 August 2004
The Campite is situated on the main coastal road between Cromer and Sherringham. It was reasonably well situated for visiting the North Coast of Norfolk. We visited the site on a busy fortnight in early August and enjoyed our stay very much. However, there were a few things that could have been improved. The size of the pitches, although marked, were 20 foot square this might sound alot but you have to get everything into that space including your car, your tent takes up a larger area than you might think especially the new igloo style tents. They don't ask you what size tent you have when you book and allocate you a pitch number. This does result in big tents being squashed together with little space. I would have thought that had they alternated big tent and small tent it would have given everyone more space.
As other people have mentioned the grass cuttings are a bit of a problem, but at the end of the day you are in a field and they do have to cut the grass. It would improve matters if they could get a machine that collected it as well.

They could probably do with a few more showers during the busy season but we only had to queue a couple of times and it wasn't for long. On the showers you press a button which turns the hot water on for twenty seconds (yes I timed it) and then you have to press it again and again until you have finished your shower. The taps are similar but only run as long as you hold them down so an extra hand would have been useful.

Good things to mention. You walk from the site along a path to the beach, excellent play area for the children, good area for dogs. A short car journey to Cromer, you could walk it if you felt energetic. Co-Op and Safeways in Cromer so don't recommend you use site shop for anything except newspaper unless you have to. They use a loan and use ice pack scheme, not seen it before but it did seem to work. You use their ice blocks paying a refundable deposit of £1.00 on each pack and then 30p per day on each block frozen. Get there early because the frozen blocks are at the bottom of the freezer and you have to dig for them.
The site seems to be run profesionally and there was always someone there if you had any problems. I would recomend this site to anyone unless you prefer a lot of quiet and more privancy, then perhaps you should look elsewhere.

This campsite has everything you may wish for.... if you are a caravanner! Campers are squeezed and squashed onto a field only really large enough for half the number of tents actually on! You are so close to your fellow campers you feel as if they are on holiday with you! Especially at night when the snoring starts!
Facilities on site depend on which block you go to. Go to caravan field block for cleanliness and lack of queues.
On the up side the facilities for children are good and the chap in the shop was friendly and helpful.
If this is the best campsite some people have been to I think they have to travel around the country a bit more!

Camped in this site a couple of times in 2003 as well. Excellent facilities, very clean and friendly. Professional and well organised without feeling regimental and oppressive. Reasonably priced. Best to phone up and book ahead to reserve a plot. Between Cromer and Sheringham. Their shop is a bit pricey for basic camping stuff; good camping shop at West Runton I think it is, 3 minutes drive away. Good adventure type playground and sand pit for youngsters. Will continue to come back to this site every year if they maintain these high standards.

 May Bank Holiday 2004
Have just spent a fantastic weekend at this site. Excellent facillities for the children (I have 2 - 7 & 11) which kept them amused all day. Staff were very helpful and cheery even when ticking us off for being a little too loud late at night!! - Sorry. We are tenters and although the site was completley full it didn't feel as if we were all squashed together.
Can be windy so dont't forget your windbreakers. Small but very well stocked shop. Was glad of the use of the launderette.
My only critism, which echos a few others was the lack of showers, unless you were an early riser there was a queue, however not enough to put me off going back.
Another plus side was that even though it was a Bank holiday, the park is very reasonably priced compared to others we had looked at, nice not to be ripped off. Overall one of the best sites I have visited, we even booked another trip whilst we were there.

 Easter 2004
Nice clean site situated on the main road into Cromer. The noise from the road can be quite load if situated on the field nearest to the road.
Staff where friendly. Only gripe would be not enough showers for the size of the site. I could imagine in Summer there would be quite a queue for the showers.

A great site sat on top of a cliff one and a quarter miles from Cromer. We were in a trailer tent and all the pitches around were level and well maintained. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the site facilities were excellent, the only minor faults were that there were too few showers and the hot water ran out in the morning for washing up apart from that it was great and we will visit it again.

Not visited this site for 5-6 years and found the standards still very high. I noticed two people from the euro camp sites commision doing their inspection. Going by the way they were talking things were ok, the site is set level on most places but some are sloping .all sites in the caravan motor home pitches have electric hookups, also some electric hookups in the tent /van field, also 6 multi service pitches, a large field for dogs and poop bins suplied , a good play site for the kids, a bus stop near the entrance, a well stocked shop, and very friendly staff, well worth a visit geoff annb

A nice clean site overlooking the sea, with great views of the coast. The site is located a few minutes drive from Cromer.

There are separate areas for tents, caravans and mobile homes. Pitches are allocated prior to arrival. It can be a bit windy, but there are more sheltered pitches available.

The showers and toilets are good, with free hot water. There is also a small shop on site which sells essentials, and has an ice pack hire facility.
