August 2004 We are relatively new to caravanning and this was our first large caravan park holiday. I have to say that we as a young family thoroughly enjoyed it. The site itself was fantastic, very familly orientated. The pools (indoor and outdoor) were excellent and facilities very clean. I personally didn't have any problems with the showers (must have had the good one)!!
The club house did get very busy and seats were hard to find but the entertainment was good and the children loved it. The beach was only a couple of minutes walk and the prom had all the usual seaside attractions if you wanted them.
I would definately recommend this site to anyone who, like us, are just starting out. The site has everything to offer, the staff are friendly and helpful. We shall definately be returning.

August 2004 Just got back from a great week at Searles. We were in a tent on the Stables field which offers plenty of room for the tent and if as us you were with family in a 2nd tent then they can be pitched together. Toilet & showers excelent standard of clenliness. OK so we had a bit of rain but there is plenty to do, indoor swimming pool club house (grandkids) enjoyed the kids show with sidney, leo & cherry. One small criticism, the bins need to be emptied a bit more often as the rubbish by tuesday was knee high and stinking.

June 2004 We have just spent a lovely week at Searles, yes the showers are frustrating, but clean! We were on a super pitch which apart from the ants was very good, 2 minutes walk to the beach, where you could walk into Hunstanton, it took about 10 minutes steady walk along the prom. The club was ok about the same as most sites. We tried the fish and chip shop one night and it was nice. We would return for another holiday.

May 2004 Just had a weekend at Searles in a static but thoroughly enjoyed the site even though not open fully until Spring Bank. I looked round the tent and touring site and spoke to people there and they said that the pitches and facilities were excellent The entertainment for the family is good, adult only bar after 6-30pm, indoor swimming pool plus outdoor one for summer season. Two good restaurants, chippy, supermarket, childrens play area, onsite golf course and fishing, land train to take you in Hunstanton, funfair on sea front. All in all good family site and we will be returning in tent next time.

April 2004 Excellent site, very family orientated. Toilet facilities cleaned several times a day, extremely clean. Pitches nice and flat although quite close together but a good size for big tent, car and trailer. Good shop, chippy and general facilities. Clubhouse (price included in pitch fee) provides great entertainment for the kids and drinks prices not too bad either. All in all a great site, clean and friendly.

Easter 2004 Had a lovely time over easter. Site was ok one or two things let it down.
The showers we used were hot but not very powerful, the water dribbled down the wall so you were head butting the wall to wash your hair. We were on a super pitch which was great but other pitches were rather close together and separated by hedges. Thats fine if you're on your own but if you want to get together as a group its difficult to bbq all together. Club house was very busy sat night we couldn't get a seat, its a case of getting in there early.

August 2003 Searles is a super place to stay, I have taken my grandchildren there for several holidays in my tourer and we always have great fun, lovely pools, sea on your doorstep (well not quite), fish and chips, easy walk or ride on the little train into Hunstanton. The kids will love it!

August 2003 I can't fault the facilities on this site. Clubhouse, fish & chips, laundrette, hire shop and small supermarket. Toilets/showers were always clean & tidy. The beach is only a 2 or 3 hundred yard walk and theres a Tesco almost right outside the gate.
The only thing that let this site down was the size of the pitches. Ours was bigger than most, and we were a bit cramped with tent, trailer and car, some other people looked very cramped indeed. If you've got a smaller tent you would be O.K, otherwise check what size pitch you're getting when booking.

August 2003 Found site to be very well run staff very helpful and friendly and alway`s accessible. Toilet and shower blocks had a good standard of hygiene and were well maintained and serviced. Site amenities well run and supervised, pool areas well maintained and clean with changing areas that were just about adequate. We were staying in the overspill camping ground and this proved very handy for the beach which was 150 yds away although about 500 yds from the main centre beach attractions. On the down side I found the fishing lake to be overpriced and overstocked and with other cheaper day tickets in the local area this will be another option for the angler. The lake to my mind is about 18" to two feet short of depth and about 18 months away from achieving what I think the site requires to make fishing it worthwhile. All in all an excellent family site with plenty to entertain all ages and we will certainly be going back in the next two or three years

july/august 03 Just got back from searles last week and had a brilliant time. Its a realy nice site. However would advise people with children to ask to be put near the toilet block because were we were in the paddock it was quite far away, nightmare at two in the morning!!!. Entertainment was good in the childrens area, there was adult entertainment in there after 9.30 which was well worth seeing! bit risky if you have kids though they can get a bit rude!. Entertainment in the mariners bar was not to our taste, would say it was for older people. Not many pubs in Hunstanton itself but lots to do in Kings Lynn ( the thai resturant was fantastic ). Also Sherringham is well worth a visit the steam train is brilliant.
