We made a last minute booking for the last week of August. Booked online, which made things easy. Arrived on the day and found the staff in reception to be friendly and helpful. I tried to get a key to one of the family shower rooms, but was told they were all out (they have 10 keys for each room). I was then told that Shower Room 1 no longer had a yale lock on it, so to use that if it was free (which it was most of the time).
Our pitch was a good size and clearly marked out, but we were near the road, which was quite noisy till around 11pm. All the park's facilities were in good order. We even made use of the purpose built BBQ area one evening.
We enjoyed our trip so much, we tried to extend our stay. Unfortunately, they were fully booked up over the bank holiday weekend, which I had sadly expected. I would thoroughly recommend this site.

As this was my first week camping, we chose a camp site that was not too far away from home and that suited our needs. First initial impressions were good, the receptionists were very helpful when booking our stay and when on site. The site was very well kept and clean with no loose litter flying around. As we had a larger than normal tent (Vango Killington 900) the receptionist did locate a larger non serviced pitch. We opted for a key for the new family shower block (£20 deposit) and we were not dissapointed, they were clean and hot water was plentiful. One of the family rooms has a bath of which my youngest daughter favoured. There were two other blocks which housed toilets, showers and washing facilities both for pots and pans and laundry. The on site shop also held camping provisions and a much needed repair patch to repair a tear in our tent that occur due to moderate winds whilst setting up (our fault). The large bins were emptied daily and the grass was also kept short, due to the low amount of rainfall, the ground was hard, a mallet was a god send in setting up. The children's play area was appreciated very much by our two daughters (6 & 9). Our dogs also made good use of the large dog area. My fear was to be noisy nights, this was not to be, as noise was kept to a minimum by all around us. On site 24 hour wardens ensured additional safety. The beaches were to be found within a 10 minute walk along the clift tops to West Runton, lots of rock pools, sandy areas and a nice clear sea. Dogs can also be taken to this beach although not directly in front of the slip way (understandable if you are not a dog lover) Lots of friendly pubs close by, most of the local chip shops close at 9pm during week nights. Come Friday and Saturdays the area is a little more vibrant.
Sheringham and Wells are places to visit as are most North Norfolk coastal villages. The sunsets are quite stunning when viewd from the hill. Luckily we stayed during Cromer Carnival week and enjoyed many of the shows and displays (Red Arrows, Fireworks and the Spitfire) are great memories. I have no moans about my week stay, although next time I visit I will opt for a service pitch due to the pitch being larger and the electric hook up that would makes things a little easier when storing food.
Recommended to all.

A nice big clean campsite, big pitches, lots of hot water for washing up and very good shower facilities. Shop including cold block hire, adventure playground. 5 minutes walk to beach and shops in East Runton. Handy for Cromer and Sheringham ( fantastic kebabs from Papworths butcher in Sheringham!). Go and check out the animal sanctuary in West Runton, loads of animals of all kinds and fabulous old farming vehicles!

Stayed for 2 nights in mid-Aug. Location of campsite was good, close to beach which was a lovely walk - very lucky with the weather although windy being on cliff top.
Only thing I wasn't impressed with was the showers - they had recently modernised/refurbished the toilet block with family showers but the main showers there were only 4 of and on a campsite that big is not enough in my eyes - I got up at 5.30am just so I wouldn't have to queue then the next night had a shower at night so I didn't have to get up early the next day! There was no temperature control and as the water was too hot for my liking I had to keep darting in and out of water.

Have just returned from our first family camping holiday. We stayed for a week at Woodhill park and We all agreed that the site was fantastic. The staff were really friendly on arrival and showed us on a map where all the facilities were. We were based on the tent EHU field which was near the toilets and showers. The water was just a stones throw from the pitch. As a previous review stated we have a Vango Diablo 600 and did struggle to fit it on correctly leaving enough space to eat and park the car, although there is car park that we could use.
There is a wonderful children's play area with sand pit, crazy golf and tennis area which was great for our three and five year old.
The toilets and showers very generally clean although after the morning and evening rush the floors were a little dirty. There was also queues some mornings and evenings. There is a separate family block of shower rooms which one had a bath but they operate a key system which you have to leave a deposit for. Friends of ours tried for three days to obtain a key and were unsuccessful which does seem a little strange!
The views from the cliff tops were fantastic and you could walk to the beach from there, as were the sunsets!
Cromer and sheringham are just a five minute drive away and Blickling Hall (NT) property is well worth a visit.
We enjoyed our stay that much we tried to extend it but they were unfortunately full booked but will definitely use it for our future return trips to Norfolk.

Stayed here in the first week in August. Looking for a family base next to the seaside.
This site does not disappoint.
Pitch was tight for our family tent(but not impossible) 8x8m as not a serviced pitch-they are bigger 11x8m. Nice and flat - easy to peg out.
Office and shop just as you need, friendly with all the camping basics covered.
Decent kids play area and dog exercising.
Super facilities in terms of washing up, toilets and showers.
We made particular use of the family shower and bath rooms after long days on the beach.
East and West Runton beaches are glorious - a mix of pebbles, rock pool and swathes of sand provide a super family beach day out. Children in rock pool heaven! However there is no access to the beach from the site.
For West Runto a 15min cliff top trek (because we had a 4 yr old with us)or from East Runton a 10 min walk along a narrow pavement. We took to driving to the small carpark at E Runton.
Local shops within walking distance and a good sized Morrisons easily found in Cromer.
Only criticisms - 1.Some pitches are next to the road so a bit noisy until late at night.
2. The day we arrived Cromer and surrounding area was in the grip of a ladybird plague (Worth googling) - coming home to 500 in your tent! So take fly spray and a dustpan! as everywhere had sold out!
Thoroughly recommend this site for exploring North Norfolk but don't all go there as we want to go back!

Stayed here over 5 years ago in our tent and decided to revisit in our new folding camper. Site has good facilities although we were a bit confused about our pitch with EHU. Instructions said put the jockey wheel on the concrete number pad and the receptionist said the corners of the pitch were marked but they weren't (did see some tent pitches with good clear markings though). Presumed the camper would be in the middle of our pitch with awning to one side and car to the other, but nearby caravanner told us we had got it wrong and it should be camper, awning, car in that order. Wasn't a problem, we just moved the car, but did see other visitors the following day trying to work out which side their car should go. Would be helpful if they marked the corners on all pitches for clarity. Facilities have improved since our last visit and still an excellent side. Good walk along cliff tops down to beach which has great rock pools for the kids to search for crabs etc in. Nearby village just a short walk away with shops, fish and chips etc. Car boot sales next door to camp site on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings if you like that sort of thing. Small multi screen cinema close by in Cromer, and Splash swimming pool in Sheringham. All in all we would recommend this site.

Stayed here in May with a group of friends who booked it for us all, it was great! Admittedly was the week after half term and the site was pretty quiet, but lovely pitches and great location, views etc. You can walk to the beach down the cliff path which does take about 20 mins but worth the effort, kids loved it! Lots if interest nearby with Cromer, Sheringham, North Norfolk coast etc close by.
Has a fantastic play area with tennis too, the kids loved this and plenty of space for ball games too, big thumbs up.
Site shop was small but had the essentials, it did close at 5pm though , a bit early I'd say.
Facilities were lovely and clean with family bathrooms available (but were locked so am guessing youd need to get a key and maybne pay, am not sure) didn't use as only there for the weekend, but they looked lovely.
This place is run by kelling Heath and has much the same level of quality about it. Would def stay again and happily recommend it.

Stayed for one night with my girlfriend. Very easy to find. Receptionist was extremely helpful, gave us a map of the site to find our pitch. Good size pitch. Only problem was because the site's up on the cliff it was quite windy! But what do you expect from May in England?! Toilet block was large and very close to tent pitches. I think there was about eight cubicles, didn't try the showers. Overall very clean. Good site. Large park for children (and us when it got dark.!) We loved the massive chessboard too!

We are new to camping and we chose this site for our first visit, we live in Norfolk and so had passed it on many occasions day tripping, actually before we went we called in and the receptionist was very helpful and allowed us to have a walk around to fully appreciate the site. We booked online which was so simple, within 24 hours we had a confirmation and booking number, we had originally telephoned but the line was busy so we left a message, they did also call us back within 24 hours, but we had already booked online by then. Checking in was quick and easy, we had a site in the non EHU field, we actually had a lovely pitch with sensational views right along the cliff edge, and the other way we would see into the Runton Hills, yes the pitch was a little on the small size, we have a 6 berth tent and we could easily fit the tent and car on, but more room for sitting out would have been nice, that being said we did have enough room to erect our windbreak, chairs etc. My two little girls were positively wowed by the cleanliness of the toilets, which from an adult opinion were always clean, warm and well equipped, they even smelled nice! They also appeared to be regularly cleaned. The showers were also brilliant, clean and lovely and hot - although perhaps a bit too hot for my 7 year old who prefers cooler water, and you couldn't adjust the temperature, but from my opinion they were fantastic. There is also a family washroom area, you obtain a key from reception by leaving a returnable deposit, we did not actually use these but they were cleaning them when we walked past, we peaked in and it looked like there was a full size bath in there, which is brilliant for the younger child. Because you have the key you know no-one else will burst in on you! Before we went I thought we would make use of this facility but because of the cleanliness or the toilet and shower areas I did not feel the need to. I think this whole area of the site has recently been refurbished.
The onsite shop sold everything you could need, the prices were more expensive than any supermarket but then I think this is the norm for site shops.
The site itself has static caravans which are privately owned, and statics which they hire out (these did look very nice), a field for tourers, a field for EHU and a field for non EHU, I think the EHU pitches were slightly larger than the non EHU. It is a large site by my standards, but I really liked it. We regularly holiday on a static site a mile or so down the road which is small and quiet, although this site was larger I did not dis-like it in any way.
There is a very nice play area which my children loved, a small crazy golf, table tennis, sandpit, zip wire, large draughts. We do not have a dog but did walk through the dog walking field which was completely separate from the children's' play area, that was also very nice, lots of wildlife and fantastic views from the cliff edge.
The site caters for all ages and types of campers, we had all sizes of tents surrounding us. Into the evening there was a little bit of noise from other campers having a good time, but really only voices and laughter (who can honestly complain about people enjoying themselves whilst camping!) My three children all slept fine as by 11pm it was reasonably quiet.
In the village there are a few pubs, shops and a brilliant army surplus shop which sells very reasonably priced outdoor weather gear, in the other direction there is west runton which is pretty much the same, small villages but with the basic shops and a good pub. Beach access can be found easily from both these villages as there is no actual beach access from the site, but can easily be obtained by a short, beautiful, scenic cliff top walk.
All in all we all thought this site was fantastic and will definitely be using it regularly, it was not my top choice for our first trip but now I love it.
