times in the morning we waited until the rush had died down but I presume they got muddy which is forseable.
We took 2 children and barely left the site the whole 3 days only for food etc they absolutely loved it, the site had put on an easter egg hunt, lamb feeding, pony rides, pub walk, rabbits to stroke and a tractor ride which we didn't participate in but wished we had someone to look after our young ones as we would have loved to! (huge piece of tarp dragged by a tractor) and they raised money for Alder Hey doing it.
Mold was a 10min drive away for essentials and a good market on a Saturday, we passed a macdonalds but the children never asked once to go!
A really good site with play area for the children we think we will be regulars as it was very child friendly and a great place to stay and excellent value for money.

Just spent our first night ever camping and found this site through a search on here.
Absolutely fantastic, very helpful owners who must have been sick of all our questions!
The site is lovely, was nice and fairly quiet so good for our first night camping although we met some very helpful & friendly people. Fabulous children's play area and the site is so safe for them, you don't need to worry. Our six year old quickly made friends and we didn't see him for a good few hours, although we could hear him a lot!
We pitched just near the new toilets / showers which were spotless and meant we didn't have too far to go with it being our first time. No shop on site, but they did come round selling eggs! The nearest shops (Tesco / Aldi) are only about a 10/15 minute drive away and there was a put about 10 minutes drive too.
Will definitely be visiting here again.

My family and I only stayed one night at Fron Farm but it was a great one night, it has fantastic views of the surrounding country side.
Only a 5 minute drive away from Mold town centre with Tesco's superstore and lots of smaller shops it was ideal for me and my family.
The prices were fantastic too, £16 for my wife, my 2 children, my dog & me for one night without electric hook up but it's only an extra £3 per night for the hook up which is excellent value.
The facilities were very clean and well maintained, the play area was also in great condition.
To be honest I can't really say a bad word about the place, my kids loved it, my wife enjoyed the peace and quite and I just enjoyed the views and feel of the place, its definitely a family place and we will definitely be going back again.

We stayed here in August 2009.
Our 1st camping holiday weekend on our own without friends helping to put up tent.
What a fantastic, child friendly site.
The owners are lovely and always seen around the site.
We arrived and were shown to the campsite where we were told to pitch our tent where ever we wanted to. We chose a pitch near to the older toilet/ shower block opposite the play area. Fantastic move. We hardly saw the kids all weekend, they played so much.
We had a fantastic, relaxed, sunny weekend made even better by the woodland walk and tractor ride back to farm (kids loved it), Horse riding for the children at a nominal cost and tractor sledge ride which was the BEST FUN EVER!- I have never laughed so much (the money collected is donated to a charity)
An ice cream van called around each evening, and didn't break the bank! Ice cream nice too.
We didn't leave the site all weekend
The site isn't the Ritz, the toilet facilities are basic but toilet rolls and paper towels were always available. (A new toilet block opened while we were there, looked good)
We are definitely going back to have a good family weekend in the near future.
I would and have recommended this farm to friends and family.

We stayed here in our caravan with 4 children and one dog. My sister stayed in a tent with her hubby and 2 children. Children were aged between 3 and 8 yrs. We could pitch together as it was mid week which was a bonus!
The facilities were good, pitches were v spacious and the children could entertain themselves. What more could you want?! They loved the animals, horse riding and the infamous tractor sled ride! Our dog had lovely fields to run round in also, he loved it.
We didn't really venture off site as we didn't feel we needed to, we were happy and relaxed and the children were off having fun!
We would return again.

My family have just returned from Fron Farm for the bank holiday weekend. We found this site on the internet by chance and I am so glad we did. What a fantastic site. The pitches are a really good size and you don't feel as though you are intruding onto anyone else's space. The toilet blocks are really clean and the showers were just right. The playground for the children was really good even though we could not appreciate it to the full due to the great british weather. On the saturday night the farmer, Dylan, arranged a disco in the barn which was fantastic. I never imaged that I would be dancing on a bail of hay. The highlight of our weekend would have to be the tractor sledging. What an experience. Anyone going to this site must do it at least once. To summarise this site is a little gem. I would recommend to all and will definitely be returning, hopefully when the sun is shining.
