August 2005 I have toured alot of norfolk this year and this has to be the most dissapointing site i have been to. Having cost just shy of £200 for a week me and my family found the pitches very small an arms width between us and next pitch, Toilets were not up to a usual clean standard, and water points were dirty and being used for alot more than just filling up your water!
On the plus for this site the pool facilities were good if not extreemly busy due to peak season, and good entertainment. On site shop was well equipped if not a bit on the expensive side. Tescos a stones throw away and you would be better of using it. Me and my family will not be returning to searles.

August 2005 Just returned from a week in a static and loved the place. Facilities excellent and the atmosphere was really relaxed, you'd never know it was so big. I think that's because it is still family owned and run and everyone really cares. Looked around the camping and touring site and was very jealous. THere's a lovely touring bit surrounding a BBQ area and kids play area, with camping super pitches a few yards away - that's where we're headed next and cannot wait. Take a trip on the Wash Monster, great fun and educational.

July 2005 A lovely clean and tidy site. Saw some great entertainment. Tennis courts, bowling, golf its all there.Indoor swimming pool warm, altough a bit on the small side for peak time. I wasn't brave enough to try the outdoor pool but it looked nice. One warning if you want to see the clubs entertainment be at the club for 6.30pm to get a table and seat. I put this down to being peak time and it was extremely busy, but this is the only club if you have kids. We will definitely go back.

July 2005 My first time camping and wow feel I was quite spoilt with this site and that any other site has its work cut out to compete!
Everything was so clean, plenty of toilets and shower blocks dotted around the site with electricity points for your own hairdryer etc although there was one hairdryer supplied per block. Each pitch was hedged in so you had privacy plus ample lighting at night. Your also right next to the beach!!!
The site had its own launderette, gym, indoor and outdoor pool (with plume), a well stocked shop with everything from food, toiletries, newspapers and camping supplies plus ice blocks for hire(however it did tend to shut early), fish n chip shop, hair n beauty salon, a hire shop for bikes/sun loungers etc, mini arcade, internet access, restaurant plus a food court where we could get chinese, pizza and other bits n pieces (so recommend the pizza and chinese) and a little mini bar. The site also its own little land train that took you out and about.
It also had a entertainment club/bar with full programe of events every night!
My only gripe (and only a tiny one) is that its very children friendly (obviously good for many families) but that the club shuts early (about 11.30pm).
I have to mention two other little points, one good, one slightly bad and thats that being Norfolk, you are right on top of an RAF base and the jets fly over during the day which is quite noisy, however you should be out and about enjoying yourself and not sitting around the site ha ha.
The other thing I have to mention is that you will have visitors :-) loads of ducks potter around the site and their almost tame, which I found adds so much charm to the site !!
Would happily go back or recommend this site.

June 2005 My first time camping and we could not of picked a better resort to start with. We had a great time, we stayed in the "Hedges" with electric hook-up fri and sat £37. The toilet and shower blocks were kept very clean. The on-site entertainment was ok although we did not rate the family restaurant very highly. We did not have time to use all the facilities but maybe next time we will. Overall great experience

May 2005 Despite the very windy weather, my husband and I really enjoyed our time here. Camping cost us £83 for 8 nights and that included use of the pool, sauna and jacuzi at ANY TIME during our stay. The camp itself was spotless, especially the toilet blocks and there are regular vehicle patrols made. The entertainment on was also very good considering it was early in the season with lots to do both during the day and at night. You get the impresion that during July & August, this place would be heaving and we will most definately be comming again

March 2005 Just returned from Searles after a 1 week break (half term) this was my 5th visit and have to say, this is still my families favourite. Because of high winds I was not able to put my awning up, I mentioned this in passing whilst talking to one of the receptionists and she refunded me my money, this is typical of the excellent service offered by this site, we shall be going again later in the year. It will be interesting to see what the new leisure complex will look like.

May 2004 Have been coming here for short breaks and some holidays for more years than i care to remember. Still find that this is our number one site, and the one by which we judge all others, (poor them). Great pitches, especially the "super pitches" which we always use. Facilities also great and do not have to use them if we just want a quiet break. It is possible to arrive in the car and then not use it again until leaving, as the town and beach are all within walking distance. However there are many places to visit within a short drive. After 3 years of holidays across the country we are spending Whitsun week and our Summer holiday here nextyear, as we like it so much.

August 2004 Just got back from a fab weeks holiday here in our new trailer tent. A brilliant site with loads to do and not too expensive either, plots all separated by your own personal hedge, which makes it private if you want it. The toilets and showers were fantastic with plenty of them all clean and loads of hot water. On site entertainment in the evening was very good with plenty to keep kids amused. The only downfall I'd say is the ground where we were was very hard and little grass so glad we were in a trailer tent. All in all a brilliant site highly recommend it and will be returning next season.

August 2003 Still our favourite site. Suited to all age groups. We loved the open space of the overflow field. It was all kept spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the pantomime. The beach was very close if a little untidy. We have four children of all ages. We managed to keep them all occupied with swimming, tennis, colouring competitions, ball games and rides on the sea front. The shop was well stocked. Always something available to eat if you dont want to cook.
