A cracking site all round. Quiet and lots of space for children to run around. Quiet at night, good on site services and information. Tip - If a bit windy then try to get in the bottom field.
All this nonsense about 20p's (see other review)is ridiculous! The site owners have a huge box full for exchange anytime.
We'll definately be going back.

Concur with other reviews. A beautiful setting for a site. Good clean facilities, didn't have problems with needing 20p's since we use our own facilities. Can be windy so make sure everything is pitched properly!
Village is just a 10 min walk to a great selection of shops, pubs and eatery's.

We stayed here in June 2003 for a week and we found the family whose site it is were most, most friendly and helpful.
The views all around this site are beautiful.
We had our pitch reserved as were were staying for 6+ nights (they don't reserve for anything less its on a first come basis) We were pitched in the walled 'open' field, which we found a little scary when the wind got up (having had our tent flattened in Ayr in May this year!) Shower and washing/washing-up facilities very good.
The walk down into Hawes through a field took about 15 minutes. The site is well placed to reach most places in the Yorkshire Dales.
We will definitely use this site again when we are back in that part of the country.

Excellent site with good level pitchs, appears to get very busy at weekends. The owners very very helpful, they even lent us some extra pegs to tie down our new dome (we needed it as the wind can make the site a little exposed) best tip is to pitch near the wall or on the bottom field. Though we will definately return again to this site and would recommend to any body.

A very nice campsite in a great location a short walk from Pubs and shops.
A little surprised to pay 20p for a bucket full of water to wash up in!!
Nice views and I would return armed with 20ps.

If you like camp sites with wonderful scenery you'll like this one, the views are magnificent in every direction.
The site itself is very nice, the facilities are good, the daily rate was fairly cheap £9.50per night,then you pay for everything you use including washing up water - take plenty of 20p.
I enjoyed this site, its just a short walk to the village with plenty of pubs, cafes and shops.

This site is brilliant, very quiet and lots of room for children to play without disturbing other campers. The facilities are very clean and the site is within walking distance of Hawes. I would recommend this site to anyone and will definitely return. Excellent value for money.
