Spent 4 nights here over the bank holiday and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great playground for the kids in the centre of the site, our 2 yr old loved it and would have gladly played there all day.
Lovely clean facilities and a small shop stocking essential items, staff were friendly and helpful although the young girl serving in the shop seemed dazed and confused when I asked if they had any pedal bin liners.
Pitches are large & hardcored and have electric and water points. Overall a very nice site in a very nice area.

Came here as a second of a 2 site holiday (first was near Cambridge) and couldn't fault it.
The site is well laid out, and the welcome great and staff efficent (even when we called the owners out to a static caravan whose fire alarm was low on battery so could hear it at 11pm at night)
We were in the main site towards the outer edge as we didn't use EHU.
Shop was great, well stocked even with alcohol if you need it :)
The shower and loo blocks were very well maintained and the showers had a seat in each one with a privacy cubicle too. There was also a notice board inside the doors to both sides of the toilet block where information for local events, rallies that were due to take place (one on the weekend after we left) and what you could and couldn't run on their EHU before tripping the breaker.
The dish washing room and KP area was clean, tidy and dry with it being a whole room off the loo block. Microwave in the laundry but didn't use either of those. Small freezer in the laundry for your ice blocks if you needed to refreeze them.
The play park looked decent and there is a little information point and library shelf in the shed behind the shop.
Site is off the main road that runs to Scarborough (which we didn't visit bar the supermarket for food).
40 mins to the Park and Ride for York, 10 mins for Pickering (another supermarket) where the North Yorkshire Moors Railway terminates. A trip up to Whitby via few villages and stations that have been in film and tv is well worth the money (one family were taking the train to go to the beach and meeting the dad who had the car there to get back home)
Wish we were there longer to do other things (which I can't remember as it was over a year ago now) and would go back again

We have been regulars at this site for over 11 years. It is a beautiful site, toilet blocks are always kept immaculately clean. The staff are always friendly and polite.
The pitches are of a large size. They have a small but well stocked shop, daily newspapers can be bought Monday to Friday, and on a Sunday there is a paper van which visits the site.
I never thought I would have a gripe about this site but as from this year they no longer allow tents on the main camping area, they have kept this for caravans only, and all tents on electric have to go around the outside (hedgeside) so unfortunately this drastically reduced the amount of electric pitches available for tents.
But like I said a superb site and definitely will go for years to come (as long as we can get a pitch that is!)

Excellent site, very large flat pitches on the rally field and you can park your car next to the tent, loads of room for ball games for the kids.
Excellent wash & toilet facilities always found them to be clean and not overcrowded, enough wash basins and showers so you do not have to wait. Good playground for the kids with a good variety of things to keep them occupied for an hour or so.
My little lad particularly enjoyed playing on the old tractor. Friendly staff on site and plenty to do in the local area

We have just returned from a 4 night break here. We stayed on the hedge field pitch B, our friends were on C & D.
The site has everything to offer for children and adults of all ages. The shower and toilet facilities are very clean. The well stocked shop has flexible opening and doesn't over charge.
We had such a good time and had only booked a 3 night stay, however when we requested an extra night, the extremely friendly staff did every thing they could to accommodate us.
Fantastic place, friendly helpful staff, great facilities, clean pitches and good value.

Stayed for a weekend (fri-sat) with friends. Had a very warm welcome at reception and told there would be no one camping at either side of us, so, if we wanted to spread out we could (however pitch was a good size anyway). Toilets/showers/pot wash were always spotless & never had to queue (although site was not full). Excellent play area for children & a small field or ball games which my son made good use of! We made use of the small shop which sells all the essentials you may need. All in all an excellent site which I would definitely recommend :O)

Went here for a weekend fri-sun. This is a beautifully presented site, 5 miles from Pickering, 12 miles from Scarborough.
We stayed in the hedge field pitch B with our friends in pitch A - spacious, flat pitches, (montana 6 at the moment) but the ground can be a little uneven. There is a rally field as well if you have a huge tent. There are electric pitches available at this site but we stayed non-electric.
The facilities here are superb, the toilets, showers and pot wash were permanently clean with the toilets closed 11-12 for cleaning every day. There is a wider disabled toilet and a bath charged at £1 a go but we didn't use it. The showers a spacious with pegs and a stool and are warm. We never queued for a shower or had no hot water but I can imagine them being busy when the site is busy.
The shop stocks the essentials and more but isn't big - check opening times for shop and gas. There is no clubhouse on site but pubs can be found a short drive away if that's you're thing.
The playground has a variety of apparatus and kept the kids amused for hours.
A mobile fish and chip calls on Saturdays and Mondays.
Generally the camp was quiet but this is early season and we've been before when it was much busier and stopped in the rally field. There really is nothing negative to say about this site. It really is a great site, well presented and well looked after and we would have no problem visiting yet again.

This was our first ever camping experience and we loved it. The site was very welcoming, the staff were polite and the facilities were excellent. Toilets & showers were clean & warm and bins were emptied regularly.
We were on the rally field (NHU) which is huge and there was lots of space for the kids to play without bothering anybody. There is a small shop on site which supplies basics and a pub just at the top of the lane. I would recommend this site and will definitely go back again.

We booked at the last minute due to the great weather forecast and we are so glad we did.
This is a great site. We were on the rally field without EHU. All the tents were around the edge so we lots of space as the pitch sizes are huge. We were at the bottom of the field so sheltered by the banking. The site is clean and has a relaxed feel about it.
The toilets and showers were great and even had heating which was a bonus as the nights were a bit cold. The dog walk is the best we have seen on any of the campsites we have visited.
There is a shop selling the basics and all the staff were friendly.
The playground is suited for small children but ours were happy playing on the rally field with a ball and a cricket set.
We enjoyed our stay and will be going back.

We have been coming to this site on and off for the last 22 years, we first came when our children were very young and they loved the playground, we now come on our own with our dogs and they love the dog walk and the little stream; the site caters for all.
The grounds, wash area and toilets have always been immaculate and the staff friendly and helpful.
Lovely countryside with loads to do nearby and as the site is just off the main road there is no traffic noise.
You will not be disappointed whether you are camping or caravanning.
