Booked in here for a long weekend and arrived 2 days before the schools broke up , so the site was relatively quiet on arrival.

Good pitches , well drained although did get a bit cramped by Saturday night when it seemed the site was probably just about up to capacity. They could also do with better markings of the pitches as the corner we were in had no markings at all and it was a bit hit and miss for the 4 tents in our corner , but we all managed to fit in one way or another.

The site itself is great , clean toilet and shower blocks but they could do with a few more showers. Luckily I was up early every morning and could get my shower in before the rush , but I would imagine there would be a long wait after 8am.

Quite a well stocked campsite shop with ice blocks available. The site is also well sited for Cromer and Sherringham , both being easily walked from site.

Can highly recommend a visit to The White Horse in East Runton , which is just a 10 minute walk from the site and serves great beer and wonderful home cooked food and I guarantee you a warm welcome there.

Will be returning to this site , just will avoid peak times next year.

This was our first time here. Wow, what views! A bit windy but ok if you take windbreaks. The site was clean and tidy, toilet and shower area's was kept clean although at busy times you had to queue for the shower. Brilliant base for exploring Cromer and surrounding areas. Defiantly will be going back.

Very disappointed. Childrens playground and sports equipment were very battered, shabby and in some cases just plain broken. Lovely location though, although the staff did try and first of all put us on the side of the park right next to an extremely busy road! Toilet blocks were clean and well heated, although again looking really tired. Beautiful walks and close proximity to Cromer make it a nice site to visit. Would I return? Yes, probably if they clean the place up and maintain it properly.

We found this campsite on this website after much searching for one near Cromer, and quite near the sea. A lot of the other campsites in the area seemed to charge a much higher nightly rate, and this one seemed quite reasonable (£8.50 per pitch, +£1.50 per person)

The pitches are all numbered and quite large, although if you have a large 'family' sized tent, you may find that you are a little bit too near any snoring neighbours! We booked two pitches for our 3 & 4 man tents, and placed them near the inner edges of our pitches, leaving quite a nice space between us and other campers.

The toilet facilities are clean and there are about three or four dotted around the site.

There is no direct access to the sea from the campsite, due to cliff erosion, but if you head left out of the campsite, a 5 minute walk to East Runton takes you down to the beach.

Check out the Army Surplus shop in East Runton for a large range of quite reasonably priced clothing and any camping gear you might have either forgotten or need to re-stock.

Cromer itself is about a 20-30 minute walk away, and has a large number of places to eat, unfortunately due to the sudden rain storm the Wellington Pub's Courtyard Restaurant was closed, but we were directed to the Cromer Grill on Garden Street, which despite it's title had a range of reasonably priced tasty food...beware of the large portions though!

A word of warning though. On the Thursday night we stayed longer than we intended in the Wellington, assuming that the taxi rank next to the church would actually have some taxi's in it! We tried ringing a number that the bar staff gave us only to be told that there would be an hour wait! It was only about 11.00 at night, and another taxi-searcher seemed to confirm that this was the case on most nights. There are a couple of pubs in East Runton, so it might be advisable to get settled in one of them at some point in the evening, if you don't fancy a long-ish walk back to the campsite!

There does seem to be a 'no-noise' policy after 10.00, so if you're looking for a party site, you may find yourself being a bit disappointed, and it may be a good idea for the owners to try and situate families away from groups etc. (As there doesn't seem to be a 'no kids playing' policy before 8 am!)

Also, try and remember to take a tent-peg mallet as in some places the ground does seem to be a little stoney, and a windbraker might be very useful, as the site is situated at the clifftop, you will need something to avoid waiting an hour for your kettle to boil!

Despite the above couple of points, I would have no hesitation staying here again, and would recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful few days away!

This was our first camping trip as a family. We went in a borrowed tent to make sure that we were all happy before buying our own. Thanks to this site, we have now bought our own. We were lucky that this was our first site for it is clean and quiet, but with plenty for the children, aged 11 and 8 to do. They were able to safely go over to the play area on their own which was great. The loos and showers were clean, with hot water at no additional cost. We didn't have to queue at any time. The chip van that comes to the site twice a week is a great idea, and there are pubs within a reasonable walk although we did not try them this time. We will go to this site again. Lovely location, convenient for lots of beaches, although you need a car to get to most of them.

Visited the second weekend in July without booking. We were looking for a campsite in the Cromer area and found this one as we drove along. Reception was closed, but the on-site warden was available until 10.00pm and was very helpful in selecting us a pitch.

It was busy but didn't seem over crowded with pitches being clearly marked. All pitches seemed level and were on grass. There is a seperate field for campers without electric, however we had an electric pitch.

The best kept toilet and shower facilities I've seen. There is one main block with showers and other blocks without showers, but still highly maintained. Great adventure playground and good downhill access to the beach. On-site shop expensive, but handy. There's a Morrison's in Cromer and another convenience store in East Runton, opposite the chippy.

Only minor niggle is the grass cuttings. We must have arrived just after the grass had been cut. However, grass does need cutting, and it was immaculate! Would go back again.

This was our second visit to Woodhill Park. Still very pleased with the facilities and the efficiency of this site. Brilliant walks, Sheringham 50 mins, Cromer 30 mins. Plus excellent footpaths nearby. Campsite was quiet but soon filled up come the start of July, at that point I was glad to leave.

I would definitely return to this site in the future, but will avoid peak times. My children think the site is fantastic ( aged 7 & 9 )and love the park and beach.

We booked this site for our family holiday at Whitsun. We really have no complaints about the site! It is set in a very nice location with good views all around. The showers and toilets were kept very clean, as were the washing up facilites. We found all the staff friendly and helpful. We had a serviced pitch, and found this plenty of room for us with our Outwell Hartford XL, however I think the pitches without elec hook-up are samller.

You can not access the beach from the site, due to the cliff errosion, which is a shame, but you cant take a 15/20 minute walk to get to the nearest access or take the car.

All in all very good, and would definitely go back.

Friendly helpful service, well laid out and spacious. Plenty of toilet blocks, showers not so plentiful, although it wasn't a problem in late season when we visited.
Well stocked shop, usual rather high prices, but it is a convenience shop after all so it is to be expected.
In all a great stay, and the cost was far lower than others as Woodhill charge just per person rather than per person, per awning, per this, per that, as other sites do.
No hesitation in returning!

The Campite is situated on the main coastal road between Cromer and Sherringham. It was reasonably well situated for visiting the North Coast of Norfolk. We visited the site on a busy fortnight in early August and enjoyed our stay very much. However, there were a few things that could have been improved. The size of the pitches, although marked, were 20 foot square this might sound alot but you have to get everything into that space including your car, your tent takes up a larger area than you might think especially the new igloo style tents. They don't ask you what size tent you have when you book and allocate you a pitch number. This does result in big tents being squashed together with little space. I would have thought that had they alternated big tent and small tent it would have given everyone more space.
As other people have mentioned the grass cuttings are a bit of a problem, but at the end of the day you are in a field and they do have to cut the grass. It would improve matters if they could get a machine that collected it as well.

They could probably do with a few more showers during the busy season but we only had to queue a couple of times and it wasn't for long. On the showers you press a button which turns the hot water on for twenty seconds (yes I timed it) and then you have to press it again and again until you have finished your shower. The taps are similar but only run as long as you hold them down so an extra hand would have been useful.

Good things to mention. You walk from the site along a path to the beach, excellent play area for the children, good area for dogs. A short car journey to Cromer, you could walk it if you felt energetic. Co-Op and Safeways in Cromer so don't recommend you use site shop for anything except newspaper unless you have to. They use a loan and use ice pack scheme, not seen it before but it did seem to work. You use their ice blocks paying a refundable deposit of £1.00 on each pack and then 30p per day on each block frozen. Get there early because the frozen blocks are at the bottom of the freezer and you have to dig for them.
The site seems to be run profesionally and there was always someone there if you had any problems. I would recomend this site to anyone unless you prefer a lot of quiet and more privancy, then perhaps you should look elsewhere.
