Great facilities on this site and all under one roof. Toilet block cleaned very frequently throughout the day. Lots to see and do around the site and on it. When we booked we wanted electric as we were stopping for ten nights. We thought we were unlucky but when we got there we were on the top field with no electric which is better as the electric pitches are all on top of each other and many were at the side of the road which is a hazard for people with small children. Been twice and would go again as it is a really good site.

I have just returned from a six day holiday to Searles with my husband and four children aged 11 to 3 years. I was somewhat dubious about these sort of resorts having had bad experiences of Haven and Butlins but having read the reviews the majority were positive. I had left it rather late to book and as a result I was allocated the smallest size pitch of 8 x 8m. The booking experience itself was easy, the lady I booked with on the phone was able to give me an idea of my pitch number so I could look where it was on the site map. On arrival it was somewhat confusing as to where reception was.

As you drive in there is a wooden hut on the left but it was unattended. We were approached by another guest who pointed us in the direction of the correct reception (white building). The lady at the desk was most welcoming and provided me with a pack and our entertainment tickets. She explained on a map she gave me where our pitch was and it was indeed the one I was previously told about. I gave her my mobile number as I was expecting a Sainsburys food order delivery and she called when they arrived on site. Having said that this was not necessary as there was a Tesco just across the road - I'll know for next time!

My first impressions of the site were good. It looked clean, no litter laying about and nice flowers and hanging baskets. I was rather surprised! We found our pitch relatively easy as the areas were all named and sign posted. What I would say is that the road is rather narrow with some sharp bends. Be wary if like us you have a large caravan. Our pitch was okay, located very close to the toilet block and had a small park across from it. The only thing was that because of the shape of the pitch once the caravan and awning were up it meant that our 'green' space was facing the road. Not too much of a problem as it wasn't too busy with cars but did feel somewhat like in a fish bowl with all the people walking past.

The touring part of the site looked well maintained and the park opposite was ideal for my 3 year old. There was a larger park on site with a pirate theme. My children only went there the once so I can't really comment on it. We used the toilet block nearest to our pitch and it was very clean. We went for showers at various times during the day and we never had to wait for a shower. Having said that there were times when I saw that there were queues. The under floor heating in the block was a pleasant surprise and the block itself was always warm as was the shower water. The only negatives about the toilet block was that the shower curtains looked like they needed replacing as they were all discoloured and there was only soap in the dispensers a few times that I needed to wash my hands. We walked the short distance to the beach on a couple of days. The beach itself was alright with a mixture of sand and pebbles and only had some litter on it. (Ive seen worse). We didn't walk very far along the beach but further up looked to have a funfair and more entertainments.

To get to the entertainment and the swimming pools you had to enter the Plaza. I felt this let the site down a bit. It looked 'tired' and the few artificial plants in the pots did nothing to improve it. The Plaza had a café (we didn't eat in it) and pool tables and table tennis. You had to show your entertainment passes to access the swimming pools. There are two pools, one indoor and a larger one outdoor which has a slide. Both pools were always warm, the indoor one in particular. On the first day we went swimming I was disappointed with the amount of litter laying about. It doesn't take a lot to clear the tables or throw the rubbish in a bin though I do appreciate that the guests should be tidying up themselves. I did see a man who looked like a manager talking to one of the lifeguards about it and from then on there was an improvement. There were really naff plant pots around the pool area with various amounts of dead plants in them. It would be better if they were moved altogether. My main gripe I think is quite a serious one. The pool has lifeguards but the whole time they were either talking to each other or on their phone. There was one in particular who was very bad, and seemed to have a real bad attitude. He was spoken to on a number of days by (I presume) a head lifeguard who was in a white polo shirt. As soon as the chap left him it was quite obvious that he wasn't pleased and then would continue to tell his mates about it. All the time not watching the pool. Very unprofessional. At times the pool was really busy and it would have been easy to lose sight of a little one but please do not rely on the lifeguards.

We went to the entertainment two nights. It was as you would expect for the type of resort. One of the team Barry, was particularly a good sport. The doors opened at 18. 30 and there were people queuing from about 18. 00 to get a table. We didn't arrive till gone 19. 00 and were able to get a table both nights.

We ate in Smokey Jo's on the curry night and the curry buffet was lovely with several vegetarian options.

The shop on site was brilliant in that it was not overpriced as they sometimes are. There were lots of pocket money toys for the children.

All in all, I was pleasantly surprised with this site. All the staff that I had contact with were very friendly but please somebody sort the lifeguards out!

Just got back today from 5 days camping on the non-electric pitch area.

A very good “Family” campsite. Perfect for those with kids to entertain but who also want to see a great bit of the country. It was easier to write this as a list, see below:

>Tent Pitch Area: Flat, clean, quiet, well maintained.

>Other pitches: looked very close together, minimal parking space although we were there in a busy period.

>Toilets/ Showers: Clean, functional, well maintained, always stocked, showers hot. More than enough showers/ toilets etc.

>Facilities: Shop, great, well stocked. Don't worry if you forget anything, they have everything. Not too expensive either. Chippy, looked good. Launderette.

>Entertainment. Suitably cheesy. Usual 2p machines etc. Evening disco, cabaret etc. Kids loved it. Was a giggle.

>Pool, Indoors & outdoors. Both seemed clean enough and were warm too. Good size on outdoor pool. Didn't see slide working but apparently operated only at certain times. Not too busy considering. Kids loved it. Long opening hours.

>Bar, all good and again not as expensive as I thought it would be.

>Surrounding area. Bang next door to great beach, perfect. Land train to town. Tescos literally outside of campsite (a positive comment). Lovely towns and villages along coast.

All-in-all we had a great time and the kids loved it. Plenty to keep them busy and the place just felt well looked after considering how busy it was. I see this as a family site, not for couples looking for a bit of peace.

Just got back from an amazing week at Searles Holiday Resort. Highly recommend it, was worried as such a big site but was def not disappointed.

We stayed in the paddocks field which was really lovely and not too big. At night the field was really quiet by 10pm.

Shower and toilet block was always clean and tidy with radio 2 to listen too. Never a queue with the size of the fields. Very warm in it too.

Swimming pools were great, both indoor and out. Felt like we were abroad sat around the pool.

Well stocked supermarket on site, but also a tesco 5 mins walk from the site which we visited daily!

On site our kids played on the parks, went go-karting and played mini gold, which was all priced really reasonable.

Good hire shop, my cousin I was with hired a mobility scooter which really helped her.

Site right by the beach and within nice easy walk of the town Hunstanton. Which was very clean and lovely to walk around.

Highly recommend this site to anyone we would definitely go back in years to come.

Spent 4 nights here in July, weather was very good, pitches superb, entertainment very good, only downside pool opening times, 10 am a bit late when weather so warm. Turning people away when we were at last having a summer was out of order. We went in and had a swim at 9am and after about 10 minutes sat on the grass (you are not allowed to touch loungers til 10am!) a boy came over and told us we had to swim or leave! Sorry cannot swim for an hour solid. A few more loungers are certainly needed and a bit of TLC on the pool area (very drab, needs a lick of colourful paint).

We were very impressed with the site layout and the cleanliness of the site and the staff were all

Very helpful and friendly. We would recommend this site and will be paying another visit in the near future maybe to one of their themed weekends.

One other thing we found very odd was that we had to pay for our awning when we have already paid for the space the awning is in.

The pitch we booked was a mains serviced pitch, which had a hedge surrounding the pitch, 16 amp electric hook up, TV point, private water point, and private waste point. We were advised the pitch was 10x8 feet in size, on arrival we were fairly sure the pitch wasn't that size (some were but ours was one of the smaller ones), but our tent fit the space (just) and we had the privacy we wanted. The kids spent most of their time at the local park (when not being picked on by older children) and the rest of their time was spent riding their bikes and scooters up and down the holiday park roads. They had a lot of freedom to explore in safety, which was lovely. We visited the restaurant on the first night (food was OK but nothing to write home about), and we also swam in the indoor and outdoor pools (adequate, although the changing rooms weren't very good). Showers and toilets were clean and we never had to queue.

Hunstanton was a nice town, a bit run down in places but some areas were lovely. Plenty of coffee shops and cafes to choose from. We walked from Searles along the seafront to the centre of town and then back again, about 3 miles in total but easily managed by my kids. There is a good beach, a fun fair, a Sea Life centre, and a leisure centre along the seafront walk. At the entrance to Searles is a Tesco that stocks most camping supplies. Overall, the site was adequate but we wouldn't go again.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend camping with a small group the celebrate our sons fifth birthday.

We booked over the phone and found the staff helpful.

Upon arrival, we had all been put together at no extra charge (usually £5 each to select a pitch) and were located in a lovely area with a selection of tent only and ehus.

The site is in a great location, a short walk to the beach and a nice walk into town, or alternatively get the land train from the site (60p for a single into town).

The site has a clubhouse, shop, take away chip shop and selection of restaurants on site, swimming pools, amusements, and a free indoor soft play area for children.

In the welcome pack you also get a voucher for the sea tours.

Hunstanton is now a bit of a ghost town, loads of charity shops etc, nothing happening at night. Fun fair closed and nowhere to eat in the evenings.

Just outside the entrance to Searles is a Tesco and a new, soon to be opened Marstons Two for One pub.

The shower facilities were clean, well maintained, and the under floor heating made them nice and warm unless people didn't close the door (a automatic door closer would be helpful) and the showers were powerful and constantly hot.

The pitch had some shrubs which in a few years will form a nice wind break/privacy. We had a 10x8m pitch which was massive so the children had space to play near the tents.

All in all had a very enjoyable stay here despite high winds and heavy storms! As previous reviewers have stated shower blocks clean and with good shower pressure. Only negative comment on shower block is that it is baking hot, oppressively so - good in winter but not June, maybe thermostat trouble?

Five of us stayed age range 51 - 89! plus jack Russell.

Conveniently located to the town and good dog walks. Staff very helpful and friendly. We only used the main Piazza area a couple of times and found the food excellent and good value for money, drinks a tad on the pricey side though.

Plenty of things to do on site, golf, fishing, bowls, petanque. Fountain bar and restaurant very pleasantly located for a quiet drink. Had one slight worrying incident when a side window of our tow car was accidently strimmed out by one of the groundsman, though all sorted out and paid for by Searles.

This is our first visit to this area and to this site and will definitely be staying here again if and when we return to the area.

Just had a fabulous three days at this lovely site. We were a bit daunted initially by some of the reviews on here and Trip Advisor and nearly didn't book but so glad that we did. We left it really late to book for May Bank Holiday and were starting to think we wouldn't get anywhere!

We had a 10 x 8 pitch with 10 amp hook up in the Paddocks area and were not disappointed with the location. It was close to the toilet block but not too close and was quiet and not used as a cut through. Some of the other pitches were quite snug but we were happy with ours. Water point close by too.

Toilet blocks had lots of options - cubicles with showers, wash basins, toilets etc and plenty of hot water. Blocks were heated too which was lovely and radio playing inside.

Supermarket on site great for essentials although massive Tesco opposite entrance.

Fish and chip shop great with very friendly staff.

Staff throughout park were v friendly.

Park is just a stones throw from the prom and you can walk into Hunstanton town or you can get the land train for £2 each for a return trip.

All in all a great break and a place we would return to. Kids loved both the indoor and outdoor swimming pools and there was a pub and entertainment if you wanted it.

Excellent site visited many times. Toilets and showers all extremely well maintained and cleaned regularly. Good on site facilities and close to Hunstanton. Good food and drink. Takeaway good value for money. Good bus service into Hunstanton. Supermarket within walking distance. Golf course nearby. Can get onto the beach via a path through the campsite and just across the road. Always have lots of offers on pitch prices.
