We have just spent a very pleasant three days here. It was our first time camping and the staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant.
We found the site is well maintained and clean. We were towards the top of the site and used the older toilet/shower block which again, we found to be kept very clean and well-maintained. During investigation, my wife had a look at the toilet block at reception and described them as 'palatial'. The site is well-placed on the cliff top just West of Easton Runton which, is only a 10min walk away with a pub, convenience store and a good fish and chip shop, Wlilly's Plaice. There is a bus stop at the site entrance that will take you to nearby Cromer or in the opposite direction, Sheringham.
An excellent centre to start from, to explore the beautiful North Norfolk coast.
We would thoroughly recommend it to all.

We have just returned from a week at Woodhill. I will put in the very small negatives to start with and these are drainage on the site is not the best hence the pitches get very muddy and the hedges albeit natural looked messy and there were nettles around the tap on our serviced pitch. Albeit as you drive on the site the first pitch next to the wardens caravan looked messy. These were the tiny negatives now the positives, reception and shop is excellent, fantastic selection in the shop, friendly staff. The welcome was good, the site is good, views excellent. The toilets and showers are second to none, with the refurbished block being one of the best we have used. The site is located centrally and within easy reach of the coast path and enjoyable walking along the coast path to Sherringham taking in the Beeston Hump. There is good child and adult play area on the site. Bewilderwood worth a visit if you want to just relax with children and return to your own childhood. We will be back next year and would recommend the site.

My family (2 adults, 9 yr old, 11 yr old + 2 dogs) stayed here October half term. The site was quiet so it was hard to say how it would be when fully utilised but it appeared a good size with adequate facilities to cope.
Pros:
Well laid out site
Excellent location for coast and other towns, villages
Close to local pubs and shops
On a great bus route
Excellent kids park. Good for all ages.
Good dog walking and excellent walking in general
One newly refurbished toilet block which was lovely
Good shop
Lovely staff
Good sized pitches
Great views of the sea and countryside
Cons
No hard standing on serviced pitches (poor)
Some of the roads have a few holes that can be walked in at night
One of the toilet blocks is old and needs some TLC

This is our third visit to this site. It is very well situated between Cromer and Sheringham. We never use our Motorhome once parked up as there is a regular bus service from the site entrance, even Saturday and Sunday. You can also walk along the beach into Cromer, about 30 minutes. There is a newly refurbished main toilet and shower block, which is absolutely amazing, it would not look out of place in a five star hotel. The other toilet and shower blocks are not as modern but they are kept beautifully clean. There is a site shop, sufficiently stocked with tempting goodies as well as essentials. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a children's play area, which I understand may be having some money spent on it next year, although to me it looks pretty good now. East Runton village is just a stroll away, with a small Supermarket, Pub and a good Fish and Chip shop, plus several other small Shop's. I cannot say anything negative about this site. We will certainly be back, give it a try, you will not be disappointed. Plenty of electric hook ups, some fully serviced and lot's of room for tent's as well.

Very pleasant stay at this well equipped site (despite dreadful weather). Had a premium pitch which was a really good size. New shower block behind the shop is amazing - facilities more like I'd expect in a hotel not a campsite! Site was fully booked but didn't feel overcrowded as pitches are well spaced & the site large. 6 year old son thoroughly enjoyed the play area. Within walking distance of both Cromer & Sheringham (for the more energetic) or a few minutes drive to either. Overall we couldn't fault it.

Excellent Campsite, facilities very nice and clean and conveniently located.
The site itself was very clean and tidy, reasonably quiet considering the amount of families there were, beautiful views.
Area is lovely, small local shops, takeaways etc and Cromer is just down the road.
Beach access is the one downside, it is accessed by an extremely steep slope that is definitely not accessible by all, especially older people or very difficult for families with babies or very young children.
All in all the site is definitely worth visiting we had a great time last year and will be booking again this year

Just returned from woodhills. Been going here for many years. We were very disappointed. On our 2nd day I reported lights out on the site at night. Made it very difficult to go out at night when it was dark as the lights that were out was near the main reception area. And a few out on the main field. You couldn't see where you was walking to go to the main shower block you didn't know the diff between roads and grass. If you walked your dog at night you couldn't clean up after them. The dog poo bins where not emptied while we were there. Pot holes where still there from when we were there in June! And the free WIFI is none existent when I ask about the wifi I was told it was free and wasn't being charged for it. But if something is being offered as free surely it should be working!. We also wasn't made aware that a generator would be running all the time. But other than this we have been going back for a number of years so in our opinion the site and WIFI just needs a good upgrading.

Just back from our 1st visit to this park, having read some reviews on other websites I was a bit concerned about slopping pitches. I had asked on a social media site and told they were not that bad.
Well no they are not, but you will need leveling chocks, and something for under your jockey wheel and steadies. That said this is a lovely site, kept very clean with plenty of showers and toilets, never had to wait for either. The newly refurbished Reception block is pretty amazing. Our nearest block was the touring block, not flashy, but very clean and the showers are huge.
A well stocked shop selling lovely breads etc. You also get the clubs and balls for the mini golf from there, this is located on the playing field, which is a nice place for the kids to run off steam, play football and it has a playground area, have to say this is one of the few sites that I didn't see children playing around the pitches all the time. There is a dog walk area, although I wouldn't let mine off the lead, she could smell the rabbits and I don't think I would have seen her again! Our pitch had EHU, and I noticed they had a few fully serviced pitches, as well as a field with non electric pitches, there are statics on site but they are hidden away from the touring pitches, and unless you walk round the full site like we did you cannot tell they are there really.
Location is amazing, you can walk into Cromer in about 20-30 minutes either along the road or you can get on the beach at East Runton and walk all the way along it into Cromer. Cromer is a beautiful place, the Kings head pub is a nice place to sit in the garden and enjoy a beverage, before and after fish and chips from Mary Janes just round the corner.
In East Runton you will find the Dozy Doormouse pub, here you will receive a warm welcome from the owners, dogs are made welcome as well, our Border terrier was greeted with a bowl of water and a dog treat. The food is very good, home made, no pre-made bought in meals to be seen, and it is very well priced 4 main meals for less than £30
There is a bus stop outside the campsite so you can get the bus to Sheringham or further afield, Sheringham is a good place for shopping and they have a market on a Saturday morning.
I am certain this will become a regular haunt for us.

Having just returned from a weekend at Woodhill I list below our findings.
IN FAVOUR:
Clean toilet/shower block.
Good reception area.
Good location.
AGAINST:
Very noisy generator that runs continually through the day and night.
Tightly packed pitches (only approx. Two metres between rear of pitch to pitch behind only separated by overgrown grass/weed patch).
Chemical disposal unit poorly signed and located.
ADVICE TO CAMPERS:
Wear headphones when watching television as drone of generator is very audible above quite a generous volume setting.
If you wish to sleep at night wear earplugs unless very heavy sleeper or request you are pitched at least 150m away from generator.
ADVICE TO WOODHILL.
Advise campers of generator noise or get electrical equipment upgraded to avoid the necessity of such noisy equipment. (We did inform you of the inconvenience and were told somebody would come and see us Saturday morning – unfortunately nobody did).
Upgrade site location plan to show where chemical disposal point is and also inform staff of its whereabouts (to save them searching the internet for its location).
Site would be enhanced with tree/solid fencing to muffle some of the nearby road noise. Also turf patches would be better placed over the mud patches that have been used to fill in potholes.
We would not wish to return unless improvements were made.

We recently spent three nights on this campsite and were very pleased with the facilities. Our pitch was on a slight slope but no problem with levelling it off. The pitches are large and laid out in rows, however the rows did feel quite close together with no shrubs or bushes to provide any privacy but this wasn't really a problem in our view. We were situated quite near to a main road but, again, you kind of got used to the traffic and at night you didn't really notice it. There is a new shower block which is immaculate and very nicely done. One thing we did find strange though is that although there was a mop and bucket next to the showers, it didn't have any water or disinfectant in it with the purpose of mopping the shower out after you have used it. Most people there also looked at me a bit strange when I said I was going to mop the shower before they got in so it's obviously not something they are used to doing. One lady thought I was a cleaner! When we left feedback about this we were told it was against health and safety regulations to leave disinfectant in a bucket?! There are other shower units which looked fine but I never actually used them because there was a queue and I chose to queue inside the new block instead. The site is right on the cliffs - absolutely stunning views. We were very lucky with the weather and were really pleased we had chosen a campsite on the cliffs but I can imagine that if the weather was not nice it could be pretty windy. The dog walking facilities are fantastic - a lovely wildflower meadow with cut paths to walk around and poo bins. You can walk beyond this along the cliffs - wonderful. Great adventure park area for the kids. The shop was well stocked and reception staff friendly. Free wifi but it didn't really work. The whole campsite was busy and had a bit of buzz to it, not somewhere where you would go for a quiet break but more suited to families and groups. It was excellent value for money and we would definitely go back again.
