On arrival staff were friendly and very quick check in. We were pitched in the tenting area which is at the back of the site.
First impressions were a well kept, tidy site.
Good sized pitches, large shop that had everything.
Chippy on site was ok, but we prefer 'vegas chippy' just round the corner.
The big plus for this site is that you don't need to drive once you arrive, 5mins to the beach, 15mins walk or take the land train into town.
The Toilet block was very clean with good size cubicles. When we were their the toilets were cleaned every 2hrs!
The kids love the play areas and pool.
We didn't use the club so can't comment.
Overall an excellent site and we will definitely be returning.

Loved everything about this site. Had 2 15 yr olds and 2 12 yr olds and they loved it too. Lots to do.
Toilets were clean some even had music while you showered, we were in Hedges no 8 and it was fine, a little stream behind with ducks.
We could have done with reserving a larger pitch as we had a pup tent with us.
We felt the campsite was safe for the kids to use their bikes on.
The whole site itself gave a safe and well kept appearance.
The land train was superb.
My only gripe is that the kids would not get up and dance with me !

We arrived at 6:30 in the evening, and followed the signs to the separate booking reception for camping. Once booked in we were given a map to our site which was not clearly marked. However we found it and pitched up.
The site has some fab facilities. The chippy was good value for money, but busy. The club was great and catered for every age from toddlers through to older people, with lots of staff on hand to help.
We didn't use the pools but they looked nice. The shop was fairly pricey and seemed to be full of the usual gifts etc. However there is a tesco at the entrance.
The toilet and showers were clean but the push button showers lasted a max of 3 seconds, and could be very hot. There isn't stacks to do in hunstanton, a small shopping area, a fair and boat trips, but we went up to wells which was lovely.
We did feel that the searles management had tried to make the site all inclusive so that you never had to leave, during your stay and sometimes camping was an after thought.
However it is a great family site and apart from the pitch we had a fab bank holiday wk end. Would we return yes but coming with friends would be an improvement for us.

We have just spent 3 great nights at Searles where we totally agree with the previous comments with the exception of comments on the stream, where thought should be given to cleaning out the detritus from it, eg plastic bottles cans and rubbish dumped by holiday makers. This would certainly make the park look much nicer and help the abundance of wild life in the area.
Entertainment - great on Saturdays when the in house staff put on an excellent show. Our pitch no 34 had plenty of room to accommodate our Folding camper + awning and car.
We will certainly be returning in the near future, well done to all the staff at the site

What an immaculate campsite, first impressions can not be faulted, it was spotless.
The check in staff were extremely helpful and friendly and can not be faulted.
My main complaint is that we booked x2 tent pitches with electric hook up in May 2010 for May 2011. However, when we arrived we discovered that we weren't even next to one another, we were originally the opposite end of the field to one another. And also our pitch could just about fit our tent on that measures 7m x 5m. There was no room for our car or for us to comfortably sit outside our tent. But then that wasn't helped with selfish neighbours who parked they car right outside our tent!
Thankfully the staff dealt with the pitches not being next to one another straight away so that when the second party turned up, all was ok.
As mentioned previously by a fellow camper, considering we are only at the start of the season the pitches were already very dusty and stoney. A very good aspect of the pitches on this field was the high hedges for privacy and which also helped with the high winds we experienced that weekend. However, the field next to us where they mix the caravans and tents is meant to be more protected against the wind.
However, for a booking that was made one year in advance we could've at least been placed on a pitch that suited our tent. I wouldn't mind but we have tried to get on this site for the past 2 years but haven't due to our tent size. They wasn't fully booked at the time and in the next section to us was a number of larger pitches unoccupied.
The pitch location was central and by the stream which the kids loved especially with all the ducklings about and whom were not shy in coming close for a feed.
We also did not experience any noise at night that has been stated on previous comments. We found the site quite quiet, all except for the birds.
Other than the above, the site catered for all ages.
Swimming Pool, although a bit cold suited the children for a quick dip. It is a shame that the indoor pool didn't contain some fun elements for the children as no jumping in was allowed, it was only swimming, which can be boring after a while for the kids. The outdoor pool was used but was too cold at this time of year. The indoor pool can only cater for 40 people at any one time.
The supermarket on site is extremely well stocked, with a Tesco opposite the site entrance and a Sainsburys in the town centre.
A variety of entertainment was available of which we utilise.
The Buffet in the mariners did not look appealing. We opted for the Country Club at the back of the camp site for an evening meal which was very nice apart from the late sitting. Their lunch menu was also very nice and reasonably priced. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
Chip Shop was nice and reasonably priced, A Chinese is also available on site but was closed at the time of stay due to illness.
The toilets and shower blocks were always clean and warm. There seemed to be enough off them scattered about as we never had to queue. My only gripe is that there was no hot water on departure day around lunchtime. But again the staff were so helpful within 5 - 10 minutes there was running hot water. The shower / toilet block that is by the paddock field does need refurbishing although still very clean and usable.
The washing up area by the paddock field does need expanding as there was only 3 sinks available so queues did exist. Something different of which we haven't seen before is that drainers were provided. Made drying up a lot easier.
One aspect we did find misleading was the information provided on the website did not incorporate the real costs of the hidden extras ie the land train is not free as implicated online 60p per stop, a bit steep. The Captain Willys Playbarn was £2.50 for a 2 year old when on the website it states that a donation is required, tennis was also extra. Swimming was one facility that we found was inclusive of your pitch fee.
Overall, for a 5 star campsite we did expect more. However, we would return in a few years but would state what pitch we require ie the larger 8 / 9 metre pitches.

I have been coming to Searles since I was a kid, I`m now 32 with 2 children of my own. We LOVE it! Usually come 4x a year, often using the sun coupons and always enjoy it rain or shine. Plenty to do, clean, tidy, helpful staff, 5 min walk to the clean beach, 10 mins walk to the town. Old Hunstanton beach is a must with its old cliffs and white sand.
Lovely kids playground on site, outdoor pools, nice warm indoor pool, not huge but big enough for us. All areas are well kept and the evening entertainment is very good, with lots to keep the kids amused, children's entertainers are very good, I even get up and join in after a couple of vodkas :o)
Never encountered any 'trouble' from lager louts or chavs on this site, as I have on some other sites, very family friendly, and never heard any noise from the clubhouse for those of you who prefer a quieter evening. We are looking forward to coming again this Friday in a caravan £38 with the sun deals, and again for a week in august in our tent.Strongly recommend this site, havent yet used the shower blocks but will write another review after camping in august.

Just had 4 wonderful days at Searles. The campsite was lovely and clean, lots of hot water in showers and plenty of space for washing pots.
The pitch we had was perfectly located, only a 5 min walk from all the complex and its many amenities. The only downside to the pitch (along with most of the other hedged pitches) was the lack of grass on them, it made the pitch dusty and rather stony.
Our pitch was located next to the stream complete with its numerous ducks and many ducklings (the kids loved feeding them all day and watching them learn to swim)
The indoor pool was as you would expect for a park of this size, even if it was a bit cool (kids didn't seem to notice). The outdoor pool even opened whilst we were there and the kids loved every minute of splashing around.
The staff at check in were fantastic as were the reception staff during our stay.
The on site supermarket was fully stocked and reasonably priced, if it didn't have what you needed there is a Tesco opposite the park entrance.
It was a 15 minute walk into the town of Hunstanton along the promenade. We ate twice at a lovely eatery in town called The Family Diner, the meals were all home cooked and delicious.
The beach and the resort of Hunstanton are lovely with just the right amount of shops etc. All in all I would definitely recommend this park to anyone, hope you have as good a time as we all did

We happily spent a week on this site during the school summer holidays.
As campers we were on the overflow field or 'paddock' which we found to be level enough but the ground was rough, full of building rubble just below the surface. A nightmare for pegging out [Far righthand side as you go in, in case you want to avoid that bit]
The facilities were Ok with a toilet/shower block at the entrance to the field. But I have to say that the level of cleanliness left something to be desired. The Block further into the site seemed better.
Access to the beach and Hunstanton is easy and convenient. Tesco just outside the site is great for those days you don't want to cook breakfast.
We didn't use the clubs or bars on site so cannot comment but from the flyers it seems like traditional seaside type entertainment that was popular enough going by the steady stream of people heading that way in the evenings.
We enjoyed using the site as a base for exploring the area but I doubt we will be back.

We go to Searles at least 3 times a year,It is the only camp site where grandchildren and teenage sons always are happy to go back to.
I must be going deaf as I never hear any noise after 11pm its always surprised me that for the size of the camp site how quite it is after 11pm.
The price ! where else can you go with 8 people for £35 peak season. We find the site relaxed well maintained and always friendly. Love searles and maybe the comments made about the toilet blocks which I have always found clean.
Speak as I find its wonderful for sightseeing grandchilden and kids of all ages cant wait till next week I do prefer out of season but that's not always possible.Just wish they had a separate evening place for the teens but no site has everything

We have being staying at Searles every year for about 8 years. The main reason we have kept coming back is the entertainment. Wherever you are young or old they have something for everyone.
The toilet/shower block are always very clean and there is plenty of them. There is 2 outdoor play areas and an indoor softplay area.
There are plenty of ducks around and you can even buy 'duck bread' at the shop to feed them.
In the the town there is plenty of shops, amusements and places to eat. The beaches are lovely and clean. A lovely place to stay.
