What a little find! Went for a quick weekend away with friends after they found it on the internet and I was recommended it by two work colleagues. The site is only small, quietly situated in the heart of Shropshire some 5 miles from Shrewsbury. The owners are always at hand but NEVER overly so but really know their stuff. From when we were helped to reverse into our pitch to offering suggestions of days out for the family you knew you were in good hands and could not ask for more! They had little things that made the stay good like an information 'hut' which apart from all the brochures you could ever need, it had a display board with the weather forecast for the day and a list of things to do and see. A nice touch!

A small play field with swings and football nets was ideal for the smaller kids, but not a great deal for older ones, but, I don't really think this is what they cater for! Saying that, our friends 13 year old played footie with his dad and my 17 year old son so it can't be too bad. They say you make your own fun!??!

The toilet block is not very old and had enough showers/toilets/sinks for the size of site. I never had to wait and the site was almost full. Some may say basic, but, with an added touch of fresh flowers I could not complain especially as the hot water was free and of an ideal temperature. Something sadly in this day an age we don't get at all the sites we visit.

As it's only an hour from where we live we have marked this as a favourite and will be a regular for sure.

Well, what can I say except echo what most of the other reviews say!

Lovely quiet site with exceptionally clean facilities. It rained hard all day the Sunday we were there and there was not one muddy footprint in the shower/toilet block!

Excellent location for Shrewsbury Town Centre.

My Husband and I had booked this site as we were going to a concert at Greenhaus Stadium and I was concerned about returning to the site late on in the evening but Alan assured me this was fine--most sites I have been to don't allow movement after a certain time.

Alan and Pat very friendly and helpful.

Would definitely return to this site.

Top class site with excellent, clean facilities. Nothing too much trouble for Alan and Pat, always helpful and very friendly. A very well managed site respecting the needs of all kinds of campers.

Toilet and shower facilities exceptionally clean and the whole site was maintained to a high order. They both work hard to ensure people enjoy their stay at the site and we would have no hesitation in recommending this site.

A real gem and well worth a visit. Exceptional value for money.

I can't praise this site enough. This was our second visit, albeit for a stopover night. The site is kept supremely

Clean and tidy and the toilet block is one of the most pleasant we have experienced. The dog walk area is massive and, as with the rest of the site, is really well maintained.

The new 'adults only' area is settling in nicely and is testament to all of the hard work that Pat and Alan have put in over the winter.

We'll be back soon for the longer visit that this site really deserves.

We`ve just spent a lovely weekend on this site and nothing can be faulted, from start to end everything was top notch

Signs guiding you to the site are well placed. Alan the site owner was very helpful and explained to you about where everything was.

The pitch was ace, large enough for caravan, car, and awning, it seemed like your own little garden plot.

Water 'drinking' and 'waste' was in easy reach and toilets and showers where top rate.Garage easy ride down the road with large shop.

Would like to thank Pat and Alan for making the weekend so enjoyable. Can`t wait to call again.

What a lovely site! We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children and dog and all thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here.

The showers and toilets are spotlessly clean no matter what time of day/night you use them, infact probably the cleanest campsite we have ever visited!

The owners are always around, very welcoming and friendly.

Really nice spacious pitches sectioned off by small bushes which give a little privacy.

Kids enjoyed the very secure field in which there was a few swings and see saws and mini football area as well as a lovely large field where also was a dog walk along the outskirts.

Will certainly visit again.

First time but definitely won,t be our last. Lovely flat and large pitches, each pitch is bordered with small trees (will soon grow).

Large field with play area (swings, seesaw) and dog walk around outside. Facilities superb and clean.

Pat and Alan are always around, keeping everything clean. Grass is well kept and wouldn't be out of place in my garden. Water and waste close by , in fact everything is.

This is our 4th visit to the site and we have been well looked after as usual by Pat and Alan. The facilities are excellent as always and although the ground has been a little damp the site looks beautiful with its Autumn colours.

It is the first time we have been pitched along the road side, and while others have commented, yes you can hear some cars and tractors from time to time, but it’s hardly the M25! I would be happy to be pitched along the roadside again if necessary.

Just beyond the toilet block it looks like 10 to 15 more pitches are being added to the caravan site. (Guess the popularity of this wonderful friendly site has caused demand to increase beyond availability).

We arrived, to a warm welcome, after a period of prolonged heavy rain, although the weather was good throughout our stay.

We were located on a generous hard standing near to the main road.

The grass 'roadways' to the hard standing had become quite muddy and were tending to cut up which required regular changes of footwear when accessing facilities on foot. I understand plans are in place to improve the roadways in question.

Probably because of the season and our close proximity to the road, there was significant road noise, tractors, and cars using the lane as a rat run, which was enough to disturb a light sleeper between about dawn to 8.30 am.

Overall a well run site, good facilities and good value for money.

 Fantastic site.

Excellent toilets and showers. Never had to wait and the site was full.

Two covered and lit washing up points with plugs and bowls :)

Our pitch like all the others had a nice hedge around it with water and power near by.

There is a small amount of road noise mainly agriculture and certainly not enough to disturb you.

Site rules require no noise after 11pm and there was none.

Both Pat and Alan very helpful.

4 nights of 2 adults and 2 kids with elec was less than £45, amazing.

Booked in for a return visit.

Large field for playing on and walking around. Would be good if there was a larger short grass area for kids to free play on.

My only gripe is that our pitch was well worn and had been made good with sand. Thankfully we had 4 cheap doormats otherwise out tent would have been full of sand.
