Just been back to woodhill park for the 5th time. What a fantastic site located on a clifftop with great views be warned though it does get very windy on this site and not for the faint-hearted as the tent can really shake when its windy.
Fabulous clifftop walks to sheringham and a beach walk to cromer ideally situated for local shops and pubs which sell some very very nice beer.
Facilities on site are good. A well stocked shop and the warden is located by the entrance. Toilets and showers are clean and warm although the showers near the bbq area can be a little cool due to solar power.
It has 2 family bathrooms with bath, shower, sink, toilet and baby change this is available with a £20 returnable deposit.
Children's play area is also good and clean with safe play equipment for younger and older kids. Has a nice dog walk too for the dog owner.
Staff are friendly and always happy to help.

The site is very clean and tidy, with large and well spaced pitches. The site is well maintained and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The site is located right next to the beach and within five minutes you can be walking along the beach.
East Runton and Cromer are lovely seaside towns with nice shops and morrisions is very close by which is handy if you are in a tent. The beaches are stony but there is plenty of sand for children and my dog loved his walk on the beach and making friends.
I was a little disappointed with the facilities at the site. Rather then communal shower rooms and toilets Woodhill has individual family shower and bathrooms which are a nice idea but they were cold and very wet and slippery.
Everytime we went for a shower there was a long wait and there was not hot water for a shower or a wash. The showers themselves were very old and dated and you have to just push a button which was very stiff and you were not able to adjust the temperature so if the water was cold you just had to keep pushing the button.
I would be more then happy to pay for a shower if there was hot water. There isn't much drainage in the showers / bathrooms so the floor is very wet and slimy which I didn't like.
There was washing up facilities but they are located at the end of the shower block and are exposed with only a plastic roof so it does get chilly when washing up.
There is a fantastic dog walking area with a path along the cliff top and you can go a little further and get on the beach. The children's play is also really good with lots to keep children entertained while you get set-up or packing up. Its way from the main site so children don't disturb other campers but they do need to be supervised.
There are a few local pubs that are really good and allow you to take your dogs in and there's a good chippy in Cromer. There is a large Morrisons and some smaller shops and a small friendly outdoor shop in East Runton.
I really enjoyed my stay at Woodhill if it wasn't for my horrible experience in the showers it would have been great but that's the joy of camping.

This site is very well run, nice staff and everything very clean and tidy. Excellent facilities with well stocked shop open all day and good shower/toilet with washing cubicles or all in one shower/toilet rooms.
Worth paying extra for a big pitches which are really big.
Good position with bus stops outside for Cromer and Sherringham and easy walk across huge dog walking field along cliff top to beautiful wide beach (dog friendly) with nice cafe.
Close to local shops and excellent pub in West Runton.
Only down side is that it is a windy spot as its up on the cliffs.

We found the site to be very clean and well kept. Our children loved the park and the facilities. The dog enjoyed the walks. It was a lovely walk into Cromer. The toilet blocks are very clean and never too long to wait for a shower. The shop had all necessities. We are now booking for 2012. There was always hot water available to wash our pots and an area for a barbecue. We had plenty of room to set up our family sized tent and as with other sites we never had any flooding. My parents came to the site at a later time and they enjoyed the site and the facilities. My father is disabled and found the disabled facilities were great.

Stayed for a week on this campsite. Had a great time despite the wind, well it is on the cliff top! I would definitely recommend this site!
Location was excellent, it took about 20 minutes to walk into Cromer. East Runton was 10 minutes away and West Runton 10-15 minutes; both with great access to the beach. There's a little supermarket, butchers, post office and a couple of restaurants in East Runton and a supermarket, camping shop and great pub in West Runton full of charm that served delicious food!
Overall the campsite was great and a handy little shop on site, though there was limited choice but very handy and lovely bread. The toilets, showers and sinks were all cleaned daily, never ran out of hot water or loo roll and there was a free hairdryer and loads of space to get ready. Great facilities for kids and if you wanted you could even hire a dvd!
We paid for hookup and a little extra to have a large pitch after reading horror stories on here about spacing but I have to say although it was nice to have the space (and there was a lot of it) we didn't really need it.
Though some of the rules regarding pitching seemed a little ridged, we had a problem with the wind which was very strong and snapped the pole on our awning, we wanted to move around so that the van took the brunt of the wind, there was a lot of discussion as to whether this would be allowed due to fire regulations but in the end I'm pleased to say common sense prevailed. We were away from the road so the traffic noise wasn't a problem for us.
Cromer is lovely and charming with lots to do. It's a great little seaside town that hasn't been spoilt by the modern world! We didn't move our van all week and there was lots to do.
We enjoyed the walks into town, we visited the museums, climed the church tower, visited Amazonia and even managed a day on the beach and in the sea! Still loads left to do if we decide to re-visit!

Arguably the best camp site for anyone wishing to stay in Cromer or Sherringham.
The site is very well maintained with multiple toilets/shower blocks. The showers have your own individual rooms and were never overly busy due to each field having their own block.
The pitch we had was right on top of a hill with a sea view! From the site you can walk 5 minutes to get to a road with access to the beach (or brave walking down the sandy cliff). Once there you can walk 30-40mins along this fantastic beach to reach Cromer. On our stay the weather was great (24c sun) and this part of Norfolk seems to get great weather (the sunset views from Cromer are amazing) we even managed to swim in the clean sea. It is a short walk to shops and a few pubs - in summary, a great site/location that I would highly recommend.

Have just returned from Woodhill Park had a brill time dispite the weather, this is my second visit in a month very clean and tidy site, excellent for dog owners and children, all the staff are friendly and polite. Would recommend to friends, central between Cromer and Sherringham walking distance, there is a car boot sale in the next field twice a week. I took my grandchildren the first visit and they made loads of friends, the pitches are very large and marked out, I would go again but you have to make sure you book reasonable time as it gets booked

The area is lovely and we found some lovely places to eat.
Constantia Greek Restaurant is a 5 minute walk from the site and is not to be missed, lovely people, great live music and amazing food.
In Cromer a lttle extra walk is worth it to the East Cliff and the Red Lion Pub, again great food.
As for the site, I was very disappointed as it's website says 'It’s the ideal spot to sit back, relax and take in the inspiring natural landscape. ' It does not mention the main road which run alongside the whole side, our pitch backed onto this road and it was very busy and very noisy. We couldn't hear each other speak at times. We asked to be moved, but they said they were full. We had booked a week and there were lots of pitches free. In fact for the last 3 days it was nearly empty.
There were plenty of toilet/showers and family bathrooms we never had to queue even over the bank holiday weekend.
The children's playground was good and they loved the shop and ice-creams!

We stayed 4 nights at this site and although we had an OK time we will not be returning.
The big problem with this site is the grid layout and the fact that the pitches are so close together. It really did feel like you were camping in a car park.
It is a real shame as the site is nice and clean and in a great location. There are fantastic cliff top walks and we did a really good guided fossil hunt and rock pooling with a chap called Nick who runs other nature trails throughout the summer. There is loads to do in the area around Cromer.
The facilities were OK but the showers could have been cleaner and I had to queue each morning. Plenty of toilets.
The children's play area was good but better for older children ( over 5's)
This was only our second ever camping trip - the first one being at Fen Farm in Essex which is a wonderful site and never feels crowded even when fully booked on a Bank Holiday weekend, so we may have had unrealistic expectations!

Mixed views about this site.
1st the good things :-
Well maintained site,
Really excellent kids play areas and games areas with lots to do on site,
Showers and toilets generally clean ( especially for peak August )
Cheap
Convenient for Cromer
Not so good stuff:-
I felt very hemmed in with rows and rows of tents with no hedges or anything to break things up
The number of showers seem inadequate for the size of site - large queues in the morning with waits of up to 20 mins ( if you want the shower rooms ) lots less if you walk to the other side of the site.
Being on a cliff top its a little exposed - expect it always to be a bit windy ( I would hate to be on it if it was very windy !)
So bottom line would I go back ? - for a quick cheap weekend with the kids yes, with the wife no - for longer than a weekend no.
