Fantastic. We spent a weekend there its a great site, its got a pen for dog exercise grat toilets and showers the owner forgot his name gets the kids involved with feeding the animals, while we was there it was sheep sheering.
You can feed the chickens. Its got its own farm shop. And mold is just down the road, some great pubs nearby.
Threes also CCTV on site and its monitored its very good he runs a small buger van for a couple of hors at night great for the kids if you don't want to cook

Just got home from a wonderful weekend at Fron Farm. The pitches are generous sizes and well marked. Plenty of water and electric points. There were young trees planted around the perimeter of the camping fields which were great shelter. Toilet blocks were cleaned regularly and were obviously quite new. Didn't use the showers but they looked as spotless as everywhere else. The washing up area was indoors which was nice. Hot water all day and night and never needed to queue.
There was a quiet after 10. 30pm policy which most people kept to and the owners seemed to do a lap of the site on their quad bike at bedtime. The kids play area was fantastic, plenty for them to play on and the location was great as you could see it from most of the site. The farm had goats, pigs and chickens on show and there were cows and sheep in the fields.
The on-site snack van was good, if a little expensive but the people were lovely. £1. 20 for chips, £1. 80ish for a burger. The pony rides went down a treat at £2 a go. We didn't stay for the tractor pull but it was looking very popular. The little shop at reception was well stocked with basics but as you're very close to Mold with it's many supermarkets you only need basics on site.
A beautiful site which we will definitely visit again soon. Would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing few days with somewhere safe for the kids to play. At £34 for 2 nights, no electric, 2 adults 1 child 1 infant - brilliant value.

We stayed for 3 nights at this site returning yesterday. The owner was very friendly. The children fed the lambs and the owner made sure anyone that wanted to hold a lamb while having a photo taken was able to.
There weren't many toilets considering the size of the site but they were kept very clean and I only had to queue once. The play area was good and the children enjoyed it.
The tractor pull was interesting and the children seemed to love it but my bottom is still suffering the effects of being pulled along on bumpy stones! Not something I would do twice!
We were very lucky with the weather and from our tent could see a beautiful sunset over rolling hills. Very idyllic. There were a lot of seasonal caravans with country music blaring from one all day but the tent field was separate and a lot quieter which was a bonus. I think we would probably stay again.

We've just returned from a 4 day trip there and had a brilliant time (the weather was great which helped!). The site more than caters for families and I can see why so many are there.
The play area was great for all ages (although as the evenings gets later the older kids tend to dominate a bit) and the owners tractor pull and rides were fantastic.
Dylan made our sons year by letting him have a ride on the actual tractor and 'beep' its horn! The owners make you feel so welcome and were very accommodating, especially as I had a husband who didn't know till literally the last minute if he was joining us or not, then decided he wanted to say longer than we'd booked!
The views of the Clywdian Range are so stunning, took our breath away. The on site chip and burger van made a pleasant change from BBQ (and was actually lovely for a burger van!)
We had a wonderful stay and will most definitely be returning for many years to come.
My only criticism is that the showers were extremely hot and too hot to properly clean my kids and the freezer doesn't freeze cooler blocks very well, otherwise it was a perfect stay :0D Thank guys

Just come back from a great stay at fron farm.even though the weather was not kind to us we had a a really nice time. The minute we arrived we were welcomed by a friendly relaxed atmosphere.
The site was really busy but we did not feel overcrowded and the pitches are a good size. The children loved the tractor pull from dylan.
Toilets and showers were kept immaculate and never had to queue. The site is a little isolated and you do need a car if you want to go out and about.
Will definately be going back.

We arrived without booking and were made very welcome by the owner. He showed us to a site, putting us on a lower field, near caravans as it would be quieter and to protect us from the wind.
We had a lovely 2 nights stay. People were friendly and were quiet by 10.30pm. Children were well occupied around the site and it was lovely to see them enjoying the fresh air and farm.
We had a meal at the Antelope Arms, and although not the cheapest bar meals, the meal was excellent.
We would certainly visit the site again as there is some lovely walking country around and it is well maintained with excellent facilities.
Cheapest site we have been to for a long time for just a couple on our own -£13pn -excellent value.

Just had a long weekend at this site, our first visit but definitely won't be our last !
All the staff are really friendly and helpful, the pitches are well sized, being a working farm there's lot's of animals for the kids to interact with. Horse riding is £2 for short trot around the paddock. They have a fun tractor pull with donations for a local charity, the kids Loved this.
There's a small shop on the site and a snack van open for most of the day. There are 2 toilet blocks, the older block could do with a little work but generally well maintained. On top of this the local area is stunning.
We ate at the Antelope Arms (around 1 mile from the site) one evening, service and food excellent.

We arrived at 8:30pm, after the book-in time, but this was not a problem. I rang Ceri to let her know we'd be late, and it wasn't an issue. She was there to book us in, and asked us to choose a pitch, we went for 20, as it seemed the most level.
The site itself was immaculate. The warden works hard, and bins are checked and emptied umpteen times every day. Lots of water taps, and lots of fire points with extinguishers and alarms.
The toilet/shower/pot washing facilities were faultless. They do have CCTV facing the sinks to deter vandalism, and this seemed to work. Though it seemed to me it wasn't needed, as the children on the site made their own harmless fun.
There's a 'no noise' policy after 10:30pm, and all campers/caravanners were considerate and there wasn't a peep from anyone.
I don't know the opening hours of the shop, we didn't really need anything as we took what we needed with us. The shop wasn't open at around 2pm Sunday when the girls wanted a lolly ice. But hey, I didn't mind, as it is a working farm after all, and they have a family also.
The only downside was the awful weather. Strong winds, and lots of heavy rain. But the caravan kept us warm and dry so not too bad.
Over all, a fantastic site, any issues are dealt with immediately, and they strive to keep their campers happy. Will definitely be visiting again this year!

Just got back from a weekend away for my daughters birthday. This is a lovely site, the toilets and showers were kept really clean,. It wasn't very busy so we had plenty of pitches to choose from and they were quite big sizes, plenty of space for your caravan, awning and car. Kids did lamb feeding on the Saturday morning which they enjoyed. Unfortunately it rained all weekend but that didn't stop the kids from playing on the park. This is a lovely site although it was very windy. Would go back again maybe in the summer when not so windy and hopefully warmer.

Defiantly not for us. At £17 per night very over priced. We have a tent, the pegs would not go in.
Rocks beneath the grass. The toilet blocks were clean however very inadequate for the size of site. The water was only warm.
We have paid less for an A1 5 star site. There were activities however we were not informed until after the event.
No shops or pubs within walking distance.
I will say the children who were there was happily enjoying themselves, there is a play area.
