The site is in a picturesque location near woodland and a reservoir nearby. Osmotherley is quite a twee village with several pubs. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I've stayed on a lot of campsites over the years, mostly in a tent, when our kids were little and I found this site a bit cramped and noisy. Children were running about en masse screaming until late and the adjacent pitch below had the radio blaring out football commentary for 2 hours in the afternoon.
For a tent pitch I thought it was quite expensive but the location does command a premium if you make use of the village. The site is more geared up to 'vaners and motorhomes really.
If you time your visit to a quieter time it would be very pleasant.
The toilet/shower blocks were functional, well maintained and very clean.

Beautiful site with spotlessly clean facilities.
We had a super pitch which was in a quiet sunny area, spacious and level. Great added bonus having an elsan point on pitch 👍🏽
10 mins walk down into Osmotherley village where you’ll find 3 lovely pubs (dog friendly) and a village store.
We have been wanting to visit for a long time and we will definitely be back.

Very nice site, good level hard standing pitch and facilities are one of best I’ve seen.
The site has a mixture of tents caravans and motorhome with a few static caravans as well, there is a drive over grate for M/H waste. There is a well stocked shop on site as well.
Osmotherly is around a 10 minute walk, pavement all the way, it has 3 dog friendly public houses all do food.
There are some pleasant walks to be had, you can walk round the reservoir take about an hour, and some nice cycling routes nearby as well

Lovely site. Great facilities, the toilets and showers were cleaned generally. Our pitches were right next to the footie pitch which was a big hit with our boys.
Two small play areas for the younger kids and sandpit, also a stream running through to play in.
Little shop stocked all the essentials at reasonable prices and very helpful staff.
10 min walk to the village. Good site.

This was our first visit to Cote Ghyll and it was a beautiful site with some wonderful scenery.
The pitches were hard standing with fresh water very close.
The shower block was very modern and extremely clean. The site itself was set on different levels amongst static caravans and the residents were very friendly.
We had our two dog's with us, and it was very dog friendly and the walk around the reservoir next door to the site was well worth the visit.
Food was available, but I cannot comment as I didn't use the facility.
We can not fault the site, the only downside was the approach road to the site is very narrow, with cars parked down one side of a two lane road making it a bit of a nightmare if traffic is coming towards you and it seems like a long hill when your stop start all the way while towing. Just to let the public know, however the site made up for it.
There's a pub and a fish and chip shop in the local village.

Stayed one night in the middle of the school holidays, was very busy site.
Very family orientated with a nice play area for children.
Showers/ toilets kept clean and tidy with two blocks to choose from.
Food available all week during school holidays but only on Friday and Saturday other times. We managed to order some (most options were out of stock) ours was over cooked but edible.

A really lovely site which is well kept and friendly.
There are numerous walks from the site for all abilities and is central to local places of interest.
There is food available a short walk into the village, in the local pubs or café.
Good for little ones with a football field and play areas.
Toilet and shower facilities are very good and well maintained.
Will be back.

Excellent large site with 2 play areas, restaurant on site offering take out food(can be busy at peak times)
A very clean and well run site with large pitches and very friendly campers.
The access road through Osmotherley is narrow and does have cars parked up, so care is needed.
Will be visiting again very soon
