Very happy with my stay. Small campervan on hardstanding with hook-up.
Reception friendly and helpful.
Toilet block (Male) nice & clean, just two individual shower/toilet/sink units. Good hot shower. Pot wash sinks outside.
Toilet facilities may be not enough during busier holiday periods.
A few additional small native shrubs/small trees would enhance this lovely peaceful site ?
Convenient for Hawes a 15 minute walk for groceries, chip shop & pubs and near to the Pennine Way and other hill walks.
Would definitely visit again.

A very spacious peaceful caravan site. No charge for showers as mentioned in previous reviews.
The shower/bathroom were spot on, very clean, plenty of hot water. I agree that a few individual toilets would be useful although we didn't encounter any problems having to queue. A light would be useful around the pot washing area.
Plenty of walking from the site and Hawes village centre with pubs, independent shops, chippy and a well stocked Spar shop is a short walk from the site.
Would certainly come again.
Well done to the owners. They could have easily taken on more caravan pitches but so glad they didn't !

Beautifully kept site in picturesque location just outside of Hawes, level pitches which are ideal for camping / campervans.
Toilet block is newly fitted out with showers & toilet in the same cubicle, could do with a couple of separate toilets, but other than that can't fault the site.

I stayed here for one night visiting family, who were staying in one of the pods.
There are large flat pitches, and the views from the site are beautiful.
The only thing of note is that the facilities consist of shower rooms, which consist of WC, wash basin, and walk in showers. In busy times these could be inadequate.
Otherwise an enjoyable experience and I will certainly return.

This site is in an idyllic location with super views all round. We were, though, a bit miffed to have to pay the full price (£27 pn) when NONE of the facilities were open due to Covid (not even the toilets!).
We were able to visit the local attractions (Hardraw Falls, the Wensleydale Creamery - where we had an excellent lunch - and the village itself which is very quaint).
The site seems to be moving more towards glamping pods than tourers.

Very welcome at site
But toilet and shower facilities locked and not warned beforehand.
Charged £27 per night.
We then stayed at a site 9miles away for £20 per night with all facilities open. Which was the best site?
I will leave judgement to the reader.

I've been to Bainbridge Ings previously and have always enjoyed the experience and had told my better half much about it.
We decided to go for a belated anniversary getaway and I was interested to know what she'd make of it; knowing the setting to be unbeatable but the facilities a little basic and she's pretty fussy about such things!
On arrival we were greeted by Colin - one of the owners - who really couldn't have been any more welcoming and helpful. We were given a choice of pitches and picked one near some of the new glamping pods which gave us a fantastic view plus access to EHU which until we arrived, we didn't know had been made available to tents - bonus!
The site has undergone some significant changes since I was last there and I wasn't sure whether this would 'ruin' the experience with the addition of a significant number of glamping pods and statics. This wasn't an issue for us as most of them are in a separate area of the site.
Whereas previously, tent pitches were around the outside of the field, they now make use of the whole field but the pitches are well marked and spacious with some gravel hardstanding for vans / motorhomes but there's still plenty of room - even on a busy bank holiday.
Toilet and washing facilities, however had not changed and were still fairly basic and could do with updating, but everything was always clean and tidy with no queues.
The site is a short walk from Hawes which has some good pubs, cafes and a well-stocked Spar shop. Would highly recommend Caffe Curva for excellent and reasonably priced homemade food.
As others have said, the owners - Karen and Colin - could not have been more helpful and are doing an excellent job with this site. Despite us having issues with a group camped nearby partying until the wee small hours, the matter was swiftly and professionally dealt with and the incident did not spoil the stay with positive action being taken.
I understand that there are plans to withdraw group bookings which for us enjoying a bit of peace at night would be a massive benefit.
We did get access to the pods and statics to have a look around and I have to say they do look great, well equipped and comfortable and would be a fab alternative to the tent for a special treat or a visit out of season. Some even have hot tubs. With views!
We will definitely be back and look forward to seeing how the place develops. We just hope it's not over-developed and loses some atmosphere.

We had a night here on the way back from a vw festival. Phoned up and were booked in on arrival by the very pleasant owner. Toilet block basic but functional. On our visit the water in them was off so we had the use of on of the pods. Great location, easy walk into Hawes with some great pubs and a good chippy. Look forwards to returning in the Summer.
