Well what can we say that has not been said before in the reviews of this site.
All we can think of is that if we could afford it we would like to buy it!
Well set out, well run, well situated and apparently well liked by everyone.
A perfect gem at a very reasonable price for both family's with or without children! (decent traditional play area)
Will we be returning again? you can bet your life we will be. We loved it and so did our two children.

I rang a couple of other sites and got no answer so the third one was this one. The owner sounded a bit gruff and I thought, oh dear not sure about this but we had a warm welcome. They helped unhitch the caravan and pulled it straight and told us where everything was. He also went and got a key for the disabled loo, told us of the information shed and where a couple of good food pubs were.
Well I can say it was third time lucky because this site is lovely. We were on the adults only section but there were no kids about any way and it was lovely and quiet. There seemed to be only a couple of touring vans and campers there at the time as most were seasonal vans although there are plenty of touring pitches and it seemed they where all hard standing. I used the disabled loo's but also peeked into the ladies and every where was spotless. Hair drier in the ladies but not in the disabled loo but I have my own in the van any way. The gardens are tidy and Alan and Pat were mowing the grass or tidying the garden whilst we were there. It was also easy to find as when you come off either of the main roads there is a caravan sign, in fact it's the easiest one we have had to find.
We visited Shrewsbury a couple of times. If you have a Blue Badge you have to pay in all the car parks which we found we had to in all the other towns we visited. We went to a pub called Hand and Diamond not far from the site and off the A458 - you will have to ask Alan where it is because I cannot remember the name of he village. We had two steaks, chips, mushrooms, tomato and onion rings at £18. 99 but the good news is it was buy one get one free between 6. 00pm and 7. 30pm. Went to Welshpool but not much there if the steam train is not running. The tourist board told us to visit Church Sutton as it was lke Austria. Well no it isn't and there's no much the either. Absolutely loved Ludlow. It has a wearth of Tudor buildings, a castle, tea rooms and a beautiful river. One thing that spoils it is the Tesco store which I know from a TV programme that non of the locals wanted. You pass beautiful, Georgian, Edwardian, Victorian and Medieval buildings and there sits Tesco. It's such a shame.
If we come back to the area we will use this site again. Oh and another thing, between 3rd June and 28th June and 2nd September and 25th October, Alan and Pat offer a special price of one night free if you stay between Monday and Friday.
On this trip we have clocked up 6 weeks away from home and every site has been good. This was a lovely site to end our holiday on.

We have stayed at Cartref several times and the welcome is always warm!
This site is owned by caravanners who have invested a lot of hard work into making this site just the way caravanners want a site to be!
Over the past few years we have seen the hedges and landscaping take shape and the site is now beautiful!
The toilet block is always spotless!
We feel at home here even got sheep in the field over the fence just like at home in Wales!
Close to Shrewsbury and all the other places to visit in Shropshire yet this site is in a beautiful peaceful setting.
If I could I would give this site 100 out of 10!

Excellent site.
Met by Alan on arrival who showed us to our pitch and after reversing and parking the caravan Alan had it unhitched before I had even got out of the car. Really helpful.
The pitches are spacious for caravan, awning and car. Pitches separated by little hedges which is nice. Pitches are level with electric, 16amps. No extra fees for awnings.
Toilet block was always immaculate. Showers are free with plenty of instant hot water.
Water points, chemical disposal and waste water disposal are convenient.
There is a washing machine on site at a cost of £2. 00.
The site caters for tents, trailer tents, caravans and motor homes.
The site is divided into a family half and an adults only half.
The site gardens are quite nice and there is a children's play park in the adjacent field.
Very quiet and convenient for Shrewsbury and other local attractions.
Their is a hut with an abundance of pamphlets on local places of interest and other local information.
We have already booked again for June.

Very well kept site. Lovely flower beds. Nice big pitches, clean loos, friendly owners etc. It's also a great feature that if the pitch has no one booked on after you, you can pay to stay later in the day. The only thing we found being walkers, was that the paths and stiles in the immediate area are quite over grown and difficult to walk without fighting with farmers and brambles. Had a lovely weekend though and it's very well placed for lots of sight seeing and visiting in the area.

Just spent a very relaxing week here. We chose the adult only area.
The toilet block was spotless every day. All the pitches have free electric hook up. No charge for the dog or the awning. Superb dog walk in an adjoining field with a football pitch and playground for the kids.
The owners were very helpful and always around with ideas of things to do.
The shed full of leaflets with local pubs and activities was a very useful feature.
We will be going back as soon as we can. Highly recommended.
My only slight criticism is that the adult field was mainly gravel which was a little stark. However there is a nice garden feature currently under construction which when finished will make it a lot more inviting.

Our third visit and we will be back.
The site is perfect for visits to Ludlow Food Festival, Bridgnorth should not be missed especially on a Saturday for the markets and Much Wenlock the home of the Olympics is very lovely. We took advantage of the great weather and ventured into Wales up to Lake Bala and came over the hill tops on our way back, beautiful.
To some the site up; they have got everything right.

Spent a few nights here on the way North. Lovely quiet site, a credit to the owners who take great care of what they've got. Nice size pitches lovely garden and a nice field. Dog walk around the perimeter and play area in the middle. Very peaceful overall.
Immaculate toilets and a shedload of leaflets to illustrate the many attractions nearby including Much Wenlock the birthplace of the Olympics. Attingham Park is also a must for National Trust addicts and Wroxeter Roman Ruins for English Heritage. Not forgetting Ironbridge. Shrewsbury also of course nearby with an excellent Park & Ride arrangement and very good River Walks. Will return again without doubt.

Have visited this site a few times, and will visit again and again, the owners are very friendly and are always at hand to welcome you on your pitch.
We have stayed on the adults only part of the site and find it very quiet and peaceful. The site is very clean and well maintained.
The toilets and shower blocks are excellent and well looked after, water and waste disposal are very easily accessed.
Very handy site for all Shropshire attractions.

We have not long finished our holiday and I thought I would like to say what a lovely site.
The owners were extremely helpful with all their information about the surrounding area, and places to visit. We were in the adult only area, which is quite new, and the separating hedges hadn't grown much, but it didn't matter.
The pitch sizes were large, level and very tidy. The shower and toilet block was kept very clean.
We only stayed for 4 nights, but will go back to explore more.
There is a dog walk area, unfortunately with all the rain we had had prior to our visit, it was a little wet and boggy in areas, but it was to be expected.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site to anyone.
