Arrived and went straight to reception, was pleased with the warm, friendly way we were spoken to and helped with everything. As it was our first time visiting. Our pitch was on a slight slope,no problem it didn't bother us. We were so impressed with the facilities, always been cleaned everytime we seemed to look the toilets were been cleaned even at 10oclock at night. My daughter enjoyed the play area as we had our tent near,it was brilliant. We were glad that at 11oclock we could not hear anyone especially radios, shouting etc it was as near silent as you could get. We definitely will be going back as we were really impressed with the standard, also the price was good especially for the standard of the camp site.

Stayed for a long weekend, had work to do so paid for wifi £5 for 3 days,we were on top site near reception so wifi connection was hit and miss ( router is on top of toilet block ) think leaves on trees interfered with signal, got work done so no real problem.

Staff here are a credit,so professional and friendly can not do enough for you.

Pitch sizes are large we had a huge corner plot pitch 10 could have fitted 2 caravans plus awnings on this one.

Walks are just brilliant for dogs, mile after mile of off - lead walking,we bought a set of 8 walks from the shop on site for £2 really good value, would however use them in conjunction with an ordnance survey map as some directions a bit confusing !

Osmotherley is a gem of a village, lovely cottages, 3 pubs within 10 paces of each other ( good for sat night pub crawl !)and only 15 min walk from site.

Great site, great location and only 1 hour for us door to door, just perfect.

Lovely site, excellent facilities. Quite large but we were allocated a nice 'quiet' area, pitch F7. Good position for walks, Cleveland Way, Lyke Wake Walk (we did it in 16 hours last year) etc and Osmotherley is a village with good pubs The Queen Catherine Hotel is good for food and you can take your dog in and a Fish & Chip shop! We will be back again.

Our 'secret getaway', we love this site, Spacious pitches in lovely surroundings. Immaculate toilets /showers.F riendly helpful staff. The village is a short walk away with 3 pubs, chippie and shop. Plenty of lovely walks from the site, the woodland walk to Cod Beck is a regular for us and the dog.

We have left our caravan for 6 weeks there under the Summer storage scheme, saves petrol,we return at the weekend.

Nice central site for moors and dales.

My secret is out ! its perfect.

I went for two nights here ( and stayed for just one, read on.), following reviews I had read, the kids were with relatives and it was our wedding anniversary, and seemed like the ideal site for a quiet getaway.

All the facilities are spotless, the shop has a very limited selection of (rather overpriced, split 'multi-pack') items. We had booked a pitch in the 'quiet' area supposedly designed for couples to be a bit further away from the small park.

Upon pitching up and initially being impressed with the appearance of the area, other large groups, all with dogs and kids, set up camp in the same small field. Kids shouting, dogs barking, radios playing, people getting drunk, swearing and generally being obnoxious into the early hours hardly constitutes a quiet area. Our concerns were raised with a lady in the shop, who's apparent apathy to our situation was obvious, and proceeded to state the fact our leaving was our decision.

This was a fantastic site - well set out, and felt very sheltered on our pitch. Pitches are numbered, and a good size. Check in was friendly and easy.

Thought the price was pretty steep at £21 per night for a family tent but - could not fault anything at all on this site.

Facilities were spotless - they were constantly being cleaned - we went in at 11pm and the floors were being mopped. Family bathroom looked lovely, and our 3 year old was very keen to have a bath in there.

Playground was just enough to keep them entertained for half an hour here and there. Nowhere really to play ball games, but this didn't matter.

After 10.30pm we couldn't hear a peep apart from the local wildlife - very peaceful.

We drove the short way to Sheepwash for an icecream and a walk - through the woods to cod beck reservoir - beautiful scenery - loved it.

We would definitely visit this site again, however not as often we would like because of the price.

Couldn't agreed more with all the positive points, but. It would be perfect if there is hedge between the pitches, depends on location, some pitch just a bit too close, pitch number 14 (I think) is surrounded by about 10 neighbours, we asked to change and there was no problem at all, it would make the experience quite different if we stayed put.

The village is lovely to walk around, the reservoir remind me of Scotland, it's very peaceful and beautiful, you could walk round it.

This has to be one of the best sites around. The toilet block adds new meaning to the word 'clean' - they even have flowers growing in there!

The site is interesting too - on two or three levels, with an 'old quarry' type feel. In addition, there are various walks from the site and a guide which can be purchased in the shop, will give you full details. Suffice to say, the best leads you to a wonderful reservoir, complete with wildlife.

Back to the site itself, there are hard standings aplenty and the stream through the middle really makes it special. Osmotherly meanwhile, is just a 5 to 10 minute walk away, complete with a good shop and choice of pubs.

Downside - can't really think of any. The owners are friendly and very approachable, the pricing structure reasonable.

Excellent site, very friendly owners and there is a warden on site 24 hours a day in a caravan so this is reassuring.

Lovely and quiet site with a stream running through it and very good facilities. The shower blocks are spotless and warm with hot showers and fresh flowers as well as a free hair dryer in the ladies.

Great walk to Cod Beck Reservoir - it takes about 15 minutes from the site and is breathtaking. The village of Osmotherley is 20 minute or so walk (up and down hill) and has a well stocked village shop and pub as well as a little walking shop.

It was quite wet when we got there and the owners were very accommodating about us changing pitches and deciding not to have electric hook up. Little camp shop - open 9-5.30pm that sells bread milk, cereal, toiletries etc and of course bacon and eggs! There are also sweets and little toys for children.Good value.

Northallerton is about 20 mins drive away and has an excellent selection of high street shops and restaurants. We will definitely return here.

I loved the site. The playground looked a bit boring though so I didn't spend much of our 4 night holiday there. I went with my sister, my parents and our Springer Spaniel, Rommel.

I was glad the park had Wi-Fi but was expecting it to be free! We paid £5 for 3 days of internet. I was shocked at the cleanliness of the toilets / showers. They were immaculate! With fresh flowers (daffodils in spring!) they were better standard than most normal family bathrooms!

I was annoyed my mobile had 'No Network Connection' and was even more dishearted that the pay phone was 20p for 15 seconds! The Stream was very exciting there was some very interesting frog spawn! The nearby town of Osmotherly was a very short drive away but I was quite disappointed the chip shop was closed. We were pitched up next to the toilets but I was not annoyed by smells.
