Me and my partner and our 4 children stayed for two nights Fri/Sat. Fantastic little site. Greeted by owners who were very friendly and extremely helpful. Lovely play area for smaller children. Massive field for ball games.
Rubbish and recycling facilities. Well maintained pitches with hedgerows. Spotless toilet block / shower / washing up facilities. Nice quiet rural site.
Shrewsbury within 10 minutes and several shops within driving distance. Had a little information shed, full of leaflets, posters, magazines and books to borrow with weather forecast on the outside, nice touch!
Would definitely like to return again!

Just returned today after a four night break with my husband and son. Absolutely delighted with this site, what a find. This site is set in an ideal location, quiet and with a no loud noises after 11pm.
Great play area in a large field for the children, son never wanted to leave the park (at the age of 10 enjoyed equipment and the football goalposts). Toilets, showers, and washing up area regularly cleaned by the owners and stocked with toilet rolls.
When site is full don't have to wait for the toilet, etc. Where we pitched our tent surrounded on two sides with small hedges, had the choice of electricity (which we didn't use).
Has a recycling and rubbish area on side of toilet block by the information shed. The information shed has a notice board with current weather for the day and a list of places to visit, inside full of leaflets.
The owners are lovely people very friendly and helpful but not too much, they leave you be but they are around if you need any help.
Will definitely be going again, very soon hopefully. Lots of places to visit in the area, Ludlow, Ironbridge, Shrewsbury.

This is one of the best sites we have visited, it has everything.
The pitches, in a garden like setting, are large and each is separated by hedging and there is a new adult only area if you want it, all pitches have hook up, next to the pitches there is a field for dog walking and a children's playground.
The showers and toilets are large, plentiful and immaculate and the information shed is a real boon for first time visitors to the area.
Shrewsbury is 10 minutes away by car and this historic town is not to be missed but within 30 minutes drive there are so many interesting places to visit and things to see a weeks stay would hardly be long enough.
The owners Alan and Pat are a mine of information on places to visit and make sure you ask their advice before you go out to eat. We stopped at the site to break our journey on our way to and from Wales but we were so impressed and got such a warm welcome will be visiting again next year for a longer stay.

Lovely campsite with adult field, as well as family field and huge field for dog walking, swings and play equipment, ball games etc.
Toilet and shower blocks very clean and all facilities in good working order. Had a large hard standing pitch - could have easily have been two pitches.
Owners very nice and happy to help in any way. Good value for money site in quiet are in countryside about 5 miles from the busy town of Shrewsbury.
Lots of places to visit from here - Telford, Shrewsbury, Mid Wales etc.

Just returned from a week at this site and we were very impressed. As already stated in other reviews, the owners, Alan and Pat were great hosts, very hospitable and full of local knowledge.
The toilet/shower block was immaculate at all times and despite its relatively small size, we never had to wait for showers at any point during our stay.
The site was fantastic value for money, at £98 for a week, (2 adults and 1 child), pitch was huge and included EHU.
The playing field was huge and included a few swings/see-saws etc, goal posts for those wanting a kick-about.
The nearest local shop was at a Shell garage about a mile away, not the best value for money (typical petrol station prices) but with a bit of planning, its easy enough to avoid. Co-op within 5 minute drive, along with takeaways and a park and ride service into Shrewbury Town centre. We used this service and found it good value for money at £1. 60 each (return).
The town centre itself has plenty to offer, with a good selection of independent retailers and a great market hall.
Would highly recommend the Indian Restaurant next to the Shell Garage. Its called the Saffron Cottage, not the cheapest curry I have eaten but certainly up there with the best!
We travelled to Telford to a children's park called Wonderland, I would avoid this place at all costs. 20 years ago it was probably 'ok' but looks like it has not been touched ever since, everything was dirty and tired looking, cost us £20 to get in and we were done within the hour. Very disappointing.
Would highly recommend Park Hall Farm, nr Oswestry and also Harry Tuffins Sunday market at Churchstoak.
Local pubs worth a visit are the Grapes and the Oxon Priory, both on the same road about 10 mins drive from the site, and both child friendly.
Overall, an excellent place to stay, and a site I feel, is setting standards

Just back from our second visit of the year with one more planned.
Surely that says it all :)
Great site, very clean and always tidy. Showers and toilets always available and spotless.
Two excellent washing up points with bowls and lights.
We marked out pitches with water and elec never far away.
Excellent information hut with a daily info and weather board outside. Disposable bbq stands in shed and freezer and washing machine also available.
Site is well signposted from the A5 and is in a very peaceful location. Both Pat and Alan are very friendly and helpful. Always available when needed but never in your face. Always happy to stop for a chat and found out where you have been and give recommendations.
As a family we love it here.

Absolute bargain of a campsite with excellent facilities! Individually marked out pitches with native hedging plants, with plenty of space. Compact site so never far from the facilities.
Free freezer for freezer packs, free push button showers and vanity cubicles - never saw more than a couple of people in there at any one time. Lovely quiet site, but with play field for the kids and plenty to do in the local area. No shop, but then it's only 5 minutes from Shrewsbury.
Paid just £13 a night for 2 adults and 2 children in peak season, and didn't have to pay until we left. Thoroughly recommend and will go back.

Ive been camping or caravaning for 20 years and this was one of the best or best campsite we have stayed at.
The site is kept in immaculate condition. The pitches were spacious and well kept. The toilets and showers were kept clean at all times. An excellent large playing field at the site for kids to play in and for people to walk there dogs around.
Washing machine facility cost only £2. There are plenty of leaflets in the information area they've got which Alan keeps updated with the weather update as well. But if you want to know where to go or any other information on the area ask Alan.
He is better than any tourist information centre I know. He knows the area really well and can tell all the best places to go whether they are free or you need to pay.
To sum up this campsite Pat and Alan are very pleasant owners who go that extra bit further but not over the top to make your stay a great stay.
They also when you leave go out of there way to see you before you go. If I visit this area again I shall not be looking for any other campsite to stay.

One of the best sites I have been on, hidden away just of the A5, when we arrived we had a warm welcome from Alan and Pat, showed us where to pitch our tent, and left us to it.
We was put on the pitch by the hedge next to the road, the site was full. The noise from the road wasn't all that bad. The site was nice and clean, all pitches have electric, water points are never to far away, the shower block was immaculate, lots of information in the shed, other campers will know about this, there is a large field next to the site for children to play, and you can walk your dog around to.
Make sure you bring plenty of food and drink, nearest Co op is about 3 mile away.
Customer service from Alan and Pat is 110%, I would recommend this site to anyone. Please telephone to check if pitches are available, they are well known.

Just come back from a great weekend at a wonderful site, We arrived on Friday afternoon with our Folding Camper we were shown our pitch,
The owners were so friendly nothing too much trouble a real personal touch.
Site is small and quite, well kept, Toilets and showers were excellent very very clean and tidy.
There is a separate field for playing football and other ball games and a small playground.
There is a co op not too far away which is next to the Oxon Park and ride which is excellent way to get into Shrewsbury Town.
We had a great weekend and came home and booked for the next weekend
