Did an overnight stay at this site, friendly and helpful staff, clean toilets and the site is spotless, weather was not so great for our stay but still enjoyable. Walking distance from the town where there are a couple of nice pubs. Its a steep climb back to the site after the pub so maybe one to consider if your not so mobile.

We originally booked 3 nights and then stayed and extra night over the Easter bank holiday weekend due to the pretty site and drastic improvement in the weather.

Pitches are well spaced out with the majority of them having fresh water and drainage on the pitch. We arrived after a heavy downpour and the grass pitch wasn't waterlogged so obviously well drained.

We took some lovely walks which are all situated nearby, the path to Coombe Martin beach is located directly opposite the entrance to the campsite and if you turn left off this path you can take the coastal path. We walked along the coastal path as far as Hele, you need to have a reasonable level of fitness and some good walking boots as going up and down the coastal cliffs can be quite arduous but the views are spectacular!

The campsite was friendly with the wardens patrolling regularly, everything was well maintained and the bathrooms were spotless. The only negative I could find was that I used the showers one evening and the water pressure wasn't very good and I was standing under more of a dribble than a downpour, however this didn't really affect me as we usually use the shower in our motorhome.

All in all, lovely site, lovely wardens, lovely fellow campers and I have to disagree with some other posts on here in that I didn't find it snooty at all, and we're common as muck haha! We will definitely be back.

Have just returned from Newberry Valley. The site was easy to find with good roads all the way. The staff were very friendly with a warden to show you to your pitch. We treated ourselves to a premium (serviced ) pitch which was more than adequate and also came with your own picnic table - shame the weather wasn't warm enough to use it! There was a lovely woodland walk where you could let the dog off the lead, the village was only a 10 min walk away with a few dog friendly pubs and beaches. Great toilet block with large shower rooms. Would recommend The Olde Globe pub in Berrynabor (less then 10 min drive away and also dog friendly), don't be put off by the outside it had plenty of character and lovely food. Would return to this site in the future.

Just had a long weekend down at this lovely site. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Site was very clean and well presented. We liked the amenities block with the individual bath/shower rooms. Shops and pubs a short walk as well as the coastal path and beach. Good size pitch for our camper van and a nice grass area to place the awning. Great area to walk and see the views. Overall very happy and many thanks to all and we look to another visit.

A lovely site with beautiful views, but felt rather regimented. Although we had booked a large pitch with hard standing, the caravan was on the hard standing while we were walking in quite boggy, muddy grass. Difficult to get us and the dogs from car to caravan without having muddy feet. Great site for dog owners with good off-lead exercise areas adjacent. Frustrating to find barriers locked at 11 pm. Had a long walk to caravan after arriving back late unintentionally. Combe Martin disappointingly run down.

A lovely site! great choice of pitches; large, small, hard standing or grass. Great facilities although might be tested when site is busy although I understand there are plans to build a 2nd washroom facility which will resolve this. The facilities are a mix of shower rooms which are wet room style and include toilet and sink, washrooms which do not have the shower and there is even a bathroom. Great washing up room, and laundry area which includes an ironing facility.

The site was about a third full during our stay and it was beautifully quiet. There are lovely views, numerous walks and even a fishing lake! For those with families there are no playground facilities but go for a walk instead!

Combe Martin is about half a mile down the hill and there is a small bay less than 5 minutes walk from the site and easy access to the Coast Path - we walked from the site to Ilfracombe - about 5 miles and caught the 301 bus back. Our Retriever was allowed on the bus at no charge!

This has to be one of the nicest sites we have visited!

We were very disappointed with the pitch we were allocated. Had to reverse down a rubble track bordered by rusty crash barriers onto the pitch. The toilet block was divided into separate shower rooms, half of which were locked shut for most of the time creating queues. The showers were lukewarm, the underfloor heating was barely felt. The hot water & heating is supplied by a wood burning boiler which pummelled out acrid smoke the whole time we were there. On one evening we were told in no uncertain terms to make less noise by not laughing & joking at 9. 15 pm in our awning. When queried who was asking we were told in a threatening manner the Warden & did we want to make something of it. Not my idea of a £40 a night pitch. The entrance to the park is half way up a steep hill & on a bend. The local pubs are quite good if you can face the trek down the hill, part way with no footpath. Stayed at a lot better for a lot less.

This site was very clean and tidy, deceptively large and all in very good order.

The toilet block was superb, modern clean and large but odd in that you had your own bathroom, each bathroom had its own sink, toilet and shower !

So if you needed a tinkle you occupied a whole bathroom.

The little shop was perfect for the things you always forget and it had a lovely lake to fish in.

10. 00pm ish we were in darkness as all the site lights were out so was not ideal when walking the Dog, some pitches had lights but our area had nothing.

We felt overall the site was a little regimented but that's only our opinion.

Access to C. Martin was easy and quick either by road or a little track straight to the gravel cove.

Would we return, no. Only no because C. Martin was very run down, not the site itself which was nice.

Excellent site, highly recommended, very friendly, helpful staff. Site facilities are amazing, very little to add to what has already been said. We loved Combe Martin and the surrounding area, it's so picturesque! We enjoyed walking the coastal path with all it's incredible viewpoints. Local shops and pubs within short walking distance for motorhome uses. We will definitely add it to our list of best sites.

Just returned from 2 week holiday at newberry valley park what a relaxed and peaceful holiday we had. The site is fantastic very clean well kept pitches which are large and you not overlooked. The facilities are spotless and cleaning thoroughly, the staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough to help you. The site is in a lovely location near the village of combe martin and in a lovely setting in a valley with sheep and cattle in the fields and lots of wildlife about too. Would certainly go back.
