If you visited this site last week you might remember me. I was the person who followed their dog to the beach, the footpaths, the woods. Etc! I was also the person with a disabled husband on a mobility scooter and I was smiling, so very relaxed. Such a contrast to other sites. This is without doubt the most customer and environmentally friendly site I have ever visited. Thank you so very much for a great holiday and we cannot wait to come again. Loved every minute of our stay.

A lovely site, very family friendly.
Enjoyed drinking my tea in the morning and watching the alpacas and chickens in the adjacent field. Facilities were clean, private and spacious.
Loved the option of preordering bread, milk and other essentials the day before to be delivered to campsite.
Staff welcoming and pitches excellent. Will definitely book again.

This is a great campsite. Very friendly staff, clean and very well maintained. The location is great with Coombe Martin beach just 5 mins walk and Woolacombe beach 30 mins drive. The coastal path walk from the campsite to Ilfracombe has lovely views. We had a great time, thank you to all the staff

We have just returned from a lovely week at Newberry Valley. We have large tent and stayed on a premier pitch. The pitch was spacious, level and flat and the tent pegs went in easily. The water and electricity were on the pitch. The picnic table was really useful. The site was quiet and staff were helpful and friendly. The toilet block was superb with individual bathrooms with toilet, sink and shower (or bath). Free hot water and showers. We never had to wait to use the showers or toilets. There were ample sinks for washing up with plenty of space around them. We did not use the laundry room but it looked good. The children's play area was well-maintained and looked good. We had lovely walk around the fishing lake at dusk watching the bats - amazing. The walk into town took about ten minutes along the footpath opposite the site. We had nice meal at the Dolphin pub (beer garden), bought a couple of ice creams, some camping supplies and groceries. On other days we drove to Ilfracombe and took the ferry to Lundy, have a day out in Barnstaple, cycled the Tarka Trail from Barnstaple and spent some time on the beach at Woolacombe.

Had a wonderful time at Newberry Valley in July. The pitches were roomy and the picnic table a valuable extra for those of us travelling from abroad and not able to bring chairs. The water and electric hook up points per premium pitch made life very easy. The facilities are ideal for young families - not having to shower children in a small cubicle and feed coins into a meter like many other camp sites, and having toilet and wash basin in the same room very handy for young ones. There was plenty of hot water and the toilet blocks were kept clean, even when the site got busy towards the end of our stay. The 4 washing machines and 4 tumble driers were also a great asset and reasonable charges for use.
I camped with my 7 year old and had a pitch at the far end of the campsite. Whilst nice and secluded it was a long walk from the facilities but once our friends arrived a few days after us, the friendly staff allowed us to repitch closer to the facilities and our friends. The children loved the play park, and many had bikes they could safely cycle through the campsite. The alpacas were popular too!
Combe Martin is a lovely little village with everything you need for a day on the beach, and the short walk from campsite to the beach along the track across the road was very handy. We used the Tesco at Ilfracombe for main food shops but the stores in the village were handy for the odd extra item. The ice cream and sweet shop in Combe Martin was highly rated by my daughter! The beach is fantastic at low tide with endless rock pools to explore, but also with safe swimming in the sandy areas. I highly recommend Newberry Valley for families. The area has many attractions for children of all ages and the beach at Woolacombe is great for older children who are more surf focused.
Thank you for a lovely stay, we'll be back!

Wonderful site. Stayed for 4 nights and it was very clean and toilet and shower blocks where spotless. Very well looked after site. Staff brilliant and I will be going back there again. 5 minute walk to the beach which was perfect with a 5 year old who loves the beach. 10 out of 10 for the site

Booked this site via the web, looked at the other reviews and we must say we weren't disappointed, from the reception to being seen to our pitch the service is excellent. The pitches are very large compared to other sites, exceptionally clean and tidy. The showers and toilets are second to none, each being a big individual room with everything you need, again all kept very clean and in excellent condition.
The other facilities we didn't use but there were plenty of washing machines, driers, even and ironing board and iron for your use, along with hairdryers etc. Along with the standard dish washing, toilet / waste emptying etc.
The site was quite and relaxed, everyone friendly, nice to say good morning to people and get a friendly reply back.
Only a few minutes walk from the centre of Combe Martin and a short ride to Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, Barnstable, Bideford, Instow etc there's loads to visit making it an ideal base for your visit to the area.
We don't really make reviews but thought this site was well worth the effort, an excellent park, non intrusive people who own / run it but they are there if you need them
Highly recommended

We stayed at Newberry Valley for two weeks in late June/early July 2016 and loved the site. Arranged along the bottom of a narrow valley on three terraces. I was concerned it might prove to be a waterlogged site but far from it. It is well drained and despite most days being rainy the pitch remained free from puddles and soggy grass. The site is well managed, attractive and eco-friendly. It is quiet except for the sound of sheep and cattle in the fields. It has a fishing lake, chickens guarded by alpacas, and a children's play area. The facilities are excellent and well maintained. Yes, everyone talks about the shower rooms, bathroom etc. We agree they are brilliant. WiFi was good with a strong signal across much of the site. We had a good tv signal (Freeview)from the Combe Martin transmitter only a couple of miles away. Fresh bread, cakes and meat orders are available on site, although the village is an easy walk away. Combe Martin has a long and often narrow high street which is not for the faint-hearted when towing a caravan at busy times. At peak times it may be better approached from the west. We got through without problem on a Sunday morning. The site is convenient for access to many places of interest on the North Devon coast and its hinterland. We also visited Lundy Island on a day trip from Ilfracombe.
We really loved it all despite the wet weather and agreed that Newberry Valley site would be on our list of site deserving a return visit. Finally I must add a thank you to the staff who helped us out when we arrived with a caravan problem. Their assistance and advice helped us acquire a spare part within an hour of arrival and be pitched and running again very quickly.

Excellent campsite, very well run, excellent warden, top toilet/shower/bathroom/wash-up facilities that are spotlessly clean and well maintained. Plenty of room (we had a classic motorhome pitch) and very peaceful. Excellent location for Combe Martin and for us as a cycling base for the area
