Just returned from a week's camping. Big site with various size pitches. We had booked a 10 x 8 electric which we were told would be fine but upon arriving had to place us on a super sized pitch (the Paddocks). Good thing is they didn't charge us the extra. We got the break cheap so can't complain about price.
Shop on site quite pricey but Tesco just up the road. Ate once at the Cook House which was fine, chippy ok too.
They have a programme of events which seems to be the same week to week. Could do with more activities during the day. Quiz on everyday which attracted few people, did the orienteering, welly wanting and 'win a million' which were good fun but again very few participants. Showed a film daily in bar and usually had darts/ping pong/wii/ competitions on but after that there was nothing until the evening.
Can hire bikes and carts which are reasonably priced. Didn't use country club facilities so can't comment. Used pool once (indoor as was too cold for outdoor), fine but looked a bit dirty.
Evening entertainment was ok, good for young kids but our 10 year old was a bit bored so headed to arcade mostly. Other entertainment was average, had a comedian one night who was ok but didn't get much response from the audience. Other entertainment - usual cabaret and disco.
The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, lovely reception staff. The entertainment staff were lovely too and always smiling.
Wouldn't go back but that's probably because it could get a bit repetitive. Ok for a short break but we live too far away.
It has the potential to be very good, just needs a bit more.

We had used this site a few years ago, coming back to take advantage of a voucher they sent us. The site is in a superb position next to the beach with easy walking distance to the town.
In truth you needn't leave the site as a good chippie and supermarket are on site. Be aware however that the serviced pitches are not all enclosed by hedges on 3 sides.
The pitch we were allocated had a good view of the toilet block and was a short cut for those in the area behind us. My wife was asked to move whilst sat outside in her chair by a guy on a mobility scooter cutting through ! The site is lively at nights and a touch noisy for our liking.
We will not return but recommend Searles for families with young children as the facilities for them are excellent.

Don't normally go for these 'all singing all dancing' type sites but as they had a special mid-week offer on that worked out to £13/night which included ehu, own water, TV point and own drain. Thought I'd give it a go and can only agree with all previous comments-this really is quite a good site, though don't think I would like it peak times Aug.
As it was June, site generally was very peaceful, had a nice private pitch amongst the privets. Didn't use the bars or entertainment although found the reception to be friendly.
Right next to the beach so Hunstanton and Heacham can be walked to easily along the prom. The excellent Coasthopper bus stops at the site entrance which can take you afar as Kings Lynn or Cromer.
Tesco is just down the road and Hunstanton though small has most things required.

Visited this site in June, we found the pitches to be very small, we have a Kalahari 10 and only just managed to fit our tent on the pitch but we didn't really have enough room to pull out our guidelines properly. We were very unfortunate to have horrible windy and rainy weather which resulted in our porch blowing down. Not the best of our camping holidays. The site is virtually on the beach and the town is only a close walk, you can catch the mini train that runs from the campsite. The club is the usual setup, 2 bars, one focused towards families with the usual shows, the drink prices are over priced and you have to be there early to get a seat. Theres a shop, a launderette, a fish shop and a hairdressing/beauty salon. Indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Its an ok site if you have an average size tent but don't go if you have a large tent.

We stayed here for a week over the Jubilee Weekend in the Tennison Section. We were really happy with the entertainment and site facilities, Our Pitch was really big and hedges both sides for privacy.
The showers are free, lovely, clean and warm (underfloor heating), there are plenty of blocks on site. There were 6 showers in our block and 6 toilets each with there own little hand basin. You did have to constantly push the button - the only low part.
There are also 6 separate cubicles with a large handbasin, mirror and plug for hairdryer or straighteners etc, plenty of hangers in showers and a bench.
The best facilities we have been to for showers so far. Also a disabled/family room you have to get a Radar key for this, we didn't use. The washing up facilities were fab, a little drainer above each basin.
The outside swimming area looked brilliant, although to cold for us to use. The Land Train is an excellent Idea, 60p to town or £1. 20 to the light house. It is only a few minutes walk to the beach/town though.
The night time entertainment on site was really good as well. There are single or family bikes, seats 4, to hire on site (Family £5 per half an hour).
Hunstanton is a lovely quaint seaside resort, ranging from a few amuesements to a good few little rides for our 4 year old. We visited Sealife Centre on the seafront (5 mins walk) using our Tesco Clubcard Points, it took us approx 1. 5 hours to get around (slowly), they have seals, penguins, sharks, giant turtle, lots of various fish, a rockpool which gives children the opportunity to touch a starfish and gain an award (medal necklace), our 4 year old loved it, would be a little expensive if not for our Tesco Points £32ish for 3 of us.
We used Smokey Joes on Searles site for breakfast and for evening meal and we were especially happy with the service and food we received, they do a lovely curry and a good kids choice menu, would highly recommend using and the cost is acceptable for a holiday park.
There are 2 playground areas with sand on the floor, our little girl loved them.
The staff were so friendly.
We will definitely be revisiting this site next year. Would highly recommend Searles for a family holiday.

A fantastic site, our serviced pitch was huge, security made the place super friendly but safe,
Clubs on site ok but the club attached to the golf club was very cliquey and we were not made to feel very welcome.
All the facilities are very clean and well maintained, plenty of showers and hot water for all.
Overall a wonderful place and base to explore this part of the world.
My tip would be to remember to account for the dreaded A17 when travelling, with the traffic our average speed was just 26 mph!

Just got back from an Easter Weekend away at Searleys, Hunstanton is a lovely little seaside town and very close (5 minute) walk from the site. Plenty for all ages to see, we enjoyed a full day at the sealife centre, we did have bogof tickets but you can get a discount from the site too if you don't have any vouchers.
There are a couple of small fairs in hunstanton to, and a variety of gift shops & high street shops.
We had a pitch on 'hedges' which was sheltered by small hedges, but we struggled to work out where to pitch out tent as the pitch had obviously been used as a cut through for cars and was mainly mud in the middle, which did flood with the down pour of rain we had sunday night / monday morning.
The toilet/shower block was clean, but as others have stated the larger block near the campsite office were warmer and more modern.
Searlys itself has plenty for young families to do, a small but adequate swimming pool, it said had a 40 person limit but as the weather wasn't the best I think they bent the rules a little, although they did have 2 life guards on duty, swimming was impossible due to the volume of people in and we did have a 10 minute wait to get changed afterwards. The jacuzzi and Sauna were nice though. Don't forget ya 20p for the locker.
The Plazza was warm & inviting and always busy, with a cafe/bar area, snooker tables, amusements and internet stations.
There was staff dressed in various character wandering around and a jester entertaining the kids, which was nice.
There was a craft sale on the Easter sunday which had a variety of items like jewellery, kids toys and wooden ornaments.
We went to the clubs each night, but although the family bar is geared up for younger children with entertainers on singing and playing games etc, our 2 teenager daughters weren't really catered for. There was an adult only club which had entertainment (bands and singers) on but all children had to leave at 9pm, which seemed daft as it left the club almost empty.
We didn't really use the on-site supermarket but it seemed to sell most things you would need, and there is a big tesco virtually outside the site gates. We did use the on site chippy which was handy.
We ate in the smokey joes on site restaurant one night, and the food was good value for money with loads of choice, they do a £9. 99 2 course special which was brilliant.
The girls enjoyed hiring go-carts.
We would visit this site again as there is everything you need within walking distance, no need to use your car at all.
Our only criticism is lack of teenager entertainment or lower the age of access to the adult club?

Booked on site for four days at first and stayed three weeks. The site was clean, so were the toilets. Staff helpful, great value for money. Would stay again and tell others, could not fault it. We are a couple in are sixties and did not feel out of place. Had lots of things to do all just a walk away. Sunday market, bus to kings Lynn on one weekend. They had a motorbike rally for the air ambulance, lots of Honda Goldwing motorbikes, lots of fun for all ages. Felt safe as security staff made lots of visits all day and night

We stayed here mid-week for one night just after the schools went back. We usually stay at basic, quiet sites but fancied something different. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Searles is a Butlins-like village as we expected, with lots of entertainment and is very family-focused. As a couple in our mid-20's we had fun here too! It cost £21 for a 5m pitch and includes entertainment and lesiure passes, reasonably good value.
We pitched in the 'Paddocks' which was very quiet and away from the majority of other caravans/motorhomes. We did have a scrubland view though, but didn't mind too much. The pitches were grassy and clearly marked. The nearest shower/toilet block was very clean and checked regularly.
The evening's entertainment in one of the bars (there are 3) wasn't to our taste but we enjoyed a flutter in the arcade! The indoor swimming pool was great - almost empty and not a bad size, though no deeper than 1. 3m. The on-site supermarket is huge, stocks pretty much everything you can think of. If you can't find it, there's a Tesco within a five minute walk. We can't comment on any other facilities as we didn't use them.
The staff were very friendly, especially on Reception. We'd go back for a couple of days, perhaps with some friends. It's a typical holiday park so isn't to everyone's taste, but out of season is good for some cheesy fun!

Site is excellent this is our third camping trip and this has excellent facilities. We were on pitch 19 which was big enough for a 5m x 5. 5m tent plus car. The main tent area was just dirt but with a footprint didn't cause any problems.
Only downside to this pitch is that it was a walk through to the dish washing and toiler/shower areas which made it quite busy, was slightly noisy due to inconsiderate families with young children but think this is to be expected anywhere now.
Great little park over a bridge so children felt confident enough to go on there own. Shower block nearest to us was fine but the better ones are near the tourers reception, clean and lovely hot water.
Plaza good, entertainment good, great fish and chip shop (and cheap) handy supermarket on site to get milk first thing in the morning. Tesco just over the road, beach 5 minutes walk, once we parked and unpacked we didn't need to use the car again.
It was quite windy being near to the sea but will definitely be coming back next year. Would recommend this site it is worth the money.
