The camp site is simple, clean and beautiful. The toilets/shower block is always clean and stocked.
The on-site wardens are lovely and very helpful. This is our fourth year visiting and the site is still great.
The weekend felt like a very long enjoyable weekend.
Recommend the beach, the country park next door, able to play cricket and games in the Center of our field, there is a lake just down the road for paddle boarding and water activities, good pubs, great fish and chips to name a few things to do.
It feels like you are away from everything even though it’s just down the road for us. Even watching the stars at night is great.
Highly recommend the site

John was a wonderful helpful host. As were the receptionists I spoke to to book the trip.
Wonderful site, amazingly clean everywhere.
Only complaint was two women talking outside their caravan until after 1am. Which spoilt our sleep completely.

We have been before so knew what to expect
Excellent site, grounds flat but firm needs decent tent pegs,
Showers are second to none, clean with hot water music playing,
Decent pub next door close to beach.
Camped there 3 times now
Will return

Site is very well presented - clean and tidy.
Landscaping is particularly well done with neat hedging and areas of woodland as well as open grass areas.
Facilities are clean and have everything required for our stay.
Staff are friendly and helpful,

We were met by a Warden who showed us to our pitch and the water and electric facilities.
He then gave us a fairly in-depth view of other facilities on the site and locally.
This included nearest pub walking times to West Mersea (fairly accurate)
Whilst I was not accompanied by any children there was a young child’s play area plus of course the beach

We loved how quiet the site was even when extra units arrived over the weekend.
Fen Farm is very dog friendly, there are great areas on site that you can walk the dog, plenty of dog poo bins that are emptied regularly & there's access to lots of good walks, countryside or seaside around the site.
The camping fields are beautifully maintained & there's a play area for children along with a large field you can use for any activities that require space.
If you like slot machines & a club house this is NOT the site for you but there's a great pub 5 minutes walk away (The Dog & Pheasant) & other places to eat & drink a short drive away.
The staff are very friendly & helpful.
The only real gripe I had was that WiFi access was poor.
