July 2005 Nice site, been twice this summer.
Very handy for Hawes but far enough out to be peaceful. Hawes has several pubs and eating places and there is good walking to be had nearby.
Wash block and washing up facilities were fine. Showers were 20p for 5 minutes and 20p was plenty of time for me even when washing hair. Only had to wait once for a shower (there are 3). Washing up sinks are indoors and have hot water.
Camping is just round the field edges with pitches marked on the wall which are plenty big enough. This leaves the site still looking quite pleasant even when full. Most pitches are flat but there are a couple that I wouldn't have fancied due to slopes. You pick your own pitch on arrival. The site got full for tents both times we went so I wouldn't hang about if you are thinking of going on a Friday if it looks like a nice weekend.

August 2004 Have returned to this site found it to be clean and tidy and well run with good showers and toilets and quiet after 11pm.
Hawes town center is in easy walking distance with pubs doing meals fish shop and a variety of other shops, a good base for walking and sightseeing.

September 2004 A spacious quiet site with magnificent views in a stunning little town. The showers and toilets are spotless and there was plenty of room for the kids to play without disturbing neigbouring pitches. The owners are great and are very helpful. As this site is only an hour away from home I will be making a few visits back this year.

April 2005 This was our second stay here and we would definitely recommend this site. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly and the site is peaceful with fantastic views. Despite appalling weather overnight (we thought the tent was going to blow away!) we had a fantastic weekend. There are plenty of walks and the village is only 10 mins away.

August 2004 Spent 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend. Nice site, helpful staff, fabulous scenery, facilities very clean. Weather abysmal!! As mentioned by other reviewers, take plenty of tent pegs, it's the windiest place we've ever been to. But considering all the rain the ground remained firm enough to drive on. A site we will return to.. having studied the forecast first!!!!

August 2004 A fantastic campsite, spent a week here and had a really good time. A family run site and everyone were very helpful. They even charge your phone battery for you! From the advise of other reviews we requested the bottom field, which turned out to be a good idea, we could see the wind getting up on the other tents in the upper field. Will definately stay again.

July 2004 Fabulous site - spotlessly clean - even though the site was full to capacity.
Very helpful owners, within 10 min walk of everything Hawes has to offer.
We will undoubtedly be back!!

July 2004 Have just got back from a weekend at Bainbridge Ings and although the weather left a lot to be desired, the site was very good.
The lady who greeted us was very friendly and gave us a choice of pitches which are clearly marked out. The site was nearly full but as the pitches are around the around the walls of the site then there is a plenty of space in the middle of the fields for access for cars and room for sporting activities.
The toilets and showers were clean and you seemed to get plenty of time for your 20p in the showers. The pitch was only £8.50 a night so I didn't mind paying an extra 20p for a shower.
It is a good base for walking, cycling and roaming around the dales and is recommended.

June 2004 A lovely friendly site. Beautiful views of the Yorkshire Dales, but can be rather windy so make sure eveything is pegged down. Toilets spotlessly clean. Would recommend this site to anyone.
