What a great little site this is ? I say little around 80 pitches but you don't feel its that big. There's a shop on site for every day essentials, toilets and showers and bath all immaculate. Plenty of water taps located very close to your pitches eg. 1 tap for 4 caravans.
The park/ swings for the kids was great and both my 6 year old and 2 cousins (5 and 3) absolutely loved them. Like I have stated there is around 80 pitches but both the play area ( not a massive area ) and the toilets / shower area were never crowded. Bearing in mind this was easter weekend and the site looked 90% full.
The staff could not do enough to keep us happy, I booked two pitches, then a week later booked a third so they moved all the pitches so we could all be together, then another week later I booked a fourth pitch and yes they moved all of our pitches again so we would all be together when we did arrive on site.
This site is definitely staying in my brochure so we can visit it again, I am trying really hard to find fault with this site but to be honest if I remember anything it would be trivial.

Very good site will visit again. Great for kids small shop on site and a park. Shower blocks very clean and showers are hot,(not too hot for kids) also a bath which comes in handy for little ones very good sized pitches.
Overall good site for long weekends away. Site also has a fish & chip van on a Saturday evening and you can order your daily newspaper from the shop.
Site is clean & tidy and well maintained
Off site there is a pizza shop, Chinese, Indian takeaway. It is about half hour drive to Scarborough if you fancy a day out, it is also close to flamingo land.

Just got back from two nights on this site. We would go back,it was well kept, clean toilets (and three bath cubicles in the ladies, very handy when you have toddlers!). Baths were a pound, showers were free. Also had a baby changing unit cubicle.
On arrival the lady in the office was lovely, a warm reception.
Theres a small shop selling a range of things from camping goods to grocerys and toys.
The park is more suited to older children than our two year old but she loved the tractor and the general space to run around.
Took us about 15-20 min to drive to Scarborough sea front.
Cost £14.50 per night with electric.
Recycling on site and plenty of bins.
Would recommend and return.

This was our 2nd time to this camp site and this time we brought our friend who have a young child and are new to caravanning. We had a nice break and the facilities were clean and well maintained and with a friendly welcome made the stay all that much better.
It is in a great location for the coastal towns of Scarborough, Whitby and Bridlington and the adventure of Dalby Forest with its walks and bike trails, there is also Pickering which is the start of the old steam railway.
The only problem we both had was that the electric hook ups kept tripping under normal use so not sure what the Amp rating is (not advertised) and we did not have this problem the first time we visited, so could have been due to a bit of damp and lack of use as we did go at the start of the season.
Over all great short break.

It was our first visit and we loved it, As you drive up the lane to site it looks lovely flowers and well kept lawns, we was made very welcome by the young lady on reception and pointed us in the direction to our pitch and was asked if we would be ok setting up.
We set off with a map and found pitch easy and it was huge and very flat. On the map is the toilet / shower block and wash rooms and was all very very clean and free, there was irons and boards and washing machines which we didn't use but others did and all seemed fine.
Great play area our son 5 and Daughter 12 thought they was great, every one on site was polite and in a happy mood and this carried on for our whole week, there was no noise at night and no drunks it was a well run site. Although it's about 15 mins walk to nearest pub and a car drive to nearest super market there is an information type office on site with loads of info about the area for things to do and there is a few take aways that deliver to the site so you can have a little drink at night and get a chinese or pizza delivered and just relax at night. We loved the place and would def go back and we are going back next yr.

My wife and I booked this site back in June based on the number of excellent reviews on this website and to be honest the camp site was actually better than our expectations already were.
The grounds are immaculately well kept, with the grass being cut at least once a week. The tent pitches are numbered up and are well spaced, flat and thankfully stone-free.
The toilet blocks were amazingly tidy too, cleaned out everyday at 11:30, free showers with unlimited hot water (6off), proper wash basins, some with private cubicles (8off) and even a private bath cubicle for £1.
We purposely avoided the the school holidays to ensure a quieter break and it certainly was quiet, plenty of other campers and caravanner but everybody was just so pleasant :o)
Got a little busier on the weekend with campers but despite the number of families and children there was still no issues or noise.
The lady who looks after the site was so helpful too and it was no problem for us to extend our 7day stay by a further 2days. Well September has seen the best weather this summer.
Must visit places include; Scarborough, Whitby, Filey, Robin Hood Bay and Pickering.
And for a lovely Sunday lunch you can't go wrong visiting the Grapes Inn just 2mile from the site on the Scarborough Road.
Just wish this site was a little closer to home as we'd be there several time a year, but will definitely be back soon though.

I have stayed at this site three times. Once in a caravan with family (girly week)and twice in a tent with my partner and some of our friends.
Good Points - clean toilets / showers (two of my stays were at busy times and I had to wait ten min for a shower, but there was plenty of hot water)
Good shop has all the little things you may have forgot to pack, decent play area. Able to take the dog.
Bad points - first time in the tent we were placed at the end of the field out the way which was great. The second time we were more in the middle and it was a more noisier (just general camp noise)and busier.
We walked to the local pub (about ten minutes away) it started to rain and they allowed us to take the dog in the snug (he fell asleep next to the fire) had a really good meal and a pleasant walk back (after the rain)plenty of car park space if you want to drive up
Good location for Pickering Steam Train, Dalby Forest and Scarborough. Also worth a look - thornton le dale (lovely little village just up the road)
Would go back

Visited this site with some friends (their 1st time camping!) and we couldn't have wished for a more enjoyable / pleasant and most important clean site to have stayed at over the weekend. Our pitch (inc EHU) was the best we have stayed on by far (and we have stayed at a few!) The ground was level, neatly kept and plenty of room between tents. The facilities include a well kept, maintained toilet/shower block with lovely hot flowing water( not like the trickle of water which we have experienced on other sites!) The site had a small shop with all the main essential needed, with friendly staff to help. There was a small playground on site for smaller children and also an grassed area for older children just outside the main entrance, for the more football / cricket fanatic! Although there were no bar or clubhouse on site, this didn't stop us having one of the most enjoyable weekends away camping and will definitely be visiting again!

We have come back from here this saturday and all I can say is fab fab fab, The kids can go out and don't need to worry about them at all. All the staff are very nice and helpful The site is very clean. The showers and toilets are also very clean. There is a shop there on the site.
It would be better for the kids if there was more for them to do. But the play area was good my 4 year old loved it. He went out in the morning and didn't want to come in again. So yes we will be going back again. Loved it so much.

Just returned from this campsite - we stayed by coincidence at the same time as the Pickering Steam Rally and the site was very very busy. However it stayed very tidy and there was no noise after 11pm, it really is a lovely rural area with no road noise. Can recommend the Cayley Arms, friendly staff and lovely food. Ideal location for the seaside resorts of Whitby, Scarborough Filey and Bridlington and the beautiful north yorkshire moors are a short drive away.
We camped on the rally field, and my only grumble is that we could smell drains intermittently, and the toilet and shower block were quite a walk away, if the rally field is regularly full it should really have maybe just a loo for the field campers.
Really good playground for those with children but there were quite a few groups of older children using it so little ones would benefit from having a parent about.
All in all not a bad campsite, but perhaps a little too busy for us that particular weekend.
