My husband & I have just returned from a four night break with our 2 daughters & Friend. We reported to reception & a member of staff gave us a map were would be pitching our tent, thinking that we would be placed in one of the sheltered bays on site to our surprise we were right at the back of the site in a large open field called the stables, all the areas were marked out. We pitched up the tent facing the shower block which was at the entrance of the field, this was a good choice as we had some very strong winds blowing across the field and wasn't sheltered at all. The shower blocks was clean & scalding hot running water so be carefull especially for the little ones. Their is a large tesco's just on the main rd & a small shop on site for those emergencies essentials such as bread, milk, or a chilled bottle of wine etc: Fish & chip shop on site for a quick bite, You can also hire electrical equipment from tv's to hairdryers. You also can hire gocarts for the kids but are quite excpencive you need £5 dep and a following £2 for ONLY 20 min's. The cycle hire is better value for money. Their is lots of entertainment for the kids with outdoor pool with slide, Indoor heated pool which was quite murky & just didn't look clean at all although the outdoor one was lovely and clean if its warm enough! A large club area with pool tables, air hocky etc: Coffee bar, Snack bar & its own Restuarant serving meals every day and not to expensive. Overall nice site but not sure if we would return.

This is an excellent site for families. Tent pitches were a good size and clearly marked out. There was no late night noise or trouble that we have found on other sites. Unfortunately the indoor pool was broken while we were there but the outdoor pools were big enough. The whole place was really nice and clean. There is plenty to do but dress codes for golf are strict and even for child's putting they need to wear a shirt. I would really recommend this site to any family it is really close to the beach and has a land train into town from the site if you have young children although the walk isn't far down the sea front. There is a tesco across the road, although the on-site shop is large and reasonably priced. Bike and scooter hire is also well priced at £7 for the day for bikes although my son was happy with a micro scooter for £2 for the day. Our 10 year old son loved it there and already wants to go again.

Just got back today after a week at this fantastic site. The toilet blocks are always clean and you also get piped music. The plaza area is great for kids but beware the price of drinks are very expensive. The site as a well stocked supermarket but this can also be expensive we used the tescos over the road. The beach is only a stones throw away and the fairground is is also in close proximity the sea life centre is also worth a visit but use the voucher in your welcome book to get two kids free it is a big saving. The site also as a swimming pool the pitches are big and the water point was close by I have already book to go again next year.

What a great place to stay. We've been back several times and now we have a camper will be visited much more often - the only problem is that it is so popular, you do have to book in advance. The site is clean, plenty of activities for children and adults. Only down side is the out door pool isnt heated On site restaurant food is excellent however service is slow. We rate Searles in our Top 2.

My partner and I visited this site in July, this is by far the best campsite we have visited. The shower/ toilet blocks and washing up facilities were brilliant, very clean, constant hot water etc. The added bonus being the on site facilities of the swimming pools and the entertainment, which were really good. We were somewhat apprehensive before we went as it was the first week the school children broke up ( we had no children staying with us, but there was plenty of space for everyone , there seemed to be a vast array of entertainment for children that kept them busy. The real bonus for us was that the sea was such a short distance away, also were the town centre and a Tesco. We didn't use the car once whilst we were there. The staff were very helpful and friendly, I would highly reccomend this site . We have already booked to go again later in the year.

Lovely site. We had a mains service pitch. Only problem was the ground had concrete drainage blocks, so was very difficult to knock pegs in.the ground was also very sandy, so when your pegs did go in they didn't stay in. site ideal for kids, as beach and hunstanton only two mins walk at the most. Sea cruises fantastic. Tescos out side the gates of site. Though if you want bread and cooked meat go early as they tend to sell out by teatime. We had a great holiday and will go again. We also dropped on fantastic weather, although too hot at times.

Just as I think camp sites can't any more expensive - they do. Searle's charged £24.00 for one night. But then they didn't have many empty pitches, perhaps because you get a lot for your money. This is an ideal site for children and for adults who want to be entertained. On a pre-peak season Sunday night, they had music and singers in two bars, kids' discos and games. According to the list we were given at reception, they had a full range of events and activities all day and evening Friday, Saturday and Sunday - and most of it was free. So I guess that's what we paid for, whether we wanted it or not. But no real ale in the Mariner's Bar (adults only). We couldn't get in the other bar; it was full of kids having a whale of a time - the entertainers and helpers were really working well. The pitches are excellent. We had grey water drains, drinking water taps and hook-up on a perfectly level hard standing. And the pitch was very easily accessible. Admittedly we had to drive through the statics to get to the touring pitches, but the roadways are wide enough. And they have a motor-home dump point The food from the Plaza take-away was cheap.Yes - very cheap! The shop is almost a supermarket, certainly the largest I've ever seen on a camp site. It's probably a little more expensive than the town superstore, but then you can lug heavy bags from Tesco if you want. Location is great. The site is almost on the beach and is only a few minutes walk from town. The shower blocks were among the cleanest I've seen and everything was in great condition. This was our second visit. We'll go again when my boat comes in

We found this site very good though it was mid September. The shower block was great very clean, under floor heating and radio on constantly. Our pich was very spacious. The dog run could have been bigger but we were only a stones through from the beach. The entertainment was the usual, camp stuff great for kids plenty of play areas. Adult bars as well as family. Must mention the Country Club-Golf course, bowls, resturant, fishing lake. All very relaxing. Usual fish and chips on site but had a lovely take away chinese on site. All in all would visit again.

August 2005 We were in the area called the Stables, which seemed like an afterthought and I would not really call it a campsite. Whilst the pitches are well marked and big enough for a family tent and a car, the toilet block was well past its sell-by date and 3 sinks for washing-up for a field full of campers was a joke. Also, if it windy, the site is very exposed and many people had their gazebos blown away. The swimming pool and leisure facilities were good and our kids (7&5)loved the evening entertainment, but it was not our cup of tea.
